DO NOT RENT FROM GREENBRIAR- Med Center LOCATION UNLESS YOU WANT OUTRAGEOUS CHARGES AFTER THE FACT! I am not one to post negative reviews on any of my accounts but this has to be said to protect others. I had a wonderful experience at this location (or so I thought) while my car was being serviced for maintenance wear and tear. An Enterprise Associate picked me up from mechanic and brought me to Enterprise (in car I would be renting). The wait time wasn't that long, about 7 min). Once it was my turn, we went out to inspect the silver Altima and she marked down the dents, scratches, parts of vehicle that were separated and assured me it's already marked down on their end and then marked down in front of me and I pointed out others because I don't want to be liable for any damages from someone else. Day of returning car, wait time was a little longer but it was okay because Associate at desk was kind and polite. She did the return car check and she said everything was fine, of course with the car. Gas was even filled (even though it was only supposed to be have been above the half point, but I returned the car earlier than expected thanks to Amazing mechanics at Eric's Car Care in Rice Village. Because of the full tank of gas and Associate being kind, she even credited me $15, making entire credit of $33.55, not a negative balance but a positive one. There were no issues then and definitely shouldn't be any issues now. I was refunded the remaining balance and waited about 20 min for someone to come and take me back to Eric's. When Pedro arrived, I offered to stay and wait longer so he can have his lunch that he had but he said it was alright. We headed back to mechanic (in the rental I just returned) for Pedro to drop me off and that was that.... thats what I thought until today when I got an email stating I OWE them $1,285.50 for alleged damages If I had incurred any damages, I would have already informed Enterprise. I have been using Enterprise for over 20 years. What I won't accept is being held liable for damages before car was issued to me or after Ive already released vehicle and others have driven it. Car was returned a week ago & was fine and now they are claiming damages that were not done by me, damages that were there before me, damages that could be caused by their own Associates since they use the same rental I used to both pick up and drop me. Do not let them do this. Do not allow Enterprise, Greenbriar or any rental agency to use the same vehicle to drop you off. They will smile at your front but will hit you with outrageous charges and lies after the fact. This is the most dishonorable and despicable thing I've come across from a business.. Please, if you must rent, use AVIS that is close by on Kirby (5 min) this location or use another Enterprise, unless you want to get hit by charges that you didn't incur but they will claim you did, which now, I will have to fight against. And to think I was going to use this location for future rentals but I will continue using another Enterprise location I tend to use in SW Houston for trips. I even left them a glowing review after receiving the message with a link to rate them 24 hrs after returning the vehicle (please remove that review wherever it is posted since it clearly a lie now). I've driven rentals out of city and nothing, now to have this car for 4 days, locally, they are trying to put previous damages and/or damages that happened outside of my care on me. I only used this location out of convenience and look how that turned out. Go where you know , do not use them because of convenience. Convenience will cost you. They couldn't get their money from previous renter who actually incurred the damages on the vehicle or one of their own Associates caused the previous and/or new alleged damages before and/or after I came into picture, now they are trying this disgusting stunt. Do not use Enterprise on Greenbriar, unless you want to be charged or deal with the headache and hassle that I am currently undergoing. Happy Mother's Day to me. Blessings. read more

Brought my rental in for a swap out due to my horrible experience in them not checking the rentals before renting them at the 1406 South Loop W Houston, TX 77054 location. I was greeted as soon as I arrived. The man at the front was really friendly and communicative with the status of the vehicle being prepared. I waited about 20 minutes for them to detail the car, which was understandable on short notice. Car I received was in great condition other than a maintenance light that was meant to be reset. But Daniel Guillie What is the best representative I've ever worked with. He was more than professional he was super accommodating and actually cared about what I needed. He went above and beyond I could ever imagine, he met every need I could ever have ever thought of. I would highly recommend this man. The car he rented me was fabulous everything I wanted. This company took reservations from my wife and promised not to rent out the car to anyone else. My wife works nights and had already been to budget and Avis. She walked from budget down the street after working her shift and waiting for a car at Avis, based on the person promising a car. She explained that she needed to get home and takE care of our triplets after getting a few hours sleep. I was on my way to pick her up but turned around bc the person promised her a car. She got there to find out it was not true. According to the person in the store it was the fault of the sales people ooo the line, and according to those people it was tHe fault of the person in store. No matter what, they are very unreliable. They will not get our business again. Never meant to visit Enterprise but after an unfortunate experience with someone who was learning how to drive - their insurance sent me to the closest rental car place. Tony greeted me and was pretty awesome through the whole process - which made me feel better about letting go of my brand new car for a week. There was a woman there as well - which I forgot her name - was super nice and really helpful. As well as another guy who came in on his day off to check his email - only to step in to help out the line when the staff was bogged down with people returning vehicles. AWESOME. I wish Yelp had an option for ZERO stars. Rachel at the enterprise on Greenbriar in Houston, TX was the epitome of terrible customer service and incompetent in the area of service recovery. I called Enterprise to make a rental reservation to pick my family up from the airport. I took a Lyft to this location because I didn't have a car. The gentleman man that I spoke to in reservations was very helpful and informed me that there would be a car available at this location. Once I arrived, Rachel informed me that she was "just" about to call me because they didn't have any cars available (which I later found out was because they improperly failed to update their inventory). I explained to her that I just got off of the phone with enterprise and made my reservation and she told me that that was impossible because I didn't talk to her and that's not how enterprise runs their business. I explained to her that I would not have paid for a ride to the location if I didn't have a reservation with a guaranteed car available. Rachel then told me that wasn't her fault or problem and continued to argue with me for 15 minutes telling me that I didn't call enterprise because she never got a call and that I talked to a 3rd party and scheduled because I couldn't get a car without talking to her directly. I explained to Rachel that this was highly inconvenient considering I had to pick my family up and she told me "either I can pay more money to get a bigger car or there was nothing that she could do". My issue with that was Rachel failed at making herself (and the company) look good by identifying fault in the experience and offering me a courtesy upgrade. To make matters worse, when I asked her if she could check to see if there were any cars available any neighboring stores (because I took a Lyft and wanted to be in close proximity) she told me that I could call them myself. I was absolutely appalled at Rachel's response and disregard for what occurred. I told her that it would be nice if she called since this was an error with enterprise. She shrugged her shoulders and proceeded to text. She puts a piece of paper on the counter and says "here, they have availability." When I put the address in the GPS, it was almost 10 miles away. Absolutely I consider since I was in a Lyft. I told Rachel that I would call back enterprise, since she accused me of not calling enterprise and once I got them on the phone, the next representative (very kind lady) informed me that their inventory STILL had not been updated and confirmed that the only way they can make reservations is if the inventory was available. I then asked this representative if there were other cars available closer than what was provided and she informed me that there were. I was absolutely blown away that Rachel was so vindictive and petty that she would give me something that far considering my situation. I had to escalate my call to customer service and file a complaint because of Rachel's terrible customer service and negligent attitude. I later got a call from Steve (the district manager) who told me that they weeds going to give me a free upgrade and that this was a "coaching moment" for Rachel. But to be honest, coaching is definitely far out of her reach if that's her attitude towards people. I was a precious operations manager and I would be mortified if any of my staff were an ounce of what Rachel presented that day. And the free upgrade? That should have been a given. But after an hour and a half trying to convince someone to honor a reservation that I already had, I definitely think something more commensurate should have been provided to address that terrible terrible experience. I doubt I would use enterprise again after Rachel's poor behavior and professionalism. read more

Not sure what has happened. Perhaps a new manager for this location is required or at least buy the current manager an alarm clock. I called Friday to make a reservation. I was told they open at 7:30am. The sign on the door reads they open at 7:30am. Currently 8:12am. Nobody here. Several folks have come to drop off cars. I called the enterprise 800 number. They told me the location is open. I informed them I'm standing in front and nobody is inside. Ok, we had a time change over the weekend. After getting into my 4th car accident in one year (and no, none of them have been my fault), I needed a rental and fast. Since I was at a conference in the Med Center, this was the closest car rental agency around and we went with it. The insurance set everything up and I called during my lunch break and they offered to come pick me up from my meeting to avoid getting a cab. I was thrilled and waited patiently for my ride. The entire process was a breeze. I came into the clean (though sparsely decorated) room and within 30 minutes I had a car waiting for me. Since I had a lot of moving to do, I went with a little SUV that cost me $9 more than what my insurance company would pay. I figured it wouldn't be a big deal since it sounded like my car would be considered totaled by the insurance company within days. The next day, I found out that my car probably wouldn't be totaled and that they'd try to fix my car up. Considering that I'd need a new transmission, front panels, hood, windshield, airbags, etc., I assumed that I'd probably need the rental for the full 30 days if not more. I'm a cheapie and the thought of paying near $300 for a rental car (I'm not even going to think about how much it'll cost me if my car isn't done within the 30 day window), I went back that day to exchange my SUV for something free. They were incredibly nice about it! My same girl was there, but still on her lunch break so someone else helped me. By the time I left, I felt like part of the family. Everyone was cracking jokes and being extra friendly. Both cars have been immaculate (well, this Dodge has coffee stains up on the roof's upholstery), and the paperwork has been fast and efficient. I've never had such good service at a car rental place and even though it is way out of my normal driving zone, I'd definitely use them again. read more

When my bf damaged his vehicle, he had to get a rental during the repair process. He visited this location the day after damaging the car and the vehicle he chose was an unexpected gas-guzzler. He went into the location today to swap out the car (I've done it before, so FYI for your future rentals) and he had the misfortune to deal with Tony Ferrara (sp.) He flat out refused to swap the car saying, that all their cars were reserved. That's fine but he took it a step further and refused to call another location to check on their availability and inaccurately claimed that there was no swapping of cars between locations (another lie confirmed by my prior experience and Enterprise customer service). Needless to say, after a call to Enterprise customer service, he was eventually able to swap out the car at a different location. Although I will continue to use Enterprise, if you encounter TONY "Mr. Customer-Service Oriented Professional 2012", don't be afraid to push back if something doesn't sound right. You pay their salary and they are there to help you so they should act like it. read more

Worst experience ever. I rented a suv mid February almost three weeks prior to my reservation date. I came to pick up my rental just to be told that they had no call back number and that it was overbooked and they no longer had a rental for me. Then the lady in the front tells me to make another reservation. I felt she wasn't even trying to better the situation or assist me in anyway. Pretty much telling me no car sorry go call them. This was my 2nd attempt renting a car at this location. Despite having a reservation both times, they didn't have a car available in the size I requested. Waited on 2 customers that arrived after I did. Claimed that the manager had contacted me about having to rent an alternate sized car, but no phone calls or emails were received. During the phone reservation, the attendant argued with me about what time it was in my local area. Refused to rent a car to me with my debit card without proof of income & a paper copy of a utility bill. They may be a few dollars cheaper, but it's because of the horrendous service all around. read more

Went in for a rental while my car was in the shop and was tricked into "buying" insurance that my credit card already covered. Rental agent told me it was "part of the deal" to upgrade to a SUV but when the rental was over, they charged me over $1,000 for a rental less than a month. Later I found out there are special deals if your car is in the shop as well as a lower deposit authorization on the credit card. The "coverage" these people sell are almost always unnecessary but they hire these poor kids out of college and work them to death; having them think they'll become management. The truth is it's not a rental agent job or a management training job but a SALES job where if you don't sell these really expensive and unnecessary coverage then you get fired in six months. The rental agents end up lying, tricking and hammering customers like the investment bankers they all try to dress like. Once I tried to buy a car from Enterprise Car Sales, thinking it was a good deal. Turns out the mileage was off by 16%, per the Nissan dealership. The car had 16% more miles than what showed on the odometer. Turns out it wasn't such a great deal after all. I'm not sure if this is done on purpose but most of the cars I drove on that Enterprise car lot drove rough. Not too rough but rougher than a car with 25,000 miles should drive like. That was my experience with Enterprise. read more

Rented from Houston downtown location with return to IAH. Paid an extra $50 drop fee which was OK. However, when I got to the airport the checkin person at the car return area said he could not check me in and I had to go to the counter. No one wants to go to the counter to check in. You have to get in line behind the renters . Everyone explained to me that different IT systems were used in the off airport locations vs. the airport locations. This was not something I wanted to here after the fact. Took me 20 minutes to check the car in at the counter vs. the 5 minutes I was expecting at the car return area. Next time I will take Uber which costs $33. Money is not the issue so much as the convenience. Any delay when going for a flight control causes angst. read more

I recently booked an intermediate SUV reservation with the Enterprise location at 6829 Greenbriar, Houston, TX. I needed the SUV for moving. I walked in but Enterprise didn't have any cars. The prospects of getting a car seemed pretty bleak. Lately, it has been quite challenging (and expensive!) to get rental cars. However, Cory T. with Enterprise went all out to find a car for me. I greatly appreciated the level of effort he put into getting a car for me. In the end he found me a mini van for the same price which worked even better than an intermediate SUV. read more

I've had occasional car trouble with my old car and have needed Enterprise at the last minutes for a few days at a time since I work in home health and travel a lot so I have to have a vehicle. Everyone has always been so pleasant to work with and have guaranteed I have a great experience. I use someone else's credit card to put on file and since I'm a repeat customer they always waive the additional driver fee which is nice. They have great rates during the week, but the weekend can be pretty pricey. I will continue to give Enterprise my repeat business. read more

I am a frequent car renter because of my work. In over five years of making dozens of reservations per year, I've never had trouble with a reservation. This location accepted and had my reservation and on the day of pick-up, they didn't have the car. Alamo Car Rental saved the day and I didn't have to cancel my trip. It was quite the inconvenience, though, to go to the pick-up only to find out they didn't have my car. I'll never rent from this location again. read more

This has got to be one of the worst businesses I have ever been to ever. I would like to give it a minus 1 star, but oh well. We reserved a car only to find we had to wait over an hour when we got there at our scheduled time to get ANY car. Then, they said they wouldn't have any cars available. Customer service was non-existent, to be generous. To quote Seinfeld, "I don't think you do. You see, you know how to 'take' the reservation, you just don't know how to 'hold' the reservation. They had one vehicle left and she wasn't willing to give it to me at our original rate because it was a higher grade vehicle. I was even willing to exchange it when they had our car in stock. We have rented vans on 2 occasions and have 3 more reserved. The staff at the Greenbriar location are great. Although Enterprise is a large chain, the staff here treat you like they own the business. They are attentive, thorough, and professional, and make it easy to contract a rental vehicle. They are proud of their vehicles and want to make sure a renter gets the best car for their needs. The demonstrated the features of the car so that we could take full advantage of what the vehicle had to offer. We wouldn't rent locally from anyone else. A special shout out for Alfred and Courtney who we have dealt with on multiple occasions, in person and by phone. They are great!! read more

I am a bit late with this review, however I HAD to make sure to get this review in! I have been renting from this location for several years (over 6) when I visit Houston, and they always give me great customer service. This trip, I was returning on a weekend. I was actually calling to extend to the next day, thinking I would leave the keys in the dropbox, then realized that they closed at 1pm, and there was no dropbox. My flight was leaving the that night, and there is no drop box for the keys. They were closing in 30 minutes, and I was clear across town. I jumped in the car, but according to the navigation, I was going to be late by 5 minutes. I called and spoke to JASMINE, and she assured me she would wait there for me, and gave me NO ATTITUDE OR ISSUES!!!! I pulled in at 5 after the hour, returned the vehicle with no issues, and was on my way. If they would not have stayed and waited for me, I do not know how I would have ever gotten the car back without rescheduling my flight!!! I rented a car from #0611 after our cars were flooded during Hurricane Harvey. I overpaid by $199.90 but Malcolm Trail would not reimburse me for this amount. He made excuses and blamed the upper echelon at Enterprise and Farmers'. The WORST customer service I've ever experienced!!! I am contacting the BBB and the Texas Attorney General.
