The cheapest car that they had was a Tesla. It was dirty and damaged. When I dropped it off the next morning, the lady at the front desk had an attitude because we didn't park it in a spot instead and instead of just asking us politely to move it she scoffed at us and went back and forth about it. Worst place EVER! I picked up a car with only 150 miles of gas in the tank and was told to return it the same way, which we did. We paid for gas ourselves from Ct to Fla. Then we were charged again for not leaving the car with a full tank! They do not answer their phone. Stay away from there unless you want to get shafted! read more

If I could rate them negative stars I would because this business is so incredibly useless and incompetent. Not only am I STILL waiting for the return of one deposit (it's been 2 months now) I had to drive 20 minutes to the office to show them where the keys were returned after they (allegedly) searched all through the return box and couldn't find it, but I found them IMMEDIATELY after I lifted up the flap. The office personnel are incredibly rude and demeaning to anyone and everyone and talk to the clients like we are idiots, when it is their policies and lack of work ethic that is the issue. I have also had issues when I had to renew my rental and the renewal wasn't actually entered so I ended up getting called by their overdue department twice and being charged late fees despite the error being on their end and not mine. Back with ANOTHER Review a month later this place tried charging me $901.46 DO Not Give Them your card information they will steal it and try to charge you even after you have already dropped off the car. This place has two stars but it really should be shut down. The customer service is trash and they will try try to mix up the story on what they tell you. DO NOT TRUST THEM! Lettie (not sure of spelling) tried to help us out but couldn't meet our need for a specific time. She made a few phone calls and worked to help, but we had to get a car from a different company. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION! Today I called this Hertz office to arrange a drop off, the person behind the counter told me to come by and he would give me a ride back to my destination. I drove 32 miles for this representative to tell me when I arrived that he had no way to drive me back??? I am a small business owner, this is not acceptable. I sincerely wish I could give this atrocious establishment 0 stars, because I would. Let me start out by saying that my girlfriend and I initially planned to rent the car for a day, but based on timing, we were only able to get the car for a two day rental. That's what Tom, the employee (who was nonchalant and even friendly) told us. Fine, no worries. As long as we got the car back to the Hertz lot by 5 pm on Sunday (we picked up our car Saturday morning), that'd be fine. So when my girlfriend returned the car on Sunday like she was instructed, and found no one there, she carefully wrapped her keys and receipt together and placed them in the mailbox in front of the building. Fast forward to Wednesday, when we have somehow been charged for TWO extra days, and are now not entitled to recouping the insurance on the car (something we were considering passing on, but came highly recommended by the astounding Tom) because Hertz "had no idea where the car was." It was parked in the exact same spot it was picked up, when we were told to drop it off. If you're considering using this service, I encourage you to not think twice about passing, because you'll be met with negligent employees, and a company that doesn't take any responsibility FOR its negligent employees. They're far more concerned about omitting every detail they possibly can so they can dock people an obscene amount of money. Good day. read more

Not sure I understand the previous bad reviews that this location has received. I got excellent service including a pickup at my location on time and a dropoff following the return of the vehicle. All individuals connected with the service were considerate and helpful, the car provided great service for two weeks and the cost was reasonable. I would certainly use them again. Perhaps the personnel have changed since the last bad review, but I'm good to go with them. read more

The only person there was completely incompetent. He was not knowledgable about any changes that were automatically made to my reservation. I had to help myself by sitting on the phone with customer service. After going through two broken vehicles, and leaving without any rental, it was easily the biggest waste of my time and sanity. I was very nervous after I read all the bad reviews but the whole process went pretty smoothly. I kept the car a few hours late and they waived the fee. The only thing to be aware of is you can't use your debit card to pay even though the website clearly said you could with a fee. read more

I had a pickup appointment for 10am. Got there a bit early 915ish and they said they didn't have any cars. Ok, my fault for coming early. I asked when it would be and he said 10am.. no problem. So I left, went to an appointment, and walked 4 miles back to get the car.. didn't get there till after 11, so I assumed it would be ready and waiting. Wrong. At 11:40am they pulled a FILTHY blue legacy around the building and said you're all set. I asked if they were even going to put it thru the car wash (there's one across the street).. the guy at the counter laughed it off. He asked if I saw any damage... (Thru the dirt and bird poop coating the vehicle) and I pointed out what scratches were evident on a dirty car. The passenger seat had what I hope was chocolate smeared down the center as well. I asked again if it was going to be cleaned, and that I've never received a dirty rental, especially not at this level.. again laughed it off. I washed the car on my own when I got home. And once more (thru a car wash) before I returned it out of common courtesy... (There were a lot of bugs plastered to the front when I returned from my trip.) I was unhappy with that pickup experience. I'd also appreciate the key drop put back onto the building so when I try to return it on Sunday, I don't make the unnecessary trip to find out that I have to make a return trip Monday and walk home yet again. Honestly, I've never had someone laugh at me for expecting a clean vehicle... when it was more than an hour and a half late to boot! Not thrilled with this experience, but the car was good on mileage and my AAA discount helped on price. (Even tho I put that discount $ into car washes). Just found out I was charged $27 for a $1.80 toll as well!!!! Took the survey over a week ago and haven't heard from anyone at all... You should be attentive to your customers! read more

Renting a car from this Hertz location was a horrible experience. In fact it was so bad I actually called management and gave the names of the employees that I worked with. First, I scheduled a pick up the day before and they arrived 30 minutes late. Second, I went to drop off the car a few days later and the office was closed in the middle of the day with no prior warning. After getting my car totaled in an accident at no fault of my own, I was recommended to this office of HURTS. Kyle was very friendly and glad to help. When I told him that I needed a bigger vehicle as my 2011 rogue was fully packed with a bubble on top, he quickly told me of the policy against this. I also told him that I drive for uber and would be needing to use this rental for work (uber) as well. He said nothing about the policy against this and happily rented the Toyota 4Runner to me that he knew I needed to use for uber and it is against their policy to allow cars for hire. When I inquired as to the whereabouts of the vehicle registration that was not in the vehicle 5 days later, and mentioned that I need a copy for uber, I was then informed that it is against policy. Well thank you Kyle for telling me this before I rented the car for this use. And thank you for hanging up on me twice when I called to talk about this issue. It is extremely hard to make an official complaint against a hurts employee with the company. But Yelp is easy and it hits more people and that hurts their bottom line.
