We booked our rental online about a week before traveling. The in person check in process was a breeze. It only took around 15 minutes in and out. They have a clean bathroom. The parking lot is pretty small and they told us which rental spot to find our car in and it was there and ready for us. They gave us a free upgrade or they just have larger SUVs then they do in CA. The SUV was very clean and was a smooth ride. We opted out of their insurance as we called our Insurance company and they will cover it for us. We returned the car to the Tampa Airport and that was a smooth return.

Was told this is initial so you don't take the toll, insurance, etc. The next day, I saw that hey, the box for toll is check accept and not denied but I did say I don't need since I have visitor toll pass and I was told to sign here to refuse them. Ask about it, I get a new invoice without it and the charge are getting erased. I dropped the car about 12 hours before my return time, somewhere around 10pm while my return time was 10am. Give the key to the hotel. One week later, I get etoll charge. Go back, was told to call the number on the transaction information on my credit card. Called the number, says to go online and fill a form. I fill the form, give screenshot of all the vtp till I paid and wait 2 week. Get answer saying the toll I'm due aren't in the vtp list and I'll get a partial refund. No more information on what or when. I reply with a GPS tracking proof of all my transit the 2 days I had the car where we clearly see all toll occured and I ask more information on what toll I supposedly did, when it occured with the date and time and remind them that I didn't had the car after 10pm. To this day, more then 2 weeks later , I'm still waiting. Done waiting, I've asked my credit card to reverse the charge. I'm not paying because someone used the car after I dropped it. That's stealing.

We were placed on hold while they verified and assured us we would be accommodated with at least an upgrade if the same class was not available. When we arrived, the manager told us there were zero vehicles available and directed us to return to the airport location instead. This did not match what we observed on-site. While we were standing there, multiple customers were actively checking in and being given their choice of vehicles directly from the lot, including specific models they requested, despite being told no vehicles were available. The clear inconsistency between what customer service confirmed, what the location stated, and what was visibly being done for other customers was extremely frustrating and misleading. We would not recommend renting with Alamo (or Thrifty) when visiting Orlando.

We had a horrible experience when we rented a car in Orlando, FL. Our flight was delayed and we got to the rental place 2.5 hours post our pick up time. When we get there, the supervisor tells me that our reservation was canceled 2 hrs post our pick up time. They then tell me that he is trying to take care of me by giving me a car that is $300 more. We went in thinking we would be paying $150 and we ended up paying $450. They add random fees and taxes so beware. Carry a copy of your insurance card with you or else they will charge you for insurance. When returning my vehicle, 3 other families were returning their cars and every single one of them were upset about unnecessary charges.
