If I'm renting a car and I can pick it up and drop it off during the day, there's a different car rent near my home. This location, however, opens earlier (7AM) and stays open later (7PM) than most locations. In addition, THEY ARE OPEN ON SUNDAYS. I find it convenient to be able to rent on a Sunday for a Monday morning trip. I am an AVIS member (as well as most other rental companies) and I get a fair price. They have plenty of cars, and they get me to my car very quickly without all the upselling of insurance and gasoline (unlike another rental car company that incentivizes their employees for the upsells). Renting cars isn't necessarily fun, but this location has made it convenient for me and it's appreciated.

    Worst rental experience of my life, do not recommend this location and this was the first time I've…read morerented from Avis but the first car they gave me smelled heavily of cigarettes and I ended up taking it back since the smell bothered me. The vehicle they exchanged it for was great until it wouldn't start the next morning and ended up making me late for my work conference. There was an electrical issue with the key that couldn't be resolved and instead of helping me or brining me another vehicle I had to wait hours for a tow truck to take the car and me to Ohare to exchange the vehicle. The most they would do is credit me for one day and this significantly derailed my trip overall. There are better rental companies for the price Avis charges. Their lack of customer service and failure to maintain their vehicles will make them a never again company for me.

I wish they had more than one person working so things went a bit more quickly but it wasn't too bad. Very friendly staff though! With the car itself, I wish it was easier to sync up my iPhone for streaming, never could get it to work. However it was mostly clean, found a wrapper in between the seats and one in the trunk...but overall clean & sanitized. Returning the car was even easier. I was there right at opening so things went really quickly and there were no problems with the return. No hidden fees but they do put a hold of a few hundred on your card while you have the rental. Tip: It's actual cheaper to get the gas refill through them. Nice little tidbit when gas is expensive AF.

The manager Jim also offered his card, in case we had any questions or needed anything while renting our car. The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee we rented was so comfortable and in great shape, despite a few sticky spots inside the car when we first got it. Alex said there can sometimes be soap residue from the cleaning. I was impressed with how easy it was to upgrade to this size SUV from the one I originally reserved. We loved the double sun roof too! Quick and easy return here too, even on a busy Monday morning. I would rent from this location again in the future.

First thing Hertz called me days before letting me know that they knew I was coming and that they will pick me up from the auto shop. My insurance covers me for $25 a day and Hertz gave me a littlest clown car that was $18 a day. When I got to the auto shop I still had to sit for 30mins for Hertz (they forgot about me I guess). Got to Hertz and it's this little hole in a wall spot next to Enterprise! Hertz had like 2 cars and Enterprise had a million in their lot. They tell me "Oh the person before kept this car very clean" well that was a lie. It had marks all over the place and they don't do a walk around like Enterprise does. And also I was told I had to put a "hold" for $50 which this wasn't my fault I should had to hold anything. Like I said the manager there was nice but this place is not organized what so ever and needs a paint job. I hope I never get into another accident but if that happens I will NOT come back here.

I did searches of rental car companies, rewards, discounts, etc. I've had great experiences with Enterprise in the past and my husband who traveled weekly for work for years is a huge fan of Hertz. Well, ironically this Hertz is right next to an Enterprise very close to my home. I called both places and was basically quoted similar rates. I then decided I felt the rewards program, along with my husband's feedback, made Hertz stand out so I booked my first car rental with them this month. I set up my rewards profile online and did the rental online. To me, ultimately it would come down to overall cost and customer service. My first experience was good. Took about 10 minutes to get a car on a Tuesday morning, the car was great, and returning the car that night was a breeze. The manager at the counter gave me a few tips on how I could save some money in the future and told me I should find it faster to pick up a car too, the first couple times I rent they like to see the credit card I have on file but once I'm an established customer they won't need to do that. Walked out of there happy that night. I chose to rent again the next week and again set up my reservation online. I needed to be on the road by 6:30 am so I needed to pick up the car the night before. I got on a train leaving Chicago that should have gotten me to Hertz in plenty of time before they closed. Well, a. Train derailed and caused a huge back up. I ended up getting off the train with 20 minutes before they closed. I called and said I knew I was late, I'm on my way and the gentleman says "No problem." I got there 7 minutes before they close and the employee walked right over to me as I was walking in and said "Tracy? Here are your keys and documents it's the black car, you are all set." I was literally out of there in less than a minute. Returning it was even better than the first time. Same manager who had given me tips on discounts the last time was there as sure enough one of the tips worked and this rental was cheaper than my last one. I stopped to thank him for the customer service and was probably in and out of there in three minutes. At this point I don't see why I'd chose to rent with another company. I have a stressful job, particularly on the days I drive around, and this type of customer service helps make the days less stressful.

They were flexible with pick up and return times and even offered to pick me up from the auto body shop if needed. When I arrived, they had minimal available guest parking spots but most people are without a vehicle when visiting. Derek helped me in getting a standard suv (Jeep Compass). My car was very clean, ran well, and was easy to temporarily connect to carplay. This location is very busy but Derek did his best to get me on my way. When returning the vehicle, it was fast and simple. Derek inspected my vehicle and sent me a confirmation email immediately. He was friendly and accommodating. Overall, I had a good experience with Enterprise Schaumburg and appreciated their variety of vehicles for rent.

    My husband and I rented a car from Enterprise, and we had a great experience!…read more My husband made an online reservation a month before the date we needed the car, and he picked his preferences all online and was also given a price we'd be paying when we went to the location. The location called us a couple of days before our reserved time as a reminder, as well! When we went to pick up the car, many cars in the parking lot looked nice. I told my husband that there were two specific beautiful ones I'd love to get. When we went inside, the man was friendly and helpful and led us outside to the car so that he could assure everything was ready with the car. It was the one I really liked: a 2023 Nissan Maxima! He checked the gas and mileage and then showed us the outside of the car. He then explained all the formalities and had my husband sign for the things we agreed on. Then, it was ours for a week! Pricewise, it truly wasn't bad at all! We didn't need any extras like insurance or iPass, so this was just for a sedan with unlimited miles. They charged us the same amount my husband was promised when he made the reservation, and they do charge your card $300 extra at the reservation so that if they need to charge you for anything extra when you return it (for damage or cleaning or whatever), then they already charged you part of it. Basically, it acted as a security deposit, but we got it returned to us when we returned the car the following week. We had no problems with the car on our trip to St. Louis. We had unlimited mileage, the car had modern technology, including GPS, and the ride itself was so smooth. Upon returning the car, the woman was nice and professional and asked if everything went well. She checked the car's appearance and checked the gas and mileage before we left. Overall, we had the best experience, and we got so lucky with the car we received. It was beautiful and now we want the car, haha!
