Great experience at this Enterprise location! No issues at the time of picking up the car, really simple process. I wish they had more than one person working so things went a bit more quickly but it wasn't too bad. Very friendly staff though! With the car itself, I wish it was easier to sync up my iPhone for streaming, never could get it to work. However it was mostly clean, found a wrapper in between the seats and one in the trunk...but overall clean & sanitized. Returning the car was even easier. I was there right at opening so things went really quickly and there were no problems with the return. No hidden fees but they do put a hold of a few hundred on your card while you have the rental. Tip: It's actual cheaper to get the gas refill through them. Nice little tidbit when gas is expensive AF. read more

We had a great experience with this Enterprise location. From the start, our agent Alex, who was new to Enterprise, was fantastic to work with and very efficient, despite not yet knowing all the processes by memory. The manager Jim also offered his card, in case we had any questions or needed anything while renting our car. The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee we rented was so comfortable and in great shape, despite a few sticky spots inside the car when we first got it. Alex said there can sometimes be soap residue from the cleaning. I was impressed with how easy it was to upgrade to this size SUV from the one I originally reserved. We loved the double sun roof too! Quick and easy return here too, even on a busy Monday morning. I would rent from this location again in the future. read more

We gave Enterprise 4 days to do something so simple which was to give us a standard mid-size car to rent. But, we were denied that simple request. They tried to make us believe that the did everything in their power to get us a standard car, but none were available ... even though their lot had a number of them parked there for several days. If a car rental company cannot get a customer a basic vehicle to rent, perhaps they should not be in business. It is obvious that they only wanted to rent us one of the more expensive vehicles to improve their bottom line because they knew that Hyundai was flipping the bill and they would most likely not complain about the inflated price. read more

This rental experience was completely awful! I was rear ended by someone which is why I needed a rental from enterprise because naturally my car was being taken care of at the collision place. Upon the very first day of the rental's arrival, I was provided a black Jeep Renegade, that smelled of cigarettes, was not cleaned , and there was still a toll balance on the vehicle from the previous renter! Additionally, this very vehicle had not been serviced prior to being issued out to customers. Several of the vehicle's maintenance lights came on indicating several of the Jeep's safety features needed to be looked at! The vehicle indicated the auto brake needed to be serviced, the air bag needed to be serviced, and the driver side seatbelt kept going off even though it was plugged in the whole time!! This vehicle even stopped working while I was at a red light! Then upon return the vehicle to enterprise and explaining the issues I've had, I was promised a call from the manager to remedy the situation. That call never came through. It even took several days just to get my invoice so that I can be reimbursed for the rental by the insurance! I had to contact Enterprise several times just to have this closed out with the insurance. Furthermore, I kept being promised that the regional manager or someone would contact me to fix this situation and that NEVER happened! I was even charged a fuel fee even though I returned the vehicle way ABOVE the half of tank of gas that was given to me!! I rented a car through Enterprise at their location at Gerber Collision in Schaumburg. I drove about 35-40 miles on it and found that they charged me $19.80. When I called them up they said the gas was almost empty (it was not) and that their records say I drove 291 miles. This is ridiculous. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news on Yelp, but I've experienced better. In past Enterprise experiences, if something goes wrong or just differently than anticipated, the employee(s) at least apologize for the inconvenience and makes a valiant effort to rectify the situation. That being said, we called to reserve a minivan for a 13 hour drive to South Dakota to film a scene from a movie the next day in Wyoming (an additional 2 hours). We requested and were told the vehicle would be ready by 11:30 so we planned accordingly with everyone else we needed to pick up, including the actor who was flying in that we needed to pick up along the way. When we came in at 11:20 the representative said it would be around shortly and we could have a seat. After waiting and a few nervous phone calls from the director, we had to ask about the status of the van at 12:15. They brought it out (still wet) and we left Enterprise at 12:30. Needless to say we were completely set back in our plans because we still had to load up at that point. I just can't imagine what the issue was that set us back an hour (which would have been more if we didnt ask) when we made a reservation and had assurance of a vehicle at a specific time. We also never received updates on the status of the van, they could have been more dilligent to at least check on the progress and relay that information to us while we waited. It's unfortunate because I have been to Enterprise locations where the employee would go to the end of the earth for customer satisfaction. Perhaps that's an over-the-top exaggeration, but they at least made an incredible effort to resolve the issue. (this was the Rolling Meadows Location off Algonquin). I had a rental from here when my mom accidentally bumped into my car and it had to be repaired. The rental was under their insurance. They were there right when i dropped off my car to be repaired and were very good at keeping in touch with the repair place to know that the repair took longer then expected. I didn't have to worry about having to be out of town while my car was being repaired. I forgot the parking pass for my condo in the rental when i dropped it back off and they worked with me to get it back. I will be heading over there today to pick it up. My only complaint is that the vehicle did not come with an iPass and I was not informed. I didn't realize it until I was right at the toll. They don't have to include one, it just would have been nice to have been reminded when i got the rental as all the rentals I have had in the past always had one. Thanks! read more

There is a policy that you cannot rent with a debit card without a utility or phone bill. Who walks around with a utility bill. I offered to prepay and even offered cash. I was denied. The manager was very sarcastic about it. He seemed to enjoy denying me. I was wearing surgical scrubs and he told me most people have more money on credit than debit even if that was not true for me. I ended up leaving. I was late for my 5 year old's birthday and did not get the minivan to drive around with grandparents. This place does not deserve your business. I've rented lots of cars and have never seen such a policy of such shitty service. I was begging them to take my money but they wouldn't! read more

If I could give this a 0 stars I would. This Enterprise is terrible and completely dishonest. Blamed me and my wife for a damage on our rental that THEY forgot to inspect before giving the car to us. Had to pay $400 out of pocket for something we didn't do. Avoid this Enterprise at all costs or go at your own risk. The WORST customer service ever! First of all, they assigned us a young lady who's been there a month and didn't explain the concept of transponder ez pass to us accurately. She said that it was fully activated & ready to use, turned out the transponder was not working so we ended up being inconvenienced and having to pay manually. I should have used my own transponder then. Second of all, the lady manager shouldn't have been called that, no sense of empathy and not compassionate at all. She was cocky and thinks she owns the place and I owe her by the way she handled our contract. Didn't honor a family discount and could have at least given us something for the week rental we made. I even asked to cancel our reservation to release the car so I can avail via Costco discount but she said it has nothing to do with it (again no explanation and not helpful). While we were there, we overheard another unhappy customer complaining to a rep. No one seems to be happy with this location. Corporate, you need to do something with the staff here as you're losing customers with this type of service. Don't let new staff deal with customers without thorough and proper training. Or permanently close this location! Will not come back, you just lost a long time customer! read more

One of the upmost worst customer service experiences I've had in my life, that's pulling from both personal and professional events. At one point during the exchange with the branch manager I wasn't sure if I was there to rent a car or tell my loan shark that I'll be late with this months payment. I was there to perform a very simple task; rent a vehicle due to mine being in service. Instead I stormed out with my heart rate over 180 bpm. The interaction with the associate who later identified himself as the branch manager, was not only frustrating and uncomfortable, but also very demeaning. When I'm giving someone my business I don't expect the "yes sir no sir", however I also don't expect to be treated like an a**hole. What's more disturbing is that he's actually the manager of that branch. When you manage any establishment you should not only set a good example for your employees, but also exhibit a higher level of customer service skills. I'm not going to go too much into details because I'll end up writing a novel, however one example was an attempt to add the supplemental insurances not my vehicle, when I declined the response was "you're not paying for this car Carmax is". Well guess what buddy not only am I paying for this car rental indirectly since I had to purchase the extended warranty that covers this rental, I'm also not here by force but by CHOICE. There's 4 other enterprise rent a car within a 2 mile radius. In closing I want to state that I'm a very easy going person and rarely will go to this level to complain. However this exchange warrants it. Again I understand that people have bad days and come from different backgrounds so interactions may vary may based on the individual. However I'm not going to stand being disrespected. Ona POSITIVE note I went to the neighboring store on 950 S Roselle and was treated like a customer is supposed to be treated. I had a good experience with this Enterprise. I was able to book a car for the days I needed, and got an upgrade to a SUV. I didn't have any issues with waiting, payment, or customer service. They did ask a lot of questions (where my current car was, what kind of car I drove, etc.). That was a little odd. But overall I would come back here and use them again. read more

Costco.com had the cheapest rates on the given dates for the given brand of vehicle - compared with kayak.com Review: I had initially booked a Jeep Grand Cherokee through Costco.com. When I arrived at the location, I was greeted by Robert Scanlan (Bob) - The Assistant Manager.Bob told me that there was no Grand Cherokee available. Sensing my disappointment, he immediately offered me a minivan - I was still not sure (my mind was set on the Grand Cherokee),he then called another Enterprise location to ascertain if they had any Grand Cherokees that were not snowed in. NO such luck. Bob, in effect - went above and beyond his duties, He then pulled up a Jeep Patriot to the front of the store - explained to me that even though the Patriot SUV was a tad smaller than the Cherokee, it would still fit my bags - furthermore, he helped me load the bags into the jeep (each of the bags weighed about 50 lbs) and this was during the bone chilling Chicago weather - additionally, since this was my first time with a Jeep patriot, he showed me how to quickly turn on the 4WD drive option.To summarize, Bob went out of his way to make sure that I had a pleasant rental experience. I would highly recommend this location primarily because of this outstanding and exemplary customer service. Pros: a) Exceptional Customer Service - a personal touch considering the Chicago winter. b) Options - Enterprise is one of the big boys - with a well stocked inventory, they were able to get me something that matched all my requirements even if it wasn't my exact original choice. Severely unorganized. Was told I would have car waiting for me, ended up waiting over 40 minutes for a car while the employees scrambled around like the didn't know how to handle more than one customer at a time between all of them. Hugely disappointed in this experience. Was sent by Honda to get a loaner and spent over an hour total of my day. Waste of time. Could have walked home faster. I wish I could give zero stars. RUN, DO NOT WALK FROM THIS BUSINESS!! Made a reservation for a car and when I go to pick it up we do the walk around, sign the papers and I go out in their parking lot to get the Nissan vehicle. It just stunk----overwhelming smell of cigars and/or cigarettes. Go right back in and the manager gives me another car --a Malibu that again smells of smoke and also beer. I take the car as I'm now an hour behind---it had 1/4 tank of gas so I go to the station for gas and wash the inside of beer/soda stains and clean the windows as I couldn't see out the back window it was so dirty. Bought an air freshener and put up at the front window defroster to run for the two days I'm using the car. Never signed any additional paperwork and no inspection by Enterprise. Drop off next day at different location and 3 weeks later I get a letter saying they want my credit card to charge me ~$400 for damage. This car had numerous dings and scratches along with the 30.000 miles---it should have been an embarrassment to rent --certainly nothing like the commercials. Had to fight them for over a month----legally they didn't have a case as I never signed a contract for that car but that didn't stop them. I really think they should have gave me a discount but rather they try to get an additional $400 from me. These people are criminals. read more

I have rented from this place about 6 times now over the past year and a half and they have always been great. The manager, Jim, remembered me on my 2nd visit, even though I had not been there in about a year, and always greets me when I come in. The other employees are always very nice as well and they offer great service. Unfortunately I am moving out of state and won't be able to come here anymore when I need a rental.
