Telluride Cubs Camp…read more I find it extremely interesting that there is nowhere on the internet to leave a review of Telluride Cubs camp specifically. We paid for two days of care at $310/day. One day of childcare in telluride is 2 weeks of child care where we live. When I dropped off the first day, they didn't want to know anything about my child and his needs. They just wanted me to drop him off with zero instruction. I witnessed the director rolling her eyes at another mother giving her the info she felt was necessary for her child. Anyway, when I picked my 15 month old up he was extremely fussy and unmanageable. I was told he ate good and slept good But when we got home, I've never seen him so unhappy and hungry. I got zero information on his day, what he ate, did or if he used the bathroom. Again, for this price, I'd expect a report, similar to what ski school provides. The second day I dropped him off they just flat out would not take him. They had 2 kids that I could tell there and told me they have a strict 9:30 drop off policy (It was 9:50). I'm sorry but for that price, you should take them any time the parent needs. When traveling with kids used to a different time zone, making it to mountains village by 9:30 can be extremely difficult when you're not staying there and focused on getting other kids ready. not to mention, NO WHERE on the internet is this drop off time mentioned. In fact, summer drop off is mentioned to be between 9:00-10:00, in which case we would have been on time. We will NEVER use them again. Save your money and book telluride sitters for half the price!!

Everyone there is always very helpful and knowledgeable about the various trails and places to visit in the area. There's plenty of room in the park for any size coach or fifth wheel and room to park a vehicle in front of site. The sites are well maintained and they are pet friendly as long as you clean up after them. The restrooms are very clean and well maintained too. Jeep rental is always a good experience also. They're well maintained and it's a great way to get up in the high country for amazing views. I will definitely be returning here in the future as it is my favorite place to stay!

My wife had heard that Mild to Wild rafting took great care of their clients. Last year at this time, we were wading up the San Miguel river / stream and fly fishing. Shallow water, tranquil pools and great fishing made it a different weekend. When we booked this, I thought it must be a mistake as this stream did not seem strong enough for rafting and narrow in width. What a difference a year makes. The river was full, fierce with heavy water and good class 3 rapids for the next 1 1/2 hour. Big rocks, fast water, big snags and quick currents were the norm today. One had better stay in the boat, as it would troublesome swimming in 42 degree water. Alyssia, our guide was fabulous and serious about following her instructions. She navigated the rocks, snags and fast water. She maneuvered our boat well. For the next 1 1/2 hours, we had 3-4 foot swells and worked the entire trip. We have rafted many rivers and this was one of our shorter trips but a 5/5 on adventure. For a great adventure, beautiful scenery and a gorgeous day, raft with Mild to Wild. You will have a fun filled and adventurous memory for life.

I have been renting llamas from Bill Redwood for many years. Every summer we rent llamas and go on…read morea week-long trip to various destinations in the Weminuche Wilderness. The llamas are great. We have had no problems with them. They are easy to pack, lead and take care of at camp. I would rather hike than ride a horse, but I would rather not hike carrying a 50 lb. backpack. The llamas are perfect for me. Bill is great to work with. He is always on time to meet you at the trailhead when you are going in and especially when you come out of the wilderness after a long week and are ready for a cold beer.
