Cost of the vehicle also was good, and the location is great. When I left, I noticed about 10 minutes down the road that the gas tank was slightly below full. Strange, but again, not a big deal. On the way back, I got gas just a few minutes away from the building and then returned the vehicle. The staff took quite a while inspecting the vehicle, and came back to tell me the gas tank wasn't full. I had just filled it up and showed him the receipt to prove it. Made me feel like it was a scam where other people would just pay a fee. Anyway, my rental went ok, but it felt like it had the potential to be negative similar to other reviews.

So, I can't review on their cars as I never got that far. But service is a definite no. The more positive reviews are older so maybe the business isn't doing as well as in the past. In addition Practicar's main 800 number leads to one of those scam call centers offering "medical IDs" to people over 55.

The front desk person was very friendly, efficient, and helpful with advice and suggestions when we told him of our plan to drive to Tofino. It was greatly appreciated! The car was a brand new 2025 Prius with low miles. We loved the car. Turning it in was easy, thanks to the detailed instructions we were given by the airport person. If it weren't for the BBB plaque on the wall, I probably would have taxi'd my way around. We rented "their nicest car." It was an early 2000's Buick Century complete with tape deck, scuffs all over, and a rear window that needed extra coaxing to go up. It wasn't a new model car like other places would give you but it did the job. Their lot is so full, they have to park their cars at little spots around Victoria. We were given a ride to a neighborhood to discreetly check our and pick up the car. It was most certainly less than professional. In the end, we had a car that safely got us from point A to point B and that's all that really counts.
