Negative stars for me on here, if it were possible. I got to Hertz after being picked up from the dealership. When I arrived, the blond was the one to first "help" me. First incident: I was sitting scrolling for the payment, I thought I had been charged from Hertz previously. I couldn't find it and had mentioned this to her. I asked if she needed my debit card... She just stared at me. I asked again if she needed a debit card and she replied with "well I need a debit card and your license if you want a rental car". I was SHOCKED. The attitude that came from this girl was extremely uncalled for. Second incident: I was asked to sign the papers, showing my charges. I was told it was supposed to be $120 which she had shown me prior and then next to my signature part it says $160. I asked about the charge that would have been next to my initial. She stares at me and then looks down at the paper and goes "once again like I had mentioned" blah blah blah..... this is when I asked her if she was ok. Her lovely response was "are you ok". I had mentioned that she had an attitude for some reason I couldn't understand why. She didn't have much of a response for that one. Third incident: she has me as a paper showing the Volkswagen Jetta that they were renting out to me, had no damage. I asked to see the keys so I could check the inside as well, which I do for any and all my vehicles for documentation purposes. She refused to give me the keys and said she would unlock it when I got to the car. Well.... I'm sure you can guess what happen when I walked all the way out to the car... she refused to unlock it for me. So I went about recording the outside condition of the car which indeed had at least 3 to 4 different damaged areas. So I recorded it and went back to show her. As I'm showing her the video, she proceeds to ask me what side the damages were on. When I asked her to go outside and mark them off, she refused to do that. She said "you can go do that, Im not going to". I let her know that this was her job and not mine and I'd appreciate it if she went out there and mark the damages that were on the Volkswagen that they were trying to rent me. Again, she refused to do it. Her next response was "do you want a car rental or not". I couldn't take anymore disrespect from this little girl. So I walked outside and got the lady with dark hair that had helped me a week earlier. She was so sweet and accommodating. I asked her if that blond girl had been there well and unfortunately, she had said yes, so I'm thinking this will need to be addressed to corporate now. After reading other reviews it's good to know this girl/kid must have a stick up her a$$ 24/7 and it wasn't just me to experience this unneeded outburst. This needs to be address ASAP and get taken care of or you guys will more then likely go under as a business due to terrible customer service due to one little girl getting a little too mouthy. UPDATE: Apparently this girl is the owner!!! Her dad left her the business to run... very sad ownership if you ask me.

I had a horrible experience renting from this location today. I had a reservation and was refused…read morea car. I have had a valid temporary Canadian Drivers license, valid credit cards in my name, and a valid US passport. I am a us citizen and I have a current California Drivers license as well. Canada asked that I give it to them as I cannot have a second drivers license due to fraud concerns. So I only have a photo of my Cali license. I get that i cannot use a digital copy.... even though I have rented from this location multiple times. I was told that because my Canadian DL did not have a picture it was not Valid. Maybe not for enterprise, but for everyone else it is a Valid form of ID. Especially in conjunction with a passport. Oddly, if I had a temporary DL from California with no photo it would have not been an issue. Not sure why that matters. She said it was about proving I was who I claimed. I was also told I could use a Costco card with my picture, but when I went to produce it. The agent refused to look at it got angry, and told me she would not rent me a car today and I needed to leave. This is as she was waiting on possible approval from her manager. To be clear this felt more about her being on a power trip than anything else. I had not cursed at her, no yelled in any manner. I was trying to remain composed but felt she was giving me the runaround. I had witnessed her doing the same things to others who called in about their reservations. At 2:30 (they close at 5:30) she told some person on the phone that she would NOT rent her a car today. I could tell the customer asked to pick up the car when they opened at 8. She curtly told her again that she would NOT rent them a car at 8. They would have to wait until 9. Then told the customer to feel free to cancel her reservation. It's one thing to say I can't rent you a car because you cannot for valid reason. It absurd to just get on a power trip and tell people that you will NOT rent them a car they have reserved. And to be clear. They had plenty of cars as it was early afternoon, and I was the only one in the place. She could have rented cars had she wanted to. She just seemed to bothered. I will add she appeared to try to call a manager. But whether she gave her manager the complete story is unknown. I checked the enterprise website and it appears I did have the proper documents. Here is the policy pulled directly from enterprise website. In some US and Canadian locations, customers not holding a US/Canadian driver's license may be asked to provide additional, valid government-issued documentation. Examples of this may include a valid passport. Customers with a driver's license from Mexico may be required to present a valid voter registration card from Mexico. In addition, inbound and outbound travel documentation may be required. Temporary driver's licenses may be refused if the renting location is unable to otherwise verify the customer's identity or verify the authenticity of the temporary license. Additional government-issued identification may be required. I provided a US passport issued by the United States. I have heard the US passport does not carry as much weight as it used to, but I never expected it to be refused inside the US.

I had a terrible experience at this Avis- avoid it at all costs! We got there at 3 pm (business…read morehours are until 5 pm) and it was closed. Already off to a bad start. There was a note on the door to call customer service, no other details. I called customer service, a rep answered, & then I was on hold for more than 30 minutes and the person never came back on the line. All the while, we're just sitting in the lobby trying to do anything, like cancel our reservation or get another rental. Finally, 45 minutes after we get there, the lady strolls in and barely says a word, asking for my last name. After pressing her about why there was a wait, we went back and forth for 20 minutes where she tells me she didn't have a car available for us, then when one was returned, she left DURING business hours to go have it cleaned and washed. My issue with this: Susie the rep chose not to leave us a voicemail so we had no idea what was going for the almost hour we were waiting in the hotel lobby. The note also left no phone# to contact other than customer service, which was useless. Susie implied that the situation was our fault because she called and no one answered, which I absolutely did not appreciate, and barely apologized for the mess, nor did she offer any kind of discount or reparation for the massive inconvenience. If we hadn't wasted so much time there & weren't exhausted after traveling, I would have gone any place else and not wasted my money here. To say I'm disappointed is a massive understatement- bad experience and bad customer service!

The information center displayed a warning, "PUSH BUTTON START MALFUNCTION"! We contacted Budget/Avis customer service. When we explained the issue with the service rep, we were told Budget/Avis didn't have a rental office close by. We were instructed to drive car until it failed. At that time we could call and they would send tow truck. When asked about what help we would receive, we were told they no provisions for that situation, we were on our own! The only other offer was to drive car back to Tulsa, ending our trip before we meet our great-grandson. I'm a Veteran on Disability and my wife suffers from Huntington's Disease. We saved for 9 months, from the moment we heard we got the wonderful news. We had no other option but to drive failing car. the first time we got to meet our great-grandson, we left car running, as it was hard to start. This is how our nightmare went, one of us sitting in car, letting it run. Though the car did not leave us stranded, because of our anguish of being stranded, we returned the Defective Car a day early and went home. We're heartbroken that the most wonderful trip of our life was taken from us from a company, Budget/Avis, that doesn't have any customer safeguards. But I must add that they did refund $50, thanks for that. In summary, I'd like to point out, Budget/Avis has a better Tow Service than Customer Service!

Not only did Budget have some inventory, Steven ensured I had an excellent car and a very competitive price. I rate this Budget location as well as Steven as a 5-star experience. I will be returning for another vehicle today!.

Unfortunately, the location where we rented the car wasn't open, so we continued north to SLO and stopped into the Enterprise location at the airport. Within a few minutes, the manager, Casey, was on it. Casey hopped in the car and took us to the on-site service area and fixed the issue immediately (one tire was over-inflated; one tire was under-inflated). And the LA location did a so-so job of cleaning the car, so Casey gave it a once over and make the car shine. Casey went above and beyond and made our Enterprise experience better. Even though we didn't rent a car from this location we imagine that, with Casey behind the wheel (so to speak), this branch is a great spot for a rental.

Do not rent with this location. I returned my vehicle on time and was told to leave my keys in the…read morecar by an attendant. He was gone by the time I parked, so I followed directions. I never received an emailed receipt, and thankfully I checked the final charge because I was over-billed by almost $300. When I called, I was told they didn't record the return until 3 days later. I was also told nothing could be done until it got "management approval", and I should expect a call in 24 hrs. Nobody ever called me back, so I had to waste more time to advocate to get the charge corrected. Horrible business model if errors cannot be easily corrected, and if they can't record cars being returned on the right day. Stay away and book with another company!

He was very nice but did not explain much of except for the original price that I paid for online. Once the vehicle was returned, my once total of $198 became $293 and some change. No explanation whatsoever on what the fees were from. I returned it at said time at the right date and location. Also, I received the car with half a tank in which I took a photo with a time stamp of the gas gauge. I immediately called Avis to inform them that the tank was not full upon pick up and needs to be noted or I be reimbursed if needed. The man made a note and I was told to return it half a tank as well. I returned it with a little over half a tank! I emailed asking for an explanation of the charges and I received no help or reply. Never have I ever had these extra charges from any other company even at different airport locations. I have used budget and enterprise and they were always upfront about their prices and charges even when booked from a third party website. First time and last time using Avis.

When we reached our destination, we saw that there was a bump in the well of the tire, which could result in the tire exploding on the road. We called budget and they sent out a tow truck and put the spare on the car, and then we had to drive it to the SLO budget at the airport to exchange it. We got a new car and drove back to the hotel. The next day we saw that none of the tires on the cars had air caps. We also did not drive off-road or hit any speed bumps, but a piece of plastic was dragging on the bottom of the car. We also exchange that car at SLO. Days after this terrible experience I see they've charged me an extra $150 for insurance I did not approve, and a fuel fee because we did not return the malfunctioning cars with a full gas tank. We were more concerned with getting off of the road in these dangerous cars and returning them to the office. I called customer service and they most they would offer me is a 15% discount on the fuel fee and a 50% on the insurance I did not improve. I really think I should get 100% back because the reason we returned the car early without a full fuel tank is because it was dangerous to drive and we wanted to spend as little time on the road with it as possible. Additionally, I did not approve the insurance so I don't know why I need to pay any of it. I cannot recommend anyone use budget.

I called and was unable to reach a human and had to stop calling because my plane was taking off. 2 weeks later I still can reach a responsive human. I've been transferred from person to person to person all completely useless. Never ever rent from this company even if there your last choice. Its incomprehensible they have no one to incharge. Enjoy my cash and credit cards because I'll never rent from you again. I repeat do not rent a vehicle from these thief's.
