Not sure how to really rate this place. Worst of times can't really get a 5 star rating can it?…read more Honesty they did a fine job handling everything. Ok, so Daddy died and Evergreen Washelli handled all our needs surrounding the event. We were lucky to have a few days notice to handle everything from pick up to service to burial.. So when he passed onto the other side during the night we made a single call at 4am and they picked him up for his final ride by 5am.... Very smooth transition in worst of times. We then made our second call the next day and we went out to cemetery to finish our business... Several weeks later on a crisp sunny winter day we placed him into the earth. We kept it simple and we appreciated they allowed us to keep it simple without pressure... Now note things can get expensive at this place... They do take Visa, Mastercard & AMEX and openly display the machine that takes your money inside grief room which is kinda disgusting to view while your discussing your love ones demise. They could be a tad more discreet about it in my opinion.. I would like to send a huge thank you to HOLLY our go to person for all things death... She did an exceptional job well and things worked fairly seamless. I'm giving you 5 stars cause you were all business and professional. THANK FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE!

Wanted to put artificial flowers for my parents in the mausoleum, called ahead of time to see where…read moreI can get the little vase to them in, was told they would have them at the front office. As I arrived to the cemetery office, wanted to get one before I drove to the mausoleum, the front office didn't have any available . So much "red tape" for her to contact someone just for a vase , the receptionist said she would find a groundskeeper meet me there and supply me with one. Waiting at least 10 mins, I looked around and found one on the ground and used that one, and put it on the headstone and I accomplished what I needed to do. Groundskeeper came to me, and said he didn't have one with him, had to go back to the office! Didn't cost me anything for the plastic vase, hate disorganization!

I wouldn't recommend Holyrood Cemetery to anyone. At every step of the burial process there has…read morebeen some level of confusion, disorganization, or plain stupidity from the administration. Dad has been in an unmarked grave for over a month and a half. Not even a temporary placard while the headstone is shipped in. Mike Betts wants us to think it's the funeral home that's responsible for placing a temporary placard, which isn't true. The headstone was made in advance, it's been sitting in a warehouse since the 1980s. Mike Betts can't remember our recent meeting when he ordered the delivery, and has no shipping data at all. We got a check in the mail because we were overcharged on their services. The check was written payable to my Dad. Wouldn't the cemetery know he is dead and he can't cash checks??? Now it's another errand to fix their latest screw up. As a grieving family, we thought Holyrood cemetery was going to handle Dad's burial arrangements with grace and precision. We are disappointed. We had to call again to ask about the headstone delivery and the gentleman who answered the phone was so confused about their record keeping system, and he asked how to spell my Dad's name three times! Write it down once and remember!
