CDs are organized by genre etc. Staff is friendly and even asked if I needed help finding anything last visit and the team member was able to help me find my CD in less than 10 seconds! All CDs I have bought here look practically brand new with no scratches all at a good price which is awesome. Love the location with a free parking lot, close to the bus lines, and right next to Dick's Burgers. I like to stop here after grabbing some food from Dick's and sipping on my chocolate shake while I sift through everything. I recommend and I will definitely return!

Comply with the store requirement to wear masks while onsite. Street parking can be a challenge, especially with the nearby Climate Change Arena. If you like to truly browse, give yourself a minimum of an hour. Just make sure to pay attention as parking enforcement is out and about. Royal Records have an decent collection of 45/33.3 vinyl, cassettes, CDs, VHS, laser discs, and DVDs. Nice bright shop, welcoming staff and well organized. There are new and used/discounted merch. Looks like you can also sell and trade items onsite. It was duly noted that CDs are not displayed title side up. Quirky observation as I thumbed through cases A through Z. The Homie and I both found an eclectic collection of items. It is a nice addition to the indie music and film retail scene in Seattle. Nice diversion while in Seattle's Queen Anne neighborhood!

I had revisited Chocolat Vitale after a long hiatus. I finally had the opportunity to explore the eclectic vinyl collection from Stumbletown Records (12/2/23 and 12/24/23). I ended up buying vinyl for me and The Homie ranging from Frank Sinatra, Japanese soundtrack import, Ravi Shankar, Ten Commandments movie soundtrack, and Russian orchestra/composers. I enjoyed seeing the film reels, 45s, cassettes, foreign film posters also available for purchase. This is one of those indie record shops where one it elicits the excitement of a potential treasure trove. Detour and take the time to check out, not one but two, indie retailers.

I did trade some things in and always felt like I got far less than what I should have, but didn't say anything because I needed the stuff gone and figured it was an opportunity to get the things I wanted for less. If you are looking for a vinyl store, I don't know if I'd recommend this place. But if you want an NES or something of that caliber, they are pretty good for that.
