The positive energy from the group that filled the room and her insightful instruction is exactly why I like to include studio yoga into my practice. I thought I had found my new "yoga home." And then I came to Angela's class, which is why I urge you to stay away. Angela is the worst yogi, and quite possibly even a horrible person...and she owns this place. First, she didn't like my mat, or where I placed my mat, or which side of the mat I was using and proceeded to try to sell me a mat. Uhhh... Then, as I came into my first down dog she snaps at me to stop moving, so I froze. Then she proceeded to come and touch me on every pose! She didn't know me! She didn't ask me! She didn't know my body! To her credit, she may have assumed that I wanted to get really deep into each pose because it is obvious that I have practiced before, but after hiking that day I was a little sore/tired, and wanted to take it easy. I listen to my body and don't force poses. The penultimate straw was when, on my third down dog, she came and drove my heels into the mat! Drove.my.heels.into.the.mat. I flipped over and asked her to stop, and that her touch felt critical...she said "fine" and marched around the room loudly saying how she is showing us how to do things correctly and how important it is for her to touch, blah, blah. It felt so hostile! So hostile, in fact, that I rolled up my mat and left...after only 8 minutes. If you look at the website, she violated all of her own tenets. I'd like to say my story is unique, but I felt compelled to write this review after swapping Angela horror stories at the Thirsty Woman with some folks I had just met. So join Root Down at your own risk, and/or only take classes from Victoria and Jen. Namaste.

It's such a friendly atmosphere, the staff are very kind and welcoming and pretty much anyone is happy to chat. Everyone is working on their projects and the atmosphere is very chill. There's lots of very easy and accessible climbs, anyone who can climb a ladder will find something here. Most of the climbs are VB-V7 and there's a few higher than that. Every week there's new routes and they're all super fun. Prices are very reasonable and accessible considering its downtown location and size. Highly recommend for both climbers and climbing-curious people!

The…read moreyoga classes are wonderful, challenging, accommodating, and warm...... literally warm and emotionally warm. In addition to the yoga the sound bath experiences are very centering. I can't wait to see what else these ladies create. It took me a bit to get past the fact that the classes are in an old church but it is now a beautiful performing arts center and there is no religious pressure or vibe from the yoga instructors.

A special deal of "10-days for 10$" and so I signed that up and took a few classes. I got to experience Hatha with Kristi and Vinyasa 1/2 w/ Christina. Both excellent teachers and the studio is beautiful, clean, well managed, and the vibes are so relaxing and open. I attempted another class but it was full, but it's all good! Simply Yoga is worth checking out, had good price points and is remodeling their large studio to be and beyond! Go check this place out and get your Yoga ON!

I have not taken formal classes in many years, but have been doing yoga somewhat regularly virtually to Beth Shaw YogaFit, and I was able to fit right in with the class. There were 4 other people in the Hatha class with Kari and I loved the small class size. Kari was great. Having a "real, live" instructor really helps you to focus / relax much better than watching a video, and she really kept her eye on us and gently corrected our forms which was very positive for me. I had to email them because I had an issue with my account that was my own fault and they replied very quickly and wanted to make sure nothing got in the way of my returning before the kink got solved. I can't wait for the next class!
