When I went, there was no line up. I had an appointment and I waited 2 minutes (because the lady had to finish threading a client). Service: 2.5/5 There was as little service as humanly possible. When I walked in, the receptionist was on the phone and she told me to fill out a clipboard with my info. She didn't exactly tell me, she gave me a clipboard. After this, I was told to change from my shoes to their slippers. Note: these slippers didn't look clean. It looked like it hasn't been cleaned for days. It felt kind of nasty wearing their slippers. While being threaded, the lady went through the whole area but it felt rushed. After the redness went away and I waited two days, I noticed hair that wasn't threaded off. I wish they were more thorough. On the plus side, the receptionist and threading lady weren't deliberately rude but felt very distant. You know how some people make you feel warm and welcomed. Well I didn't feel welcomed there. Threading job: 2.5/5 It felt like she took a lot of hair off my upper lip but she missed some. The amount of hair she missed were not an area but here and there. So I felt like the threading job a bit sloppy. Cleanliness: 1/5 When I walked into the place, I smelled BO (but I do have a good sense of smell). When the lady started threading me, she didn't sanitize her hands. Also, before she started threading me, another lady handed her money. So imagine for a second-the germs in money, threading lady touches money, she doesn't clean her hands after and she starts threading you. Just think how unsanitary that is. The reason I didn't give cleanliness 0/5 is because the place looked clean (i.e. no clutter). That's why I give them 1/5. Prices: Very reasonable. Please see pic for prices. I moved to Toronto from Montreal about a year and a half ago and was looking for a new place to get electrolysis done. I tried a few different places in Toronto and wasn't really satisfied with any of them. I found out about this place by buying a Groupon, and I've been a regular ever since. I find that the electrolysis prices are reasonable (a little bit more expensive than in Montreal, but cheaper than most other places who do electrolysis in Toronto), the location is super convenient for me (20 minutes away from my work and close to a TTC station), staff is friendly, and the clinic is very easy to reach to make, reschedule or cancel an appointment (whether through email or phone). Also, the two technicians who work there are REALLY good at electrolysis - both Anna and Isabelle are good at removing all hairs on a surface, and I saw a strong, noticeable difference in the amount of hair in the surfaces I do electrolysis there. Also, they both really know how to do electrolysis PROPERLY - they first kill the hair with electricity, then they pluck the hair with a tweeze, so the dead hair just naturally "slides" out of your skin - for some of the other places I tried for electrolysis in Montreal and Toronto, I could tell that the person was not doing the proper electrolysis technique (i.e. the hair was not "killed" when they were tweezing it out... which is really annoying because it basically means that you pay for nothing) I also had a few "cherry spots" (red freckles) removed there, and had positive results too. The place doesn't look fancy or isn't in a cool building, but that's fine with me - I'd rather pay a reasonable price here than go somewhere that looks fancier and pay extra for that.
