I would not recommend. I followed their instructions and made an appointment over a week ago and took time off work to meet with them, but nobody showed or even called. We even called to get an update and only got a voicemail with no call back. Alex and his crew transformed our front, back and side yards this past spring. After reading other reviews and meeting with him (and four other contractors) we chose HF Gardening to help us renovate our green spaces. Alex spent the most time reviewing our vision, giving us helpful ideas and consulting with my husband during the initial meeting versus the other competing vendors. He was knowledgeable about what native plants we could utilize to liven up our space, and what would survive and thrive in which sun spots. He understood our inspiration and worked with the style of our home to create a Mediterranean-inspired haven for our family. After agreeing to his bid, which was the best price (bonus!) we scheduled the work days and the crew was friendly, super hard working and left everything incredibly clean at the end of each day. Alex guided us through the process, explaining what would be done and in what order; when we added work items, he was gracious and patient with our additions. The pictures below show before and after, but they don't capture just how much our family is now enjoying our gorgeous new outdoor space. We love to spend time together in the backyard, and constantly marvel at HF Gardening's lasting craftsmanship and hard work that transformed our back and front yards. In the spring, my property had heavy weeds front, back and side yard. Alex and the team cleared them all, trimmed my shrubs and small trees expertly, then laid a weed pre emergent and covered all with a thick layer of bark. They evened it out perfectly. Then they sanded the deck, replaced a sagging board and sealed the deck.. It looks new! He removed a large woody rosemary shrub and suggested adding boulders to the new bare spot. I hired them to put in two new valves, replace two existing valves, put in two drip systems, replace all my sprinkler heads, and replace my sprinkler controller. Alex and his team recently finished revamping my front, side and back yards by removing old plants and mulch, redoing my drip irrigation, adding new plants, mulch and pea gravel, adding extra lighting, installing a side fence and also laying down a beautiful flagstone patio area. Extensive yard cleanup including dead heading +100 feet of ~15 foot tall oleander hedge, removing ~20 feet of box hedge, 4 large lawn grass areas, removing dead plants from 14 large raised beds and hauling away all the debris. Alex agreed to come to my home 45 minutes from his usual service area to discuss the job and to provide an estimate. He arrived promptly and we walked around my yard going over all the areas that required clean up. He provided a verbal estimate and we agreed to the job for a few weeks out. Alex and his team called me when he was on his way to my home the morning of our appointment. He arrived on time with his crew of five men. We walked through the areas again briefly and then they got started. The team completed the job in 4.5 hours and they really exceeded my expectations. We were so pleased. Our back yard needed weeding, leveling the soil, trimming shrubs, weed prevention and mulch. They worked hard laying 3" of bark mulch and some DG in the sideyard.
