They were quick with responses. I got a free quote with them. They used the weed wacker on my overgrown weeds and sprayed the area. Our weeds were tall and they accidentally damaged some of our irrigation tubes but they quickly sent someone out to fix the areas. There were some issues with scheduling (not showing up on time) but they quickly responded when I messaged them and rescheduled promptly. read more

Long overdue 2023-Carlos came to house to get an idea of what landscaping I was wanting. He clearly saw my desert scape front yard with drip irrigation system. He said to buy plants at Green Acres because of their year guarantee. I normally get plants there! I paid for extra soil (too much delivered) I bought seven plants 3 Yuccas, 2 lavender, 2 sun drops. $178.25 total The empty spaces for the red yuccas Had stoppers on the line and he didn't add any emitters! So the plants died. The giant yucca (5Gal) Was planted low in the ground (not crowned) and in their soil which was not conducive for good drainage. They took all my plants containers with them after they were done, so how was I supposed to return dying plants to the nursery?? I paid Carlos extra to make sure my Rain Dial controller was set to come on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 30 minutes @5:30am + @7:30 It had been coming on Tuesday and Thursday that was the problem. Well...that continued so I had another landscaper take a look and It was not set on the PRESENT Day but a DAY ahead. Wasted time and money! My rocks did get delivered Three weeks late. The business may be great for mowing, edging etc. I don't recommend Barriga to landscape with PLANTING plants! read more

Broken promises, poor communication, flaky, and ghosting the customer. Carlos came out on Tuesday to take a look at our yard, was told 24-48 hrs for a quote. 3 days go by without an update. I check in politely, am told next day I'll get a quote. Another 2 days go by without a quote. I check in again and no response. It's now the following Tuesday and we still don't have a quote nor any updates. If the job is too small or not what you want, then have a minimum fee and communicate that. Don't make promises you can't keep. Just say it'll take 2 weeks for a quote if that's the reality. Communicate with your customers. Ghosting is incredibly unprofessional. Customer shouldn't have to probe for an update on timelines you created and missed. read more

The Barriga guys arrived promptly in the morning and immediately started to work. My backyard was a total disaster with weeds everywhere. Even coming out of the artificial grass! The raised flower bed had never been planted before and was also full of weeds. They pulled them all out, amended the soil, added a weed deterrent, weed block material and then fresh top soil. They planted the appropriate plants, hooked up the drip system and then topped it off with some shredded bark. They raked out the weeds from the grassy area, removed all dust, webs etc. They finished off by spraying a weed killer around the edges of the grass. They blow all residue out to the front where they picked it up to haul away. They trimmed my rosemary bushes in the front and blew out all the dust, webs, leaves etc from there also. Prior to them leaving they washed down the driveway and out in the street where they had had the soil and bark dumped. Before leaving they gave me pointers for keeping everything in tip top shape. My husband and I contacted this company for an estimate on a backyard project and to potentially establish a biweekly maintenance service. Miguel initially responded and was quick, courteous, and professional, which gave us a very positive first impression. Miguel informed us that Carlos would come by to provide an estimate. When Carlos arrived, he was friendly and appeared knowledgeable about the work that needed to be done. He mentioned he would send over a quote shortly. However, it took several days longer than expected before we finally received the estimate. We responded politely, thanking him for his time and explaining that we were hoping to stay under a reasonable budget due to initial quote being too high. Carlos then told us they were willing to work with us to stay within that range and said he would follow up the next morning with an updated plan. Unfortunately, that follow-up never came. Our subsequent call and text were completely ignored. What makes this experience particularly frustrating is that Carlos was the one who suggested they could work within our budget, only to then disappear without any communication. A simple message saying the project wasn't feasible at that price would have been far more professional than leaving potential customers waiting. We had genuinely hoped to move forward with this company, especially since our backyard is large and we have several future landscaping projects planned. I needed a one time lawn clean up service and had an amazing experience with Barriga Landscaping! They were able to come out a few days after giving me a quote. Miguel and Carlos were awesome! Carlos subdivided my quote for the various yard projects I wanted completed, so that I could decide how much of it I could afford. Their price was very reasonable, and I accepted the entire quote. They cleared my front lawns of all weeds and prepped and laid sod, which looks amazing. They cleared rocks out of flower beds, sprayed for weeds and laid new weed barrier before replacing the rock and adding rock as needed. They refreshed a small hillside similarly, which looks amazing! They also installed a set of handrails along the front concrete steps, which I had purchased separately. They added a small wooden retaining wall to create a stable pathway around my AC unit. On the week they were here, I showed Miguel my back yard where vinca was invading so badly, and he gave me a very fair quote on the spot to have it all pulled out by hand, sprayed for weeds, weed barrier laid down, and fresh bark added for the whole area, including the adjacent running flower bed along the side of my house. It looks so great! Miguel was so accommodating to my added request and even made small suggestions to improve a few things and only charged extra for minor materials. They're still working on troubleshooting an irrigation leak that is occurring, but I KNOW these guys are working hard to get it fixed. They are hard-working, honest, respectful, communicative, and want to make their customers happy. I know they are quite busy (their great customer reviews and word-of-mouth recommendations spur a LOT of business) and sometimes have challenges meeting deadlines, like all businesses do. (Just think about the last time you went to the doctor's office .) But they work their butts off to get the job done and get it done right. FLAKE ALERT! HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. Requested an estimate for front yard bush trimming, tree trimming, weed cleanup/spray, and mulch refresh. Estimator came by at 1:30pm on 5/19/26. I was told the estimate would be within 24 hours (by 2pm on 5/20/26) and that they're scheduling 2 weeks out. Never got the estimate after 24 hours, so I texted Carlos. Carlos replied, "...I should have that by tomorrow first thing in the morning." It's now 6:22pm on 5/21/26. I've already received other bids and it is a $1,750-$1,900 job. Barriga Landscaping must not need the immediate cash business from new customers in this tightening economy. This is a case study in how to lose new and repeat(!) business, erode your revenue, and waste customers' time. read more

We were referred to Miguel at Barriga for a quote for fence repair in our yard. Our fence posts were failing only after a few years ( Lennar sucks ), so we needed several replacements. We also needed our new pergola bolted down after we had installed it on our own. The quote wax reasonable and we accepted. It took a few weeks after to get a date, with a few rescheduled times.
