I wish I were closer to try things out in person, but regardless I highly recommend calling them and talking through things - they'll not only help you choose the right gear, but also discuss unlisted specials or ways to save. I didn't actually read other Yelp reviews but doing so now it seems some have concerns about stock - all the more reason to just call them and talk! I haven't returned anything so can't comment on the restocking fee, but I think it makes sense as they'd have to sell it as open box and if you're looking for the best price, they have to manage costs (so they don't offer free returns / free restocking). For that, check out Amazon or Best Buy, but you won't get nearly as great of service or value imo. read more

Buyer Beware!! I recently contacted Hi-Fi Heaven to purchase an open box amp listed on their website. I spoke to salesperson "Greg" who was happy to confirm how I could purchase the item through Zelle for a discount, but he never thought it relevant to tell me they didn't actually have the open box item in stock. After I paid online, he indicated the payment was received and that he'd be sending me a tracking #. When the tracking # never arrived days later, I called the store and spoke to a different salesperson who was surprised to hear the order was even taken in the first place, as they said they didn't actually have the open box amp they just sold me. I was told several more "open box" amps would be shipped soon by the manufacturer if I wanted to wait. All the while, the same amp was still listed for sale on their website. There are obviously a few things fishy in Hi-Fi Heaven! For one, "open box" usually implies it's a customer return, not a used item coming from the manufacture. Are they actually selling 'open box' returns from their customers or actually "reconditioned" units they receive from the manufacture? Second, it's just not good business to take a customer's money when knowing full well they don't actually have the item they are selling. Reputable companies don't do this. The one thing I will give them credit for, which is why this isn't a 1 star review, is that when I asked them for my money back they did refund me without trouble or delay. I should've noticed they don't actually indicate whether anything they list for sale on their website is in stock or not. They will happily take your money either way and apparently this common practice with these guys based on other reviews. Great way to treat your customers guys! read more

I ordered HD800s dust protectors, earpads and headband from the site. Then they removed the dust protectors from my order and shipped out the rest and marked it as complete. I had to personally contact them asking about where the last item from my order is. The response was that the dust protectors aren't in stock and there's no eta for when they will be. Normally that wouldn't be an issue but the dust protectors were the main reason I even ordered from them. I could've ordered the replacement earpads elsewhere for cheaper and the only reason I threw in the replacement headband was to meet the minimum for free shipping. Now I'm left with a part I overpaid for and a part I don't need, and I'm left STILL missing the part that I actually need. I can't say anything about their store, but avoid buying from their site. I wouldn't trust what they have listed as actually being in stock. Seems to be a common issue among other reviews as well. read more

I am by no means an audiophile but I wanted to complement the folks at Hi-Fi Heaven who filled my order for a Technics SC-C70MK2 OTTAVA f Premium All-In-One Music System which was sold out in other online retailers. The other retailers waited until close to the estimated ship date to suddenly move the processing date by two months without explanation and if you called you got generic ambiguous explanations. Hi-Fi was easy with communications. I could call and chat with a knowledgeable person who could give me an order status that was realistic. My charge was immediately marked on my bill but didn't actually issue until the item was delivered. Honestly, it felt like I was back in the 80's and 90's and dealing with real humans who cared about their business. You may need to contact them by phone for updates but they are honest and helpful the whole way. It was a refreshingly human experience. Highly recommended. Everything arrived as promised. read more

I found an open box turntable on their website. I called to verify it was still available and he said it was sold. He offered me a new turntable of the same make and model for a discount. He sent me a Paypal invoice which I paid promptly. I like the fact that they use Paypal because it protects the buyer. The turntable was shipped the next day via UPS ground. Since there was no signature required, I tracked the shipment right down to when the UPS truck was within several blocks. The turntable was brand new in a sealed box. I was a little skeptical at first being the 1st transaction I've had with Hi Fi Heaven but this experience has been great. I'll use them again for future audiophile purchases. read more

I had a super help experience making a purchase through trade-in with Hifiheaven! I would advise anyone purchasing(if its a expensive item) to email them first and communicate that way, they are really prompt and helpful through email. I traded in two personal headphones for a new Susvaras. Did payment through phone and opted to get delivery for my Susvaras first to test out. I purchased a NAD M28 Power amplifier from this company and received it 3/4. I was in the midst of putting together my home theater, so I did not install the amp when I got it. I then had to attend a yearly job meeting in New Orleans for 7 days. On 3/22 I attempted to install the amp. It was incompatible with my JBL Synthesis receiver. On the weekend of 3/26 I sent a return request to the CS explaining the situation. Their reply was "you are out of your 14 days" (a ridiculously small trial time). I needed a cover for my beautiful VPI Scout turntable. Well, it arrived, and not only was IT NOT PACKAGED WELL (avoid these clowns) but it of course was damaged. I pull the thing halfway out of the box and I can already see it was cracked - almost corner to corner. I upload the photos on the website expecting a prompt response, but what I got was a nasty "I can't see anything on that, and please document the damage to the box that corresponds to the damage you are showing" So I fully unpack, upload even more photos, NO RESPONSE. If I could give them a zero star review I would. On September 14, 2022 I ordered a receiver that was allegedly in stock. When I completed the order, their website stated it would arrive in 5 to 6 days. On September 21, 2022 I called to inquire why I hadn't received my order or even a tracking number. I was told they didn't have any in stock but they were on the way, and it would be sent to me on September 23, 2022. Well, it's September 23, 2022, and I just received an email stating that they don't have any in stock to send. I cancelled my order. So BE WARNED they are selling stuff they don't have in stock, didn't contact me to inform me that they didn't have it in stock immediately upon placing my order, lied about when they would get it in stock, and lied about when they would be able to ship it. Horrible customer service. There are other retailers who sell the same items, such as Crutchfield. I wish I would have placed my order with them or another competitor. I was tempted to purchase an item through a sale they had going on but didn't notice the 20% restocking fee if the item needed to be returned. Turns out, the pre-amp didn't work well with my system and so I chose to return it and had to pay that 20% as well as the shipping back cost, which seems insane since it barely left the box before being placed back inside to be shipped back to them. read more

I asked for an exchange and was told tough luck, contact the company and figure out the warranty myself. I ordered an open box/demo amplifier online. I was contacted either the same or the next day and learned that it had already been sold. However, they DID take care of me by offering a brand new unit with warranty at a very fair price as compensation (on a brand that usually doesn't discount). When they made the offer, they also let me know that the units were back ordered from the factory with an anticipated delivery date of 2 weeks. All of the other online and brick-and-mortar stores were experiencing similar delays in shipment, so I felt confident I was getting the straight story. I was free to cancel the order at any time. This store kept me updated on the status and the amplifier was sitting on my doorstop as promised. I really don't feel it was a bait-and-switch, just the nature of inventory flow. I bought a very expensive turn table from this place and it came with some very fine scratches on it. I called the place and was told I would get a call back. A week went by so I looked at the return policy which happened to be very short forcing me to dispute the charges on my credit card just to be safe. Long story short. The owner got his hands out of the situation by putting the situation in their suppliers hands. The guy also told me that scratches are normal on these units which was bizarre considering I bought new. The BBB gives this business terrible reviews/grade as well. I then received an email the following day from them saying that it was a mistake and that item was discontinued and out of stock, along with a link for another one in black for just 8% more. I clicked on the link and it was $1149, $254 more and more than double the 8%. I then ran across a same new grey turntable listing on Amazon; it was a listing from Hifi Heaven, and listed for $999 for the same grey model with 17 in stock.
