Haven't heard about this place before. I was with my family on the Target close to HiPoke, and I came across this restaurant when I opened Maps. Even though it was really cute inside, I opted to eat at one of their outside tables on the sidewalk because the weather was so lovely today. Parking is plentiful since it's in the Park Place shopping center. I ordered the tofu poke bowl, and all the ingredients were super tasty. I have to give a shout out to the sweet chili sauce because that's what really tied it all together. The portion size was perfect; I left full but not so stuffed as to feel lethargic. I've been to multiple poke places in the triangle and this has to be the best one yet. The prices are perfect and poke is fresh. The portions are also huge and fulfilling. I've been here 2-3 times and the ingredients are always consistent, this is a plus for poke. I prefer creating my bowl over going with the special poke bowls. I like my poke in a certain way so this is always the best option for me. I usually go with the spicy tuna as my protein. The customer service is fantastic here as well. I love their positive energy. The lines can get long during lunch so I recommend coming here before 12:00 p.m. There are plenty of seats. I am a fan of the natural sunlight as well! Of the Poke Bowl places in the area, this one is my favorite, hands down. The portion size is very generous when ordering a build-your-own bowl, the quality of the fish is pretty good, which makes the bang-for-your-buck very much worth it. I've been here twice now, and have tried the salmon, tuna, spicy tuna, and octopus. I enjoyed all of them, and I think my favorite are the salmon and octopus. The poke sauce is tasty but not overpowering, and they have pretty good toppings, including tamago and pickled daikon. My go-to build-you-own bowl would be salmon, tuna, and octopus with poke sauce, cucumbers, edamame, masago, pickled daikon, seaweed salad, tamago, and furikake. You can mix and match whatever else appeals to you, but word of advice: simple is better. If you put too much stuff that in that don't go well together, it ends up tasting not-so-great. I like that they let you do half-rice and half-salad as well. The staff has always been friendly, helpful, and informative. If you're not sure about the sauces, they will give you a sample. I also tried the mango fruit tea, and enjoyed the flavor and jellies they add. I will probably ask for a little less sweet next time, but it was great. The space is clean and well-kept. It's a small space, but I've never had an issue finding seating - it seems like a decent number of people take their meals to go. Great poke spot in the area - I'll definitely be back for more! read more

Impressive. Hi Poke is a good choice in a neighborhood replete with food options. One of my Yelp friends calls Poke "lazy sushi". I hadn't thought of it that way, but he's not wrong. It's okay though, because it's still good. If it meets that standard, call it whatever you want. With a choice of pre-made bowls or a pick your own, Hi Poke, despite being opened so recently, has the process down. The food was fresh, the people friendly and seem genuinely interested in making sure all customers enjoy the food. I agree with Nancy T, in that the size is smaller than similar places, but it's deceptive. There's still a lot of food in one of these bowls. The food is fresh and the pieces are bite-sized. On my first visit, I ordered two proteins instead of three but without a reduction in the rice. That might have contributed to the disparity in the rice/protein mix of what I had, but with the mix-ins, it still ended up being plenty. I'll come by again because there are many more choices and I think I'm creating a mission for myself to try it all. read more

We stopped by for lunch. I do love the poke and this place did not disappoint. All the fresh ingredients we poke lovers have come to expect. The workers were super friendly and helpful. If you haven't tried poke this is a great place to start. My only complaint would be that the price is a few dollars higher than I would expect for the size bowl we received. If you like HOT then try their sirracha sauce. My mouth was burning for quite a while after eating it. It was great !! They have quite an assortment of sauces. We will probably be back. Just tried their Spicy Tuna Bowl as is, from the menu. Loved it. Thought the pineapple and corn would be odd, but it was a great combination. Their sauces are amazing. The tuna was very fresh. Smooth creamy spicy mayo that was just the right amount of spicy. Not overdone, so I could still taste the flavors of everything else. Their prices are reasonable as well. Next time I'll do some add ins as well. I also ordered from them during the Quarantine of 2020, which was my first time. They didn't have an item I ordered, and the owner/manager was very kind to call me to explain and adjust my bill. He also ran my order out to the car for me & was very nice. I honestly forget to go there, as its right next to the Food Lion. Will have to try harder. The inside is currently a bit of a mess with their homemade Covid safety precautions, but at least they are trying & care to protect their staff & food. Bonus points for that. read more

I really wanted to love Hi Poke but it wasn't the best poke I've had in the area. I got the Hi Poke Classic Bowl because I always like trying out the classic bowls first before going for anything flashy. This bowl had rice, Ahi tuna, Hi Poke Sauce, Cucumber Salad, Masago, Ginger, Sesame Seeds, and Green Onion. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy this bowl because it was so strangely sweet. I suspect it was because of the sauce but that ruined the whole experience for me. But I might go back to try a bowl with a different sauce! Quite a riparian (Matt G - how long did you wait to fit that word into a conversation?) feel dining here. From time to time, I debate within myself whether Hi Poke is worthy of five stars. I have come to the conclusion that it is not. I have dined more than 15 times by now and one of the new girls behind the counter is too clueless. I tell her salmon, she gives me tuna. I tell her mango, she gives me pineapple. Did not put any sauce on the rice. Last time she gave me ginger when I asked for radish, which I didn't realize until I had paid. Her employer needs to update her insurance plan so she can have her vision checked at the eye doctor. Although above experience makes my patience erupt like a Hawaii volcano, it's still a four star poke experience. The ingredients always taste fresh, apart from the scallops, which lacked texture. The sauces are all quite good, which is what makes a poke bowl sink or float. The pickled radish is my favourite topping. Crunch, crunch. The water cups are toddler size, so I have to go back for refills like 19 times each visit. Buy 10 bowls and you get one free. For my free bowl I was told I can't dine there, but have to take it to go, which I think was an odd way to treat what is obviously a returning customer. This place was pretty crowded on a sat during 1pm. There was no seating left inside (limited to begin with) and a line of people waiting to order. I didn't mind since I was taking food to go and it was my first time so I wanted some time to look at the menu. I came here for poke, but I saw that ramen was also a super popular item. I got the regular size build your own bowl with salmon and ahi tuna on sushi rice ($10.99).The regular size is limited to 4 toppings, which is annoying, but they made up for it by making crab salad a topping with no extra charge (rare these days!). Everything tasted fresh. Their wasabi sauce that you can get yourself after you check out is really good! The only thing that bothered me was that it was super loud inside and the guy making my bowl couldn't hear me unless I was basically shouting over the top of the glass. There were a few instances where I was asking a question about what an ingredient was and he just took that as me saying I wanted it and added it to my bowl. Oh well. It's not my absolute favorite poke spot, but I wouldn't mind stopping by again if I were in the area. read more

The location itself is a little hidden between Food Lion and Alpaca but there is tons of parking. The inside is one of the cutest shops/restaurants around. It's well decorated and the seating is equally as cute. I went in during the grand opening and got the deluxe in which you can choose three proteins and unlimited toppings. I had the salmon, spicy tuna and albacore mixed with the spicy mayo. I will say that their size is smaller compared to the other poke businesses but the taste is what puts this place above the others for me. They also have a variety of different toppings which I really liked. AND I loved that the mix ins were chopped so finely!! It's all in the details. Definitely will be coming back. read more

I was very pleased with the service and quality of food as well as the choices available. Their menu has a number of pre-configured bowls if you don't have the time to create your own, or you can flip the menu over and select all of the ingredients individually. All bowls are very reasonably priced and the bowl I had was portioned well to fill me up without feeling hungry again soon after. Highly recommend giving them a try! read more

Everything that I need in a poke shop! The assembly line style is nothing new (think chipotle) and easy to navigate. There are group tables that sit 4 and high chairs by the windows. They have tons of succulents around the room and a cute nautical gallery wall. Food: There are premade options as well as build your own. The classic build your own is 2 proteins + unlimited mix ins + 5 toppings; the deluxe build your own is the same as classic except with unlimited toppings. Cost of a classic bowl will be about $11-12. The quality of the fish is really not bad. I didn't have high expectations coming in but was pleasantly surprised that my salmon and ahi tuna tasted pretty fresh. They probably gave me about 1-1.5 cups of cooked rice and 1/4 cup for all the other ingredients. I might've asked if they could do a half rice half salad bowl since the rice carbs are pretty hefty. You can sample the different sauces. The Hipoke tasted like a spicy ponzu and the Poke tasted like soy sauce. I ultimately chose the normal Ponzu sauce. Service: Amazing amazing service. The girl with the blue hair was exceptionally patient and friendly. You rock! The little things matter!! I was SO excited to see that they had complementary honey lemon water and hand sanitizer by the trash where you put up your tray. *squeal* There is also a rewards card (buy 10 get 1 free) so I will definitely be coming back :) read more

So, this is the second time I've had a bad experience at this place. The first time I noticed the scoops were about 7/8 full as they scooped them, & they just didn't have a lot of the things that other places had. This time I showed up to them telling me that my order was going to take 20 minutes to a half hour. 4 minutes later I got a confirmation it was ready. When I walked in they said the order was too big & it was still another 20 minutes. They send me a confirmation to pickup! They had no idea what I was talking about.
