In total I lost approx $1500 worth of goods. They will take payment before unloading. After that good luck if you get everything done right. Can't do anything about it. Unfortunately I'm giving them 2 Star's because they told my parent's realtor that they were licensed and insured, plus other reasons I mention below. Josh is an extremely nice and professionally-behaved person and his crew worked very hard, so I want to be fair, but I also have to be honest to you other people looking for movers. It is important to note that my parents are elderly, in their 80s. They are very nice and trusting people and I feel as if they were misled about the coverage and in the end, taken advantage of since Josh never offered any compensation for damages as he kept telling us he would. Because of COVID Lockdown, I was not able to travel and be present during the move. If I had been, I would've made sure there was a contract or suggested other movers. Due to the movers not being insured and licensed, there was no contract and no damage protection. This means that if something is damaged, the movers are not required to pay you compensation for the damaged items. When confronted about this, Josh said he would but it's been months, with many unreturned or defensive texts., Josh additionally showed inexperience by HUGELY underestimating the amount of time and items to be moved. Granted, it was a very big house lots and lots of stuff my parents had collected over the years, but a professional and experienced mover would've estimated it correctly. This is a small Company. My guess would be they are relatively new or just lack the experience doing large and long-haul moves. The plan was to load the trucks (they used U-Haul's!), pack up some other items, and drive down the next day. After two days they did not finish, and it was unclear when they were coming down. Luckily, my parents were able to stay at my home. When they arrived, the only arrived with 2/3 of their things! They left the rest in the garage. Keep in mind that the new owners were supposed to move in! Luckily they were very generous in allowing the items to be stored in the garage until Josh was able to pick them up. Well, that was a about week later. Josh pack the truck himself and drove it down. One man job. Unfortunately, before Josh packed up the rest of the items, my parents paid him and his crew. In fact, they paid him TWO TIMES the amount of Josh quoted! They were just too nice and too trusting. This is what happens when there's no contract. I might've paid extra if I felt it was deserved, but I would've made sure there was a contract so I was protected. Unfortunately, they weren't, and neither will you. My mom kept saying, "Oh Josh is a nice guy...". Well this is business and no matter how nice someone else you have to remember to protect yourself.
