I had a very bad experience with this moving company. I hired them three weeks before my moving date and followed up again a week prior to confirm that everything was set up. On the day of the move, just two hours before the scheduled time, Francisco called to inform me that the U-Haul truck they had reserved in Tracy had been canceled. I then had to search for trucks in other cities and found one available in Pleasanton at a similar price. However, he was not willing to go to Pleasanton to pick it up due to the extra distance and fuel cost. I even offered to cover the additional mileage cost, but he still refused and suggested that I go pick up the truck myself. I would not recommend this company for moving services. They do not have their own trucks and rely on third-party companies like U-Haul or Budget. If their reservation gets canceled, they are not willing to make alternative arrangements or pick up a truck from another location. read more

We found AJR Moving Services on Yelp because of their good reviews. After messaging them, they responded promptly and were able to get guys out to assist us promptly. We hired them to help us move some heavy furniture pieces back into our house after repairs were completed from flooding we experienced. They arrived in what appeared like a personal vehicle, with a more experienced mover and a helper. They moved the furniture pieces in for us effortlessly and much quicker than we anticipated, with no damage or There are some other companies we reached out to who appeared legit but turned out to not be insured and couldn't provide us a formal invoice. (Do your research before hiring someone!) AJR was professional and able to provide us everything we needed for our insurance. The experience working with them was easy, and they did a good job. We had a two day move from Galt to SoCal finished today. I would not hesitate to hire Francisco and his team again. He went out of his way to accommodate our last minute changes and special needs. Nothing was broken or scratched. We had a lot of stuff. He, his family, and team were extremely pleasant to work with and their prices are very reasonable. I would usually only hire someone with hundreds of reviews but I had a gut feeling about them and I was not disappointed. I recently made use of AJR Moving for a somewhat complicated move involving 2 families and 4 stops in total. First of all they packed my household goods in less than half the time I expected. This was done without compromising quality, they just worked quickly and everyone knew their jobs. The same was true of the unloading even with an extended walk from the truck to the destination. After making my delivery, the crew returned to my home late in the afternoon, loaded additional items, and then made a delivery more than 50 miles in the opposite direction, completing the day after 8 pm. The whole operation was quick, efficient, and at a very affordable price. I could not be more pleased with the whole move - start to finish. They are a quality operation in every regard. read more
