What a blast! What a cool and unique outdoor brewery experience . We had a ton of fun here playing darts in the back and being underneath the canopies and the intermodals. Our server was very friendly and was able to get us a beer and a beer flight. She recommended some that I wouldn't have ever picked like a pickle sour. But they were all great and it was fun to try some of their award winning beers as well. I don't know what the other hi-wire breweries look like but I liked this one . I think they even have pickleball leagues that play at their covered courts that are on the campus as well. What a fun place ! read more

What a fun place! We were excited to come to Ashville because anytime we mentioned coming to NC, Ashville came up. This place has a lot of choose from- beer, cocktails, NA, and others. They also have a lot of games including board games, arcade games, claw machine, pool, table tennis, shuffleboard, and something else that I'm forgetting right now. The drinks were delicious and the vibe was fun. The staff were all very friendly and have is great local recommendations. Highly recommend! read more

We'd stumbled across Hi Wire beer at a music festival in Mexico, so we'd had it on our must-visit list for some time. We visited a year or so after the severe flooding that closed the tasting room for a while. It was fantastic to see them thriving again. The staff is friendly and gives great recommendations, and they now have a golf simulator within the "Ace & Eagle Urban Sports Club" in the back of the tasting room. I really enjoy the beer made by Hi-Wire Brewing. When I knew I would be in Asheville, I decided to stop in to pick up some beer to-go. They have several locations in the Asheville area. I went to this location after attempting to go to the downtown location, where I was unable to find parking on a Friday evening. Upon arriving, I discovered that this location is actually the corporate headquarters. I parked and walked inside the beer garden area. The beer garden area is kind of walled off from the parking lot and has plenty of seating outside as well as inside and looks like a really cool place to hang out and have a beer. The bar area opens up to a patio which overlooks the beer garden. I walked around a bit and could see where they brew their beer. I also saw what looked like bocce ball inside. There's an area on the side of the bar where they have swag for sale and beer to go. I picked up a six pack out of the cooler and went to the counter where I paid. I did notice the price was a bit more than what I typically pay in the grocery store. This place looks pretty cool and we will likely return. read more

My new fav location for this local(ish) brewery. Winning. Accidentally on purpose biked here last weekend and was super pleasantly surprised. They have a huge indoor area (like the other locations) but the true highlight was the outdoor area cause it was so pretty. The line can get long but luckily there is a ton of space to get cozy and wait u til it dies down. And it does. Totally ebs and flows. They have the usual suspects on draft and available in cans or bottles. Had the mountain water which is my currently light jam. It was perfect. Super kind staff. Little shop. Great beers on a frigid Saturday! The outdoor space was amazing but everyone had to be inside. They had live music and a vendors market inside. Lots of fun! We got the last can of Hurricane sour (tropical and delicious) and had a king cake stout to enjoy with the Mardi Gras festivities. They had an excellent coffee milk stout that we bought a reasonably priced 6 pack of! They serve cocktails as well. We discovered a wonderful food truck too- Purple People Feeder was great value and good food. I look forward to returning to Hi-Wire in warmer weather. read more

This is a really cool spot. Lots of space and tables to chill at. We went at a down time on a early Saturday afternoon. They have a wide selection of beers and ciders (over 20); from a few sours to IPA's. My wife loved the Mountain water which tasted like a flavored water-good on a hot day. They have baggo, bocce and large jenga. There is a constant BBQ food truck there but we didn't eat there. I saw limited parking but not sure if there is parking outside their main lot. Dogs are definitely welcome. We saw many of them. read more

Best spot to be at for all the beer lovers. They had 24 beer on tap, i mean i have been to several brewery and these numbers are what i love about the breweries. They need to have a-lot of option. The people were super awesome, she navigated me through all the beer knowledge and also suggested some which was definitely must try. I loved their stouts, i would definitely recommend to do the flights. The vibe of the place is amazing, lots of space for lots of people, any size of group you can party at this location. They said they have food tricks normally for any food options but there were none when we went there but we had food loaded all the way and i love breweries who let you bring your own food. Definitely a must stop and enjoy their service. The only thing i regret was i didn't had my 1 gallon beer tank to bring some home but next time i gotta get some of their stouts to Charlotte. Overall great place and to all the employees working here, you guys make this place extra cozy. read more

Not overly impressed with the brew here. Went to 8 breweries on most recent trip and their beer may have been least impressive. The weather was warm on this day and thus sat outside in cool outdoor area made up of picnic tables in shipping containers. The beer was warm, which contributed to the low regards for the product as hole. Got all IPAs on flight and did not like one enough to even finish which is saying something to someone who is conditioned to finish their portions when eating or drinking since childhood. Kid friendly which was convenient. BBQ food truck was solid. Feel this is like wicked weed in regards to sacrificing quality as they expand so much. Sad but truth of the industry. read more

I only wish we had come here earlier in the day. This was our last stop in Asheville and it was dark and cold. Next time this is going to be our first stop because I want to hang out in their beer garden. Looks incredible! We had a great couple of beers here before heading back to our cabin. Drinking Hi Wire beers while sitting in the brewery is very cool. The bar area seating areas are huge. No frills, just picnic tables. There were only a few other people in the bar, so we got beers quickly and enjoyed them. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Asheville. read more

Love this new spot in the RAD! Was popping on a Tuesday night in Asheville, which is an accomplishment in itself. It's not hard to see why. They have a large menu with a variety of drink options. I tried the gingerbread stout, which was surprisingly smooth and went down easy. The outdoor seating is sooo cute with the covered metal roofing and bench seating. They even had some overhead heaters out there. I love how big the area is. It will accommodate lots of people with ample parking too. Love all the vibrant colorful graffiti art adorning the entrance and garden area as well. The inside was also spacious with some table seating. They had various corn hole stations setup, but the 2 bocce ball stations in the back were the real winner! I have discovered a love of the bocce and will definitely be back on the regular. They also had some cute pinball machines setup in a side room with a little merch area. This place is definitely poised to give New Belgium some stiff competition in west asheville. read more

Neat Biergarten. Seating for many, parking for few. Dog and kid friendly. The beers, of course, are outstanding. Hi-Wire is making a name for itself and expanding with distribution growing all the time. The beer menu listed well over a dozen varieties as well as sodas and other alcoholic options. The decor is garish with spray painted art covering the inside of multiple shipping containers. Inside the containers are "picnic table" seating. Be careful, the benches can be tippy. There is a "food truck" option (looks pretty permanent) with bbq but I never smelt any cooking and we were there after dinner. People working here were friendly although a little overwhelmed at times. There are three order windows. Be patient and they'll get to you eventually. I've been to all three Hi-Wire locations in Asheville now. I like the brewery itself in the Biltmore Village vicinity but I like this one as well. read more

This space is really freaking cool. It's tucked back off the road, so we didn't see it at first when we drove by and parked down the road. The outside area is spacious with rows of tables, three-wide, in a shipping container sort of space. All open-air with plenty of huge fans to keep you cool, all while being covered. There were I think 16 beers on tap across a wide spectrum of styles. Definitely the kind of brewery that is accessible to many different levels of beer lover status. read more

Did you know that Hi-Wire opened a third location in Asheville?! Because I didn't. I noticed it as I was strolling through River Arts district last weekend and decided to stop by to check it out. Almost immediately it became my favorite location of theirs. Their outside area is HUGE, and almost every inch of the shipping containers used to box in their location is covered in graffiti. Who doesn't love being surrounded by art (especially in the arts district)? We brought our dog (and cat) with us, and we weren't the only ones, but the space has so much seating which allowed us to find a spot where our kitty wasn't even noticed by the other doggos. Their tap list is long, and also includes a few local ciders for the non-beer drinkers. They sell canned beverages for take out, merch, discs for disc golfs, the whole nine years. And let's not forget to mention PINBALL. If I remember correctly there were 4 pinball machines inside. Although this space is mostly outdoors it is fully shaded and has enough fans hanging where we were very comfy on the 90 degree summer day. There are also benches inside. Just like the Big Top location, Foothills has a food truck at this location as well. Being a vegetarian I didn't usually order food when visiting the Big Top location due to the lack of vegetarian options, so I was surprised to see a veggie burger on their menu however they were sold out due to distribution issues.
