I was in search of a few thc seltzers and this place had a lovely and interesting selection. I picked out 4 seltzers with some quick guidance from the friendly shopkeeper. I received a surprise discount for buying 4 cans. I've had 2 of the 4 so far and no complaints from me! If I was local, I'd gladly be a repeat customer. read more

Always somewhat skeptical about so many high ratings? Don't be with this one. While parking out front could be an issue, there is ample parking around back. I was looking solely for local brews and this place did not disappoint. There were more choices than I needed. The gentleman that was there was extremely helpful. I told him my "like" parameters and he deftly pointed out everyone of the beers that met them or came close. Two cases later, I had to leave before I went for the third one. If you are even close to the area, stop by, its definitely worth an hour drive out of your way. read more

The bottle shop is one of the best spot's in town! It's not only great for buying a wide range of adult beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), but it is also a really fun place to hang out! Awesome synth jams and synth shows, great company and a chill environment. The owners, Kri and Jamie are wonderful humans and very knowledgeable. read more

A new favorite neighborhood spot. Not my neighborhood mind you, but I used to live here so that counts right? My point is, this place is a spectacular little spot. I plan on returning, and if I lived here, I would be here all the time. Little hard to find parking on the street but perhaps they have a lot? Or, you could just go with the not popular downtown west asheville hours. That's what I like to do. Upon entering, there were two people in there. Seems like one of them was the owner or manager? He was incredibly helpful right away, asking how he could answer any questions. I was in the market for some beer and some non-alcoholic options. I love that they have a good amount of single nonalcoholic drinks. And they do 10 percent off a six pack. They also have a good amount of sodas, and I picked up a four pack of local soda for some friends. Their wine and beer collection is ample. The price is really seem fair. The store is self is small and cozy, but packs a lot of options. As I mentioned before they have a lot of pick your own six pack. I love most things in this world where you get to sample many. I guess they do some pours while you could sit there at the tiny bar? Cute. I did see somebody sitting and a few taps, but I wasn't sure. At the end, the cash register asked me how much to tip, and I floundered and tipped on just a can purchase. You got me there. Haha. Guess I will just talk this one up to extra support for local. We stumbled upon this place trying to find somewhere with craft beer for us to purchase during our stay. Great selection of local beers with a few non-local beers thrown in. Six packs or create your own six packs. The man behind the counter was super helpful and gave me a few suggestions as I was looking for local beers and it was my first day in town and hadn't yet had the opportunity to explore the MANY beers offered in Asheville. The place had a cool vibe with music playing and beers on tap to give a try. I have to say, he knocked it out of the park and suggested a solid IPA. Very pleased. They also had Jack's, the favorite cider of my gf and I. We will definitely be stopping back by to grab some six packs to go on the way out of town! Highly recommend! read more

What a great experience. We are two beer novices trying to buy beer for friends back home and we were struggling with the task. The employee was so helpful! He wasn't at all condescending, he made us feel comfortable to ask questions and matched every question with a knowledgeable and informative response in terms we could understand. This was a great find on our visit to Asheville. We were just looking for a good bottle of wine, and found this eclectic and one-of-a- kind gem! The proprietors are very into music and got into the business primarily to have the space and resources to "play around with our synthesizers". They've created a welcoming and cozy space to read and relax, and a truly unique selection of wine, hard cider, beer, port, and tobacco products. Many of them local or from smaller independent producers, most of them unknown to us, but all selected because the owners and staff liked them from personal experience. They know their curated collection incredibly well as a result. So they make outstanding recommendations if you're feeling adventurous to try something new. And they're incredibly nice and down-to-earth. What more could you want? read more

This place is one of my favorite hangouts in West Asheville (with a few caveats that you, the reader, should try to help out with, if you can). But I'll get into that later. First, Kris and Jamie are awesome guys. Kris is the laid-back one. Jamie is the serious but wise one. Together they make a great team. They're accepting of all walks of life, as indicated by the sign they have outside the bottle shop's entrance. They support the local synthesizer community, and have the shop stocked with a wide variety of local brews. They even have sake, which is cool. I like their ciders, but that's just me. [The caveats (my opinion, of course)...the ambience needs more colorful artwork, and the fridges are a little noisy. Again, this is my opinion. Kris and Jamie deserve to hang the best art on their walls and have the best fridges. If you can help in this regard, you should. They deserve it.] read more
