The membership is tricky- they say you can add a family member for a one time fee but they don't mention the family member also pays extra for every service. if you decide you want to cancel the membership but have money that you can only use at Hiatus- that money can't be used as a credit- even though that is what it is. massages have good firmness but just strokes on body. there is no technique. Be very careful coming here, they will charge your card without asking, or permission. I had a $500 charge run on one of my cards on file after I had already left AND paid for my service on another card. It was very suspicious and strange. Felt borderline illegal to have your card run without any notification or phone call or anything.. very strange and suspect. Be careful. I would delete all card numbers on your account!! Imo terribly overpriced for what you get. I've paid far less at places with much nicer facilities and amenities (eucalyptus steam rooms, champagne, etc.). Massage was passable. Facial was just ok. I wish esthetician had explained each step of the facial process to me as she was applying the different products. That's what I'm accustomed to at other spas but maybe that's just not a thing at Hiatus. And I left with product pilling all over my face which was not pleasant. I made an appt. with them for my 14 yr. old granddaughter yesterday. I told them she just wanted a basic facial, the $140.00 one. She told me she would have to meet with the technician and she would decide which treatment was best for her skin type. I get it, but when she went back with the tech, she asked for the basic and the tech said they didn't have that one anymore. (red flag), then she proceeded to name off a couple of the other ones and the tech said they didn't have those anymore either. (another red flag). So she came out with a $275.00 facial, plus 3 products she should buy for around $180.00. How convenient! My granddaughter's face isn't full of acne or any other problems, other than dry skin, because she spent the whole month of June outdoors at camp. I feel like they should have consulted the parent/guardian, if it was going to be that costly. I could see that amt. maybe for an adult. but not a teenager. I would be very cautious if you are going for the first time. We will not be back! read more

I had a great experience until the end (3.5 stars). I will start by saying I was greeted properly and showed around upon arrival. The amenities were very clean, and well organized and the vibe was very relaxing. The healthy glass of Prosecco I was given was also a plus! My esthetician was kind and informative and I appreciated her kindness and knowledge. I received the Gua Sha facial that was a 45min (quick service). My only issue was the mask not being properly wiped off prior to putting on the serum and spf at the end of my service. Not to mention leaving and not having anyone let me know it was still there (I encountered 6 staff members on the way out) . Although it wasn't a big deal I was a little disappointed because I had to go home and wash my face and I wanted to let all of the goodness of the hydration and spf soak in for a while . Despite this issue, I do believe it could have happened to anyone. Even though I was very frustrated on Saturday, I have decided to extend grace and I do believe I would return and recommend to a friend. read more

My overall experience here has been ok so far. I am a member so hopefully that in the coming months as things open up more I'll experience better than what I have thus far. My pedi is always on point but their limited color pallet and excessive prices for simple things like take off and gel add on has me looking at other places. The only massage I got there left me wanting to try a few other practitioners before giving up so I'll for sure update going forward. I have bought a few of their products and nothing has really wow'd me but I have yet to dive deeper into their face and body stuff so again, I'll update as we go forward. Alayna was Amazing!! The cryo sculpting in my facial really helped with the puffiness I was experiencing from allergies and sinus headache. I have been going to Hiatus Spa for years. The experience is great - I love the ambiance, I love the locker room amenities, I love their special Aveda tea... however, time and time again I've stopped coming here because of the terrible front desk service. No matter how many years go by, they can't seem to get their shit together. I am always left absolutely frustrated by my interactions with the front desk from booking appointments to checking out on my appointments. It is not specific to this location either, it appears to be every Hiatus location. I truly cannot understand how a spa of such quality cannot correctly train their staff. The constantly drop the ball on applying my membership, overbill, do not have my correct gift card balances on file, and take an absurd amount of time to check you out after a service - when you have a great relaxing service, nothing is more frustrating then having to deal with the front desk. This is my plea to Hiatus, PLEASE get your front desk staff trained adequately! read more

Do not use Hiatus. I've been a member of Hiatus and my membership is on auto payment of $69. Last August I came in for Botox and I used all my balance and paid $212 out of pocket for my balance. So I was charged 09/2021 to 01/22 5 months of payment. I called yesterday and the 5 payments were verified. Here is where all the problems started: I came in today and spent $160. My balance is $69x5 which is around $350. She said I had to pay $22. Because it has to be $69 even in order to use the credit. So I said plz transfer all my balance to a gift card and I'll use the gift card to pay. She said she couldn't do anything about it because there was a $69 negative balance. Wow why though? I didn't use their service since 08/2021 and I was on auto withdraw every month. Why do I have a negative balance? She said I had to wait for the other manager to come in to fix. I requested her to call someone and she did. The manager she called was able to remove the negative $69 balance. I asked her why. She said it was just a glitch. Not anyone's fault. That worries me. They can just go in and manipulate your account. So scary. The problem continues. Now my 5 months payments became 4. 09/2021 is returned or canceled or used. So scary. We didn't get $69 refunded to our credit card. I didn't use the service since 08/2021. This is so freaking scary. The manager will call me this afternoon to get this resolved. I will update you. Update on payment: problem is solved. The manager was helpful. And she is able to put my balance on my gift card which the assistant manager on site on 01/21 said I can't do that. Update on my services: I had my Botox done on 01/21 and today is 01/28. My bruise is still not gone yet on both sides. Wouldn't recommend to do Botox here. read more

Wow! I've been a spa hopper for the longest time and I've found my spot. Definitely left Hiatus with a recurring monthly membership because my experience was really that good. Let's take a moment to go over it... Ambiance: 5/5. So perfect. After checking in, I was given a quick tour since it was my first time. They have robes and sandals to change into, inside the women's area. This is where the toilets, showers, toiletries, and sauna is. It was kept so impressively clean. Outside of this and around the corner there is a relaxation area where you can pour your own water and hot tea. Tea was yummy! Service: 5/5 everyone was so sweet and welcoming. I went for a facial this time and booked with Adrienne after reading some good reviews about her. She went over my skin goals and the plan for the next several months as I'm prepping to have flawless skin for my wedding. I had so many questions and she was so patient. We ended up doing the clean slate facial and she made sure I was ok with the upgrade before we proceeded. Which I definitely appreciated bc some of the other spas would just assume it's ok to hit you with the price tag at the end of the service. Back to Adrienne, she was so gentle with me and so knowledgeable, checking to make sure my skin was doing well after every product and explaining what the product is and does. She's my girl and I'm so excited to be on this journey with her. Value: 5/5 I got an amazing 60 min facial for $99 (membership pricing) before tip and my skin has never felt so good after a service. I would definitely recommend Hiatus and their membership. They offer great membership pricing, the facility is clean & well kept, the staff is professional and overall 5 plus stars!! I am able to use the dry sauna, shower, relax, drink refreshing water, have my services and get ready for the day stress feee! The toilet on the left is constantly broken and plugged up. Ive had to go to the front to inform them several times of all the things wrong in the woman's bathroom/locker room. I have been canceled on more times than I can count. They have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Yet the amount of times they've cancelled on me is ridiculous. I went in for a massage and mani/pedi today. The massage felt great but was supposed to be 60 minutes. He spent the first 15 minutes with sales pitches for add ons and telling me to buy different pillows and what stretches to do at home. During the massage he talked a lot, continuing to sell more add-ons for products and additional concentration on a problem area. I agreed to pay $15 for the focus on my shoulder but it turned out that wasn't additional time, just for more pressure and work in one area. Not sure what the $15 was for because I sacrificed other focus points "due to time". My actual massage was about 40 minutes and wasn't relaxing bc of the constant talk about memberships, adding hot stones etc. Then my mani/pedi. They didn't have time for the hand/foot massage bc they had to remove gel polish from my toes and that takes longer. But when I checked out I was charged an additional fee (I think $15) for removing the polish. I'm not sure why bc, again, I sacrificed other parts of the service for the time it took to remove the polish. I was given polish samples to select a color without any discussion about gel or regular. When checking out I paid another $60 ($30 for gel on hands, $30 for feet). THEN I got outside and discovered my nail polish color was different on each hand. I went back in but no one was available to fix it because the nail tech was on her break. I'm frustrated that I paid almost $100 in add-ons and I left with two colors of polish on hands and a super short, not-relaxing massage. read more

The front desk staff did not seem to know how to do simple tasks. The facial I received was the incorrect one. The aesthetician never turned on the light to look at my face. Had 2 hour massage yesterday and still feel amazing! I love treating myself. It is a true spa experience. After arriving, you change in the locker room into a robe and relax in waiting area for your masseuse to get you. (If you are early, spend time first in the dry sauna!). Then in the room, offered a choice of scents before the masseuse steps out to let you disrobe and slip under the sheet on the table. After the massage, you can relax again in the same waiting area. No rush for you to leave. (I hate changing in same room as treatment as you have to get dressed and leave as soon as you are done. I need to relax some more before facing the world ) Whenever you are ready to leave, can go back to locker room (dry sauna again if desired). Showers are available to wash the massage oil off before getting dressed. They have amazing shampoo/conditioner in the shower area. My long hair was not tangled at all after washing. Blow dryer, deodorant and ponytail holders provided as well as some other basic supplies for getting ready to meet the world again. I highly recommend this spa! Wow what an experience. I went today to cash in a gift card I was given for Christmas. I got the signature massage and facial. When you arrive you will fill out oaperwork for what you are doing. They will then take you to the locker room and give you a tour. The locker room had 2 "changing areas", 2 large bathrooms, 2 showers, and a sauna. You are then given a robe to change into and slippers and wait in the relaxation room. There they have aromatherapy going, flavored water, and hot tea. When it is your turn the tech will call you back. The massage was wonderful! My tech made sure I felt comfortable, and if she felt like I didn't then she would ask. The room was very clean and very elegant. When I got my facial she was awesome. It was pretty much a facial plus a massage on your upper back, as well as legs. The only "complaint" I have is if you do the combo package, you will move from room to room. Not a big deal, I would have just rather stayed comfy in the bed I was in. First step was to get into a comfy robe, grab some berry water, and chill in the relaxation room. Tara is so friendly, kind and always asking if you are doing ok. Next step was a hot towel w/ oils around my neck. So relaxing! Then she started with the Body Wrap. Lots to it, but I'll wrap this service up with a FIVE STAR experience. My skin feels incredible 24 hours later. Next up was my 29 Again facial. Because it was my birthday month, I got a deep peel added to the facial (membership perks!) I do look 29 again!
