This store is as far from "Native Made" as east from west. Nothing locally "tribal" just bought in bulk from Guanajuato Mexico and Peru. Fortunately we are well traveled and know a ripoff with ridiculously jacked up prices when we see them. Shame on you! Also, if you think following around your customers will get you a sale, think again. That's just weird and creepy. I'm out of there! In SoCal you can find all this stuff easily, and wayyyyy cheaper. Aside from Indian Jewelry they also sell custom wedding rings (Gold, turquoise, diamond, silver), native made moccasins, Indian style smoked salmon, buffalo jerky, Navajo beef jerky, stuff from tribes in the Pac Northwest, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, other stuff such as; alpaca hats, artic red fox hides. Bought a few souvenirs here! & as a passing tourist who also happens to be a fashion graduate, I was completely okay with the prices for the craftsmanship love my hats!! Perfect bucket hats for a hike in Jedediah, or for a chilly beach sunset! Nice people. Super conversational. Don't expect mass produced prices. & don't expect the Mexican crafts to be the same prices as they would be in the country. Overheard some people saying they could "find it cheaper elsewhere," but being that I'm Mexican & have been to more swapmeets than I could count, as well as the country, there really was some special finds in this shop. DO NOT GO HERE!! The kids wanted jewelry souvenirs and the lady in this store snobbingly told us "this is the high end side of the store" while my son and kids were admiring the jewelry case. She then asked where they were from and they said "Grants Pass" and rolled her eyes when telling her co-worker "see. Grants Pass" and turned her back on them. She made us feel like trash so we walked out. Dumb bitch. Little did she know each of the kids had $100 to spend on souvenirs. read more

Stay away! This was the most awkward shopping/browsing experience I have ever been through.. My sister and I were constantly followed around the store by the staff and time after time were given very overwhelming, annoying "sales pitches" about the store/items. I literally could not look at or pick up one item and admire it without being interrupted by an employee. It started to feel eerie and I wondered if they do this to all customers or if they were just following us because they profiled us and thought we were going to steal something. The woman who seemed like the owner was very rude and started glaring at us like we had done something terribly wrong. She started pointing at us and whispering to her employees. Then we were approached yet again! This time it was because my sister was holding an empty drink container and they informed us we were not allowed to have water bottles in the store. That's fine, although you'd think with how much they already followed us that they could've mentioned something from the get go. We informed them that it was empty anyway and they awkwardly told us they could hold it for us if we'd like. We ended up leaving instead & got out of there! On a separate note, I am Native American and Latina. I have lived in different regions of Mexico and am familiar with the art. At first I thought it was great that artists in third world countries were being supported by their craft being purchased. However, I noticed items that I know to be $8 (most likely even cheaper if bought in bulk) in Mexico were being resold at a huge profit margin of $80 to $100. Personally, I don't like the idea of hard working artists being paid so little only to have their items resold at such a high price. I would rather support the artists directly. Do not support this establishment. If you like Native American art or souvenirs, I strongly recommend supporting the local tribes in the area. read more

This is a special place. I have been stuck in Crescent City due to wildfires and that was the perfect excuse to check this place out. The owners are an absolute wealth of information and storytelling and their collection of authentic indigenous items is to die for. I'm so glad I stopped in and got a little bit of everything- got to check some items off my Christmas list! read more

CULTURAL APPROPRIATION. Lee and Shona are very unprofessional. Lee (the boss) all she cares about is money. she'll be fake to you as soon as you come into the door, she'll even lie and tell you you looked familiar if you've been into the gallery before and you coulda came into the gallery 3 to 4 years ago. If you don't buy anything she'll talk sh** after you walk out the door about how the customer didn't buy something and she'll question why you even came into the store. Shona (the daughter of Lee) has a very strange personality that makes you think she may be intellectually challenged in some way. She snaps at her coworkers out of nowhere and always has the strangest looks on her face. 95% of the time she is very rude. She's like a tape on repeat, she'll say the same things multiple times a day and it sounds very abnormal. Someone who has as many problems and creates as many problems as she does should not be in management nor should they be on the floor interacting with others. They say everything is genuine from native and indigenous tribes, this is false and very wrong because what they are doing is cultural appropriation. Lee and Shona also treat there employees disgustingly and unprofessionally. I would never bring business here. ‼ read more

Wish I read any reviews online or even the other one on yelp but I didn't and made the mistake of coming into this store. Yes, you're followed around the store and if you even mention liking something to whoever your with they will force you with terrible sales tactics to buy things making it an extremely uncomfortable environment. Not to mention my partner bought me a ring for 86 dollars and the next day it was already tarnished when she called to complain to see if something could be done she was met with a very snarky and passive aggressive attitude over the phone. STAY FAR AWAY!! There are more small business around that will be happy to get your support and treat you with respect. read more

I was excited to visit this store especially after I found out they sold Indian candy. I was so disappointed simply because of the people. There is a very negative vibe in there with the owner barking orders at the staff. Seems the staff is made to follow you around while giving a memorized monologue about the store. I'm not sure if the staffing is different from the other reviews but I was treated nicely and the products were amazing. They didn't seem pushy and they were willing to lower prices a bit. Everything seemed very high quality and it was all fun to look at. The staff wore masks and masks were required to be in the store. Lovely experience overall. read more
