When you walk in, the Ambiance is what it is, and it's not a place to go with anyone who's idea of sushi is a glam date night spot. This is a casual, no frills place to take care of the Sushi cravings. Most importantly, you will still crave it when you are done!. The sushi is spot on. It's always well made and delicious. We moved here almost two years ago but have not been able to find a good sushi spot. We finally tried Sakura Sushi- it is definitely the best sushi spot we have tried so far. We tried four different rolls and liked all of them. The rolls have a good amount of ingredients. So many places load up the rolls with rice and a tiny bit of filling but that is not the case here. Great flavor. I think they are priced a bit high but I'll pay the price to have better sushi. This is definitely a bit hidden in the boot ranch shopping center but the inside is nice and bigger than what you would expect from the outside. Came in for some sushi. Was the only person in the place. Was dirty and awkward. Ordered what looked great on the menu and in photos and was gross. I am not a picky person and have never not eaten my sushi even if it wasn't the best but I took most of it to go (should've tossed it). I told the server I didn't like any of it and she just said sorry and brought the whole bill and apologized again. The edamame was so overcooked, it was mushy and most of the soy beans were out of their shell. The tuna avocado roll was pretty good actually and tasted fresh. The spicy tuna roll was so "fishy" tasting, we couldn't eat it. It shouldn't taste like that. I eat tuna all the time and I know the difference between good and bad. For one, the place is quiet and cozy and the staff and owners are all delightful, kind people who give us free Edamame when we come in. But we've been going there for a few years now, so you may not get any. ;-) They have a great lunch selection of sushi rolls for under $10.00 for up to 3 different rolls. The lunch comes with miso soup and ginger dressing salad. It is a great deal and they serve quickly. Dinner time is also great, I recommend the "Super Crunchy" roll which is tempura shrimp and a tangy, spicy sauce. They also do a great lobster and cuke roll. Yum! If you are looking for a nice, quiet place to have dinner for a good price and something that isn't crowded and delicious, Sakura is a great pick! They are open for lunch until 2pm and re-open for dinner at 5pm until 10pm. read more

It's basically creme cheese rolled up in rice and nori with a drizzle of sauce on top, but it was so good that I placed a second order. Simple, but delicious. We basically ordered all vegetarian options, not because we are vegetarians, but I always feel safer when trying a sushi restaurant for the first time to stick with non fish. However, on the next trip I will be trying the other rolls. We ordered the Vegetable Tempura Roll, Sweet Potato Roll (delish), California Roll and the Cream Cheese Roll (give me 5 orders, please!). Everything was good. The service was great - fast and friendly - and the presentation of the rolls was on point! Price was pretty reasonable.
