Was in town on business and came here for dinner before getting back on the road. I had the chicken and steak hibachi with salad and miso soup and a glass of wine (judge up momma). I sat at the bar like I usually do when I travel. The service, food, and ambience were all great. I fully recommend.

I can't say enough of how wonderful this dining experience was. The food was outstanding, and gorgeously presented. The staff we top knotch. The food had great flavor. Everything was perfect. Great environment. This definitely is a hidden gem!

Really nice clean place. Sushi is above par. The saki is severed delightfully hot. I've been twice now, early afternoon lunch. I bet it pops for dinner.

Food is as good as Japanese sushi with an America portion size. Lots of food for your buck and it tastes amazing. Price is very competitive and for the size of the rolls and portions it's beyond value. Also they do a lunch special that is unbeatable.

A great place to get a sushi kick for lunch! I'm a little surprised, but all the sushi places around me are closed for lunch. I was looking on a Sunday so maybe they are open for lunch other times, but this was shocking to me. Luckily Shogun opens at 12:30 (which I still find a little late, but I'll take late sushi instead of no sushi). I put in an Uber Eats order that morning for it to arrive between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. (which I thought might be pushing it since the restaurant opens at 12:30 p.m., but hey, it was an option). The food ended up arriving at 1:07 p.m., which I'm not mad about, close enough. We ordered: Sushi and sashimi for two, Honey Roll appetizer, Agedashi tofu appetizer, one order of Mackerel, one order of Tobiko and Steak and Chicken Hibachi. It came out to about $150 including tax and tip, but it was a ton of food. The sushi and sashimi for two was huge. I love the color dragon roll, I thought that was a great inclusion to balance out all the raw fish. They do salmon really well, I found the salmon to be super fresh, which is my favorite fish. For me, it ended up being too much raw fish (I know, is there really a thing?) so I definitely fulfilled my raw fish craving. Next time I'll go back to rolls. I finally found the honey salmon roll I had before. It turns out it is under sushi appetizer. I remember absolutely loving it last time. I still liked it, but I found it a bit too sweet. Maybe my taste buds have changed. It was good, but not a must get for me. The agedashi tofu was really good. It is sliced thinly and lightly fried. I actually got it to see if my son who is a super picky eater would like it. He spit it out, so that was a no go, but that's more for me. My husband liked his hibachi. I mistakenly said this was from the same place we got last time (which now looking at Yelp reviews, turns out it's not) and he said this time it was better. Score 1 for Shogun. If future Christina is reading this, next time Brandon wants to try the steak and shrimp. Everything was packaged beautifully. I just wish they would put the hot stuff and the cool stuff in separate bags, but I noticed every place does this, so they're not unique with how they put it all together.

Ambience was authentic and the rolls were great. We always try something new and today we tried Japanese strawberry soda. It was good. Interesting to open lol

Easy ordering, good food, will definitely go again. I really appreciate the clear distinction on the sushi menu of which rolls have raw fish vs which do not! We ordered to-go online and got a Mexican roll, spicy girl roll, spicy scallop roll and a vegetable yaki soba. The place was nice inside and our food was ready to go when we arrived. The yaki soba was the highlight of the meal. Generous portion and the noodles were very well prepared. The sushi was pretty good as well. The Mexican roll's cream cheese tasted more like the filling of a crab rangoon than the typical chunk in most rolls, which was a welcome surprise. The fish in the other rolls seemed pretty good quality as well.

The hostess was really nice & we were initially told it would be about a 35 minute wait, in actuality we waited a little over 10 minutes before we were seated which was fantastic! The server & the chef were both great & we both really enjoyed our time. The server made sure we had everything we needed before the chef came out, & the chef was very entertaining during the whole experience. I got a beer & a glass of plum wine & my daughter got one of the boba drinks. The onion soup & the house salad tasted great, I also got the Tuna Tataki as an appetizer. The tuna was fresh & the seaweed salad underneath paired great with the sauce, definitely going to get that again. For our main courses I did the sirloin & teriyaki chicken, & my daughter did the sirloin & shrimp. Everything was cooked perfectly & the chef did not skimp on the portions, we had plenty leftover to bring home afterwards.

There are plenty of sushi spots around here, but none have really won me over... until tonight. I decided to try Faceless Samurai. I ordered the Chirashi -- a bowl of sushi rice topped with chef's choice sashimi. I was in heaven. The fish was incredibly fresh, each piece perfectly sized for a satisfying bite. The texture and flavor of the sushi rice were spot-on -- lightly seasoned and balanced, letting the fish shine. The service was excellent, but what stood out even more was the atmosphere. The place felt warm and joyful. People were laughing. A couple walked in and the chef/owner came out to shake hands and hug a regular. My server was kind and professional. It just felt good to eat there. They've officially gained a lifelong customer -- I usually eat sushi once a week when I'm not traveling. Go treat your taste buds. You won't be disappointed. P.S. I rarely give 5 stars. It's that good!

1.5 stars. An…read moreextremely disappointing meal. I don't know where to begin. Let's talk about the fish first. Low quality lean grainy tuna was served. It wasn't cut properly, and was a rigid rectangle on a ball of improperly cooked rice. The salmon was mediocre tasting, but also unevenly sliced. The two pieces of escolar (chef's choice, my foot - cheap is more like it) were butchered like Tetris pieces. Why does it look like a croissant - for the love of Pete! The salmon maki wasn't properly rolled and was falling apart and the fish was cut improperly. The pork Katsu was okay. The other table was served frozen sashimi. What a poor performance. Service was poor. The wait time - an hour and fifteen minutes was appalling given the lack of quality and poor presentation. Thankfully, my 9 year old son and I entertained ourselves during that time, but they never brought him out his California roll. I cancelled it after we finished the bento box, but come on, what the heck, how do you not make a cali roll and not serve it to a hungry child immediately. I haven't left a 15% tip in quite some time, post pandemic, but this was beyond the pale. 1/2 star for the ambiance. It had me fooled. I don't like seeing businesses fail, but this one needs to be put out of its misery.

As we were being seated, my mother-in-law's drink order came out wrong (they arrived first). Our server mentioned it was his first week, which we tried to be understanding about - but things only continued to get worse. Throughout the meal: The initial drink order was incorrect My burger order was completely forgotten; by the time it finally came out, everyone else had finished eating, so I declined it My husband asked for tartar sauce and was given cocktail sauce instead My daughter never received the dipping sauce she was supposed to get The server poured my mother-in-law's beer into my father-in-law's dirty glass My husband and father-in-law both received rice instead of the mashed potatoes they ordered None of our drinks were ever refilled To make matters even more uncomfortable, toward the end of the meal, the server told my husband that his child had passed away that week. While that is tragic, it was extremely inappropriate and unsettling to share in this setting - especially during a birthday dinner, and particularly given that I am very pregnant. The manager never came over to address any of these issues. Instead, they sent out complimentary desserts valued at $3.95 each - which turned out to be miniature and felt like an afterthought given the overall experience. Overall, this was a very disappointing and uncomfortable evening, especially for what was supposed to be a special family celebration.
