I'll start by saying, the outside shopping center has a different name for the restaurant. "UmI seafood" but it's still the hibachi grill buffet. We were confused at first. It was around 21$ which is typical buffet prices. I don't think I got my moneys worth because I'm not a big seafood (crab/fish/lobster) girl. If you are, THIS IS the PLACE for YOU! The hibachi line was too long to wait for. However, there were soooo many options. Lots of yummy stuff. Our waitress was so nice, keeping drinks full and clearing old plates. I am really big on customer service and this place has it!! Everyone was very nice and kind and attentive to your needs. The price is fair! The food quality is top tier! The food has flavor and taste so fresh like I had it made to order. They have lunch and dinner prices aswell as fresh seafood & Hibachi cooked to order. The traffic is not so busy inside. This place is wonderful. I did not expect it to be so good. Just decided to try because we had a coupon. I started with the sushi bar. It is very good. But it is all wrapped sushi. So it is filling. Very upset..... I went to dinner with my boyfriend and my mother and everything was fine until it came time to pay, I give the lady that was waiting on us my card to pay and she comes back with the receipt and points at the tip line and goes tip for service then sign, and I thought that was weird to say. I always tip in cash I don't tip on my card so I crossed out the tip part and signed it. Then the lady comes to get the receipt and she sees where I crossed out the tip part and she goes "why no tip for service" and I thought that was very rude because I didn't even get a chance to go in my wallet to get the cash out for her and put it on the table, then she stands there with another lady and they're talking about it and just staring at us which was also rude so I said very loudly right to her and I asked am I not allowed to tip in cash because ur just standing there staring at us. Decided to try something different today with my family, I was very disappointed, upon entering I noticed that it was humid but thought maybe it was because of the windows, unfortunately I'm thinking the ac was out. Average hibachi buffet food. The decor was cute. It kind of gave mini golf vibes, & most of it felt new & renovated. The biggest downside was the food & paying extra for the dinner buffet. The snow crab legs seemed excited but they were SOOO salty, like you could only have 1 & it wasn't enjoyable. Maybe they intentionally do that so you won't eat too many but whatever the case it was disappointing. Otherwise, too much of the food was out for too long & was warm at most. You really have to dig to the bottom if you want something semi hot. Sushi was good, I'd love to see a fried sushi option though. Furthermore, the crab ragoons were soggy & not good either. As soon as you walk in the staff greets you and they sat us down immediately. They have a lot of seating areas which is great as busy as they were. The buffet was $18.99 a person which is not bad for all you can eat, they also have crab legs on the buffet at dinner time. There is an area with someone that you place the items you want in your hibachi on a plate and hand it to them and they will cook it in front of you, it was super delicious. They have a sushi area right beside the hibachi and the ones I tried were pretty good. The floor was super slippery in some areas, they did have wet floor signs up like in the one photo I posted, but it wasn't wet? It was like soap or oil. Went in @4:30 on Saturday (Memorial Day weekend). Place was slightly busy. Had to request 3x for them to replace the nasty, leftover, overcooked, soggy string beans... finally after @ 20 minutes they came out. This buffet has snow crab legs but they are on ice and soggy. They have blue clan crabs but they are tiny (barely the minimum). The service was OK, although the language barrier is difficult. (At our usual buffet the wait staff know basic words... here, we dropped a fork & asked 3 times for a replacement. We finally showed her the fork & then she understood. ) The food was very cold and overcooked for a buffet. I know that going to a buffet, I wouldn't expect a 5...but basic service, with food that is warm and not mushy? I wish I would have saved my $17! Came here opening day about two hours after they opened because I had a coupon. It was moderately crowded with several families already seated and perusing the buffet but I thankfully didn't have to wait to be seated at all. We used to be fans of this place when it was still Big Mouth Buffet, because we seemed to always catch them on good days for lunch. So glad to see it back! Place was clean, food was hot and fresh and a server came to refill my drink promptly. It's standard Asian buffet food, nothing to write home about unless you have a soft spot for places like this like I do. Food was good for the price, place was nice and clean, lots of choices but our waitress was beyond rude. We had intended on leaving a cash tip so on the credit card receipt we left the tip part blank. The server rudely brought our receipt back and showed us where a tip would go asking for a tip. We then said we would be paying the tip in cash to get her off our backs. Considering she was rude enough to demand a tip we went ahead with not tipping at all. When we got up to leave she confronted us and asked why we didn't leave any cash or a tip. We then told her that it was insanely rude to demand a tip and that we would've tipped her otherwise. She then walked in front of us and started speaking very loudly to a coworker in a different language in the walkway preventing half our group from being able to leave swiftly. Like I said we had intended on leaving a tip, but after being demanded to do so we then decided not to. My suggestion for this waitress is to not demand tips and to provide good service. read more
