Exceptionally and pleasantly deceptive! Upon walking in you think just typical quick stir fry take out. Unassuming simple straight forward take out chairs and tables. The menu is sophisticated and something for everyone. I chose the lamp hops that had been reccomended by the influencer on Instagram and she didn't lie. They were amazing, tasty and well prepared. The hibachi rice was very well seasoned and flavored, moist and plentiful. The 4 chops, rice and vegetables were amazing and I look forward to trying the shrimp and lobster next!

We been wanting to try this place. We had to find a parking spot. Once we did we decided to dine in and eat. My wife order the sushi taco. My daughter order the chicken hibachi with rice and ordered the shrimp hibachi. The food was good. They also make homemade juice which is super sweet. Overall it was a nice spot to get some hibachi,

Saw them at the Thursday farmers market and the nori tacos looked amazing: we made note to check them out later, having just eaten. Went to the brick and mortar location and tried two of the nori tacos. Both the tuna and salmon tacos had a shell of tempura cooked nori, which sounds kinda strange, but was amazing. My companion had the sushi tuna and I had the salmon. I didn't realize the salmon one wasn't sashimi--maybe wouldn't have picked that had I known, but it was so tasty. The tuna sashimi taco was fantastic as well. We both tried each others and felt either one would be good to order again. While the dining-in setting was kinda fast food (not best ambiance), we went to a nearby park for our mid-day feast. They were very filling, and again dang tasty.

I'm so happy we tried Hibachi Grill Express. It was a Sunday afternoon, we had been busy all day and not in the mood to cook. We decided to order in and this is what we chose. The menu is a little pricey, but worth it for the quality and amount of food. We had one order of beef, chicken, noodles and vegetables which turned out to be broccoli. Everything was flavored very well and cooked perfectly. I only wish there was a little more broccoli, but that's ok. We also had an order of delicious egg rolls, which was 4 total. We split the order for dinner and actually had enough leftovers for us to split the rest for dinner the next night. So one order of beef and chicken and one order of egg rolls ended up being 4 meals. Very worth the price. So happy we tried it and will order for them again.

Food was good, but I'm not sure it's a good value. I ordered the firecracker shrimp hibachi, which came with 7 shrimp, half noodles, and half fried rice. I opted out of stir fried veggies. I thought the plate was overpriced at $18, however. I also ordered a bang bang shrimp sushi taco, which was $10. Firecracker shrimp hibachi: 7/10; the shrimp were tasty, and the noodles were fine, but the fried rice was underseasoned. It was mostly white in color, and I had to add soy sauce. Bang Bang shrimp sushi taco: 9/10; this was a nice treat. I gave it a nine because I didn't eat the taco the same day. Rather, I ate it the next day after reheating it in the air fryer. Also, I don't like seaweed, but, surprisingly, the seaweed wasn't fishy. Service was good. The cashier was hospitable and knowledgeable. Ambiance is just ok. It's a small space with a handful of tables. It's intended for grab-and-go service. I didn't have problems parking because it was a rainy day, and not many customers. On a typical day, however, I imagine parking is a challenge.

We decided to try out Hibachi Grill Express since we heard about it from the Nori Guys booth at the farmers market. It was slam packed and we placed a to go order. I got the bang bang chicken with noodles and vegetables and we got a spicy tuna sushi taco. It wasn't until they were finishing up our food that they realized they didn't have any tuna. Was disappointed that I didn't get to try the spicy tuna taco but the bang bang chicken is more than enough to feed 2 people! The bang bang chicken and noodles were great but kinda pricey.

The staff were so lively. They helped me choose a plate in line with my preferences. The food took about 10 minutes to prepare and I enjoyed every bit of it. It didn't need any extra seasoning and the portions were generous. Parking isn't easy especially if going during lunchtime.

The service is fast, if you order in and wait you can see them make the food right behind the order counter. The ambiance was okay, probably would do take out next time. The food was pretty good! The sushi tacos are kinda expensive, but luckily they're also huge. The seaweed shell is super crispy and crunchy, and they put a lot of sauce on the tacos. I liked the salmon taco the best, but my friends all preferred the bang bang shrimp. The soft shell crab didn't have much flavor to it, so I wouldn't recommend it but I'm glad we ventured out. Overall, I'd come here again.

Sushi tacos were delicious! We had them at the French quarter fest! The nori shell is such a good texture! Fish was fresh!

The food here was delicious. This place is mostly for to go orders but they do have seating inside if you would prefer to dine in. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Only downside is parking is limited.

Man, this is a quick hibachi spot and I enjoyed it! The food is cooked to order. I got the steak & shrimp with noodles, pressure! I tasted the crab taco, that was really good! I even had the crab rangoon & those were good. Now that house made juice is sweet af & so good! It's kool-aid, so if you not a fan of kool-aid stay clear of that. They need to get fly traps or something bc the flys was attacking while we was sitting in there eating.

The location is nice. The staff was nice. The quality was not up to my standards. I hear so many great things about this place and was disappointed. My food had that rewarmed feel. I did not eat it.

My first time here and I'll definitely be back but only if I'm carpooling. They definitely need some parking, that's why I took off a star. Other than that, 10/10! I had the firecracker shrimp plate with noodles. The portions were huge. I had enough leftover for lunch the next day. The service was nice too. It seems like they prepare everything to order but the wait wasn't too long at all. It was clean with a few tables to dine in as well.

Food is NOT what it started out as. Rice is horrible. Extremely costly for such a horribly presented and tasteless plate.

Kenji Omakase will be a new annual special occasion go to. Japanese Omakase experience and style, a one of a kind food experience where every course is a harmonious blend of flavors, textures and eye appeal. The sushi chef talks you through each course after he places it on you platter. I asked if these were supposed to be eaten by hand if you wanted to, he agreed most people traditionally eat these that way. The flavors were buttery and tangy, textures delicate and sometimes a small crunch with fried scallions etc. We had tuna, ocean trout that was Similar to salmon but a different shade of orange, scallops and finished with waygu beef. It was amazing with each course the flavors seem to improve. A great experience, if you are any type of sushi fan or even on the fence, this could easily make you a sushi lover. I give this a complete recommendation. Try Kenji you will be very happy you did. The ambiance was fun also traditional Japanese. I may have Mis-named a few photos but know they are all just incredible journeys across your palate, hard to describe, melting with texture and flavors.

While holding my baby, I opened a door because we saw a sign stating that minors were permitted when accompanied by an adult. I remained at the entrance, did not step beyond the mat, and simply asked for menus and whether we could order sushi and be served outside. A brunette female bartender immediately and aggressively told us we could not be inside. I calmly explained that we had seen the sign regarding accompanied minors and were only trying to understand how to receive restaurant service. As we walked back outside, she said, "Read the fucking signs," under her breath, but loudly enough for us and nearby patrons to hear. My friend reopened the door and explained that we had read the signs but were confused. At that point, we decided to leave. However, as we were nearly off the property, the bartender rushed outside, screamed at us while pointing at the sign, and then slammed the door. The people seated outside appeared visibly stunned by her behavior. This was not a simple misunderstanding or a firm explanation of a policy. It was profane, hostile, and unnecessarily aggressive conduct toward customers, including a mother holding a baby. We were so shaken by the encounter that we left immediately. I have lived and dined throughout this city for 19 years and have never experienced treatment like this. I fully respect that establishments have rules, but customers should be able to ask for clarification without being cursed at, screamed at, and publicly humiliated. Management should take this incident seriously and review who was working behind the bar at the time. Regardless of how good the food may be, we will not return after being treated this way.
