Snow crab rolls and sushi
Patricia R.

I've been a fan of Sake for years and my visit tonight kept my love alive. It was happy hour and the food was delicious. We had fried calamari, edamame, gyoza, snow crab rolls and 9 pieces of tuna and salmon sushi and our bill was $30! I just feel like this is one of the best dinner deals in town. I'll be back again and again

Happy hour menu

We came here about 1 minute before happy hour. We were greeted and seated right away. The decor is beautiful, I really loved the architecture inside. Very relaxing and soothing feel. The waitress handed us the lunch special. But we asked for the happy hour menu, and it seemed like she didn't want to give us the happy hour menu. The expression on her face seemed to go from smile to aggravation, but maybe I misread? I arsed the others dining with me, and they all noticed a difference in her demeanor. She brought us the happy hour menu and seemed a little cherries than before. And we placed our orders. I have eaten sushi throughout the city, and although this sushi wasn't the worst. It wasn't the best. It seemed like the sushi was made with the bare amount of effort.. nothing really special. I have a feeling it might be because we asked for the happy hour special pricing as opposed to the lunch special. Or maybe they just have mediocre sushi. It was our first time dinner here, and we ate here a few months ago. I would probably come back for the ambiance and the drinks. But not gor the food.

Dinner bento box

I used to come to Sake pretty consistently for their happy hour menu. Haven't been in a while, but I came back and it was just as I remember! The service is still pretty fast and the ambiance is good for a quick, casual sushi lunch. I think you get your money's worth with the lunch menu and definitely for the happy hour menu! Perfect if you are looking for a cheaper sushi spot!! **happy hour is 3pm - 6pm daily and has discounted (it might be half off but I'm not 100% sure) selected appetizers, sushi by the piece, and basic rolls.

we've been to sake many times but it's been a while so decided to try it out for lunch. we ordered the shrimp tempura bento box and sushi. the service was average but the timing was quick. the bento box was large and contained a lot of items including soup, salad with ginger dressing, fried rice, california roll, fresh fruit, and shrimp and vegetable tempura. there's a lot of food and it was good flavor overall a good lunch option with lots of options

Popped in for lunch after an appointment nearby and it was such a great deal! Miso soup and 2 rolls for about 10 bucks. Food came out quickly and service was prompt. Would definitely return if in the area.

California and salmon avacado roll

Have been coming here for years and recently have gotten a full roll of avacado when ordering California rolls.

Japanese food that hits the spot. It's difficult comparing to the high quality Japanese food in Hawai'i that I grew up with but it's a great option when I have a craving for it! The bento box is definitely worth the price for the amount of food you get. The sushi is alright. My favorite is the tempura. You get shrimp and a great selection of veggies! The food options that remind me of home are limited but I'm excited to have Sake Cafe near by.

Best happy hour in Metairie! $3 wines by the glass, sake and beer specials. So many appetizer, nigiri, and sushi roll options! You can't go wrong.

Sake is probably my go to for sushi in the area. It's just good food. It's always consistently good quality. It's nothing amazing but I can always guarantee that I'll leave full and happy. Plus the sushi happy hour is always great! I did get hot food this time as well, and it's also consistently good. Service varies from shift to shift, but I've never had particularly bad service. They did mess up our order though this time.

This is a newer eatery located in a small strip mall on Airline. As expected, it's a casual,…read morequick-bites type of place. It's clean, reasonably priced, and located conveniently too! I tried the hibachi grilled shrimp, fried rice, snow crab salad, and a drink ($17 for the whole thing). It was good, zero complaints! It was 16 pieces of grilled shrimp on a bed of salad. The fried rice was well seasoned. The snow crab salad on the side in a little cup was pretty good too (yes, it's imitation crab, they can't serve real crab for that price lol) One thing to note, it's very casual here, so it is mostly self-serve. They will bring the food out to you, but you will have to get your own drink and bus your own table afterwards

You order from a Kiosk at the counter which I am not a fan of and it wasn't easy to navigate. Between all of us, we tried some sushi rolls, Hibachi fried rice with Hibachi chicken and shrimp. The chicken, shrimp and steak were all cooked good but the rice had no flavor. One of us had a fried noodle and steak bowl. The grandkids had the sushi dual combo which is really a good price and they loved it. The snow crab salad was good but a bit mushy. I think this would be a go to spot for anyone nearby who loves sushi. Very reasonably priced.

I initially thought I wanted hibachi, but within two minutes changed my mind and going with the…read moreAll-You-Can-Eat sushi (before the chef came out). One hostess seemed grumpy about it; the other rolled with it. I ordered my selections, and with a two-page menu, got a little carried away.... The food came quickly, and was generous. I have to say that the sushi was better than the appetizers. The tempura didn't quite taste like what I normally get, especially the onions: they just looked like regular onion rings (and I got fake crab, instead of shrimp, but mistakes happen). For the sushi, the fish was very fresh, and the pieces were generous, but the rice could have used a bit less vinegar, and the wasabi more kick. All the rolls seemed to come either with spicy sauce or eel sauce. I can't eat mayo, so eel sauce rolls it was. That ended up being a little heavy on the sweetness, but that on me for ordering too many rolls and not enough nigiri. If I had skewed the ratio more in favor of the nigiri, that would have been more to my taste. Again, that's my fault. All-in-all, very good, and I left full, for a very reasonable price.

Ok. This was a non-traditional hibachi experience. First the food was fantastic. Delicious…read more Incredibly good. But the service. The dragon lady that works the door. She is rude and mean and totally gave my wife a panic attack with her aggressive approach. Getting to the table, not so bad. Once we were there, drink orders, fine. Hibachi chef was nice, although he never did any of the fun chef stuff. He threw eggs at our faces. Literally. Then the weird. They wanted the unused salad and soup. We were like, no, I'll eat it later. She was focused on taking them. I had to move mine. We guess they re-use them? Then once we were eating the minute the salmon was placed, the last protein, the chef was packing up, she came around throwing packing boxes at us. She threw boxes and said," you pack! You pay! You pack! You pay! You go!" The other door lady stepped where the chef was and stared at everyone. We are used to being able to hang out and eat at hibachi. Not here. Oh, we needed a split check. She got really intense and was back and forth. We had to do the math and make her split the checks. We had a reservation, 6:30pm. Lots of empty tables. We only got about 40 minutes to eat after checking our Life 360. We are scared to return.
