It's not going to be the best you ever had in your life, and if you've been to Southern China, you're not going to be blown away. HOWEVER, it is the homemade taste that makes it good. It doesn't feel like any other restaurant, it feels like you are at somebody's house. Here's the thing, I came in expecting the usual Chinese food affair, but I left genuinely surprised and impressed. This restaurants specializes in Southern Chinese food, which is different from other regions. I am so happy this restaurant and its chains helps the cuisine gain exposure and adds depth to Chinese food in general. Even better, the menu is laid out in a way that it is easy to understand: gluten-free options, allergies, and spice level. The service was great. All though it isn't a "full" sit-down restaurant, everybody there seemed to know the menu well and was happy to be there. As a Cantonese person, it was nice hearing my language being spoken in the kitchen. The restaurant itself was immaculately clean and very modern. We came during early dinner time so the parking lot was near empty and easy to park. Overall, if you've never had Southern Chinese food or are looking for something more authentic than classic Chinese takeaway, definitely check out this location. The cherry on top are the big portion sizes and the price.

The staff was super friendly, and the broth was full of flavor. The noodles and toppings were cooked just right. I had the Black Garlic Tonkotsu, and my husband got the Umami Shoyu Ramen. Both were totally different but equally delicious. We also shared the Unagi Don for $6.50. It was really delicious and a perfect way to start our meal. They offer extra noodles or rice, depending on what meal you order, for under $5 if you're still hungry. But we were full after sharing the Unagi and each having our own ramen. It was more than enough and totally worth it. You can't make a reservation ahead of time, so expect a bit of a wait when you arrive. We were quoted 15 to 20 minutes, but it actually felt shorter. Since there's no indoor waiting area, you can wait in your car or outside, and they'll call your phone when your table is ready. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside at a booth, and it was really comfortable and cushy. We will definitely be back!

The staff is patient, calm, and still impressively quick, even during busy times. The restaurant has a very chill vibe with standard tables and chairs, plus a quieter side area with bar seating but I must note that it's just for sitting, since there's no bartender. I always order the sizzling garlic ramen because it's packed with flavor. When I want extra protein, I add tofu or chicken. And if a place has crab puffs on the menu, I'm getting them. I also recommend pairing everything with their iced lemon honey drink, which is super refreshing. Overall, I highly recommend checking out Noodleholics for some amazing food.

We arrived around 2:15 and staff was making it super clear to everyone that they closed at 3 so we needed to be out by then. Mentioning this not as a complaint at all because these folks work hard and closing time is closing time so I can respect that, but if you happen to arrive here less than an hour before closing time, your only options will be take away or eating outside at one of their tables. The Guilin Spicy & Sour was super hearty and the leftovers the following day were absolutely delicious. I really enjoy spicy dishes but in order to really appreciate all the flavors of the ingredients, I'd try the regular Guilin next time or see if the heat could be dialed back just a bit. Overall an 8/10. The Taiwan beef was a big hit too. That beef was so soft, it would just melt in my mouth. The veggies were cooked but still crisp, and those noodles were perfection; thick, not mushy at all, super tasty. And the next day it was even better! Mon-Thurs there's also a $1 drink (only certain drinks ) with any entrée special so we got a chance to taste the honey lemonade (tastes exactly like it sounds) and the iced milk latte (a bit too sweet but good).

Maybe about 8 or 9 tables with comfy seats all together and they were also running a brisk pickup and takeout service. Our server was wonderful. We made an order for the Mongolian beef, kung pow chicken , the eggplant in garlic sauce and the xian splash noodles. There didn't seem like there was anything she couldn't do. Those noodles are a chunky type noodle with some sprouts in a citrus tasting sauce the you need to mix up with the sauce to get it all over the noodles and was so delicious. It's something I have only seen here. Same with the eggplant. I know they say garlic sauce on the menu but it's really something else and unique to this kitchen. Whatever it is you must try it. The chicken and beef dishes were also excellent with unique flavors. Always satisfied with our meal here

Promptly seated, drinks brought out, order taken and food delivered fast, hot and correct. The background music was some chinese music tv station playing modern easy listening tunes and, along with the comfortable chairs and solid table made for a relaxing environment. The food? meh. You can see our order in the latest photo and how expensive it was. the Lo Mein was mostly tasteless and certainly lacking in thast "lo mein flavor." Although the meat was tender, the sauce was just a sticky brown sauce. Surprisingly, the Spicy Pickle Tofu was essentially the same sticky brown sauce as the Lo Mein but with some fried tofu in it and without the noodles but nothing otherwise remarkable. You can tell by looking at my earlier picture attached. The old picture shows a bright and colorful plate. The dish today was a dark brown (you could hardly see the tofu from the beef) as everything was just dark. Eggplant seemed to have a similar brown sauce as well but the eggplant was otherwise tasteless. Nothing popped. Chicken bites were bland and not at all crunchy. Just fried to soft texture but no real flavor. According to our server, the menu was just recently updated about a month ago. We noticed because one of our favorites was the Fried Taro Pie which is now gone from the menu and the server said yes, that's right. Maybe this place has a new owner or chef, but it's no longer in my top asian restaurants for Tucson.
