For entrees, we got Curry Chicken and Cumin Lamb. I'd never had Cumin Lamb before, and it rocketed to the top of my favorites list! It was gorgeously flavorful, fragrant, and spicy, warming as I ate. The spiced oil soaked into the rice, spreading the flavor to every last grain. It's really lovely and I highly recommend it. The restaurant is bigger than it appears from the outside, with a bright, cheerful ambience. Despite being busy, it never felt too loud, which was nice. The servers worked as a team and were very attentive. It was a great meal!

They offer extra noodles or rice, depending on what meal you order, for under $5 if you're still hungry. But we were full after sharing the Unagi and each having our own ramen. It was more than enough and totally worth it. You can't make a reservation ahead of time, so expect a bit of a wait when you arrive. We were quoted 15 to 20 minutes, but it actually felt shorter. Since there's no indoor waiting area, you can wait in your car or outside, and they'll call your phone when your table is ready. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside at a booth, and it was really comfortable and cushy. We will definitely be back!

The menu is extensive with descriptions of dishes on one side and pictures on the other. I should have taken a picture. We started with an order of pork and green onion dumplings. The wrapper was soft and stuffed full of the savory meat and onions. I think I prefer them fried, but we didn't think to ask. We decided to share an order of Mongolian beef and sweet and sour chicken. The beef was the most tender I've ever had and there was a lot of it. The chicken was similar to Korean fried chicken in that the breading was super crisp and the chicken inside very moist. The last time I was there, Jewel spoke no English and used a handheld translator to communicate. She doesn't need the translator anymore. Cool. I won't wait five years to go back.

You can see our order in the latest photo and how expensive it was. the Lo Mein was mostly tasteless and certainly lacking in thast "lo mein flavor." Although the meat was tender, the sauce was just a sticky brown sauce. Surprisingly, the Spicy Pickle Tofu was essentially the same sticky brown sauce as the Lo Mein but with some fried tofu in it and without the noodles but nothing otherwise remarkable. You can tell by looking at my earlier picture attached. The old picture shows a bright and colorful plate. The dish today was a dark brown (you could hardly see the tofu from the beef) as everything was just dark. Eggplant seemed to have a similar brown sauce as well but the eggplant was otherwise tasteless. Nothing popped. Chicken bites were bland and not at all crunchy. Just fried to soft texture but no real flavor. According to our server, the menu was just recently updated about a month ago. We noticed because one of our favorites was the Fried Taro Pie which is now gone from the menu and the server said yes, that's right. Maybe this place has a new owner or chef, but it's no longer in my top asian restaurants for Tucson.

I recommend to the split bowl so that you can try two different broths. We had the mild spicy house broth and beef broth. As others have said, the spice is no joke. It made me sweat but was so tasty. You pay for the broth base and then for each topping you decide to add and access to the sauce bar.
