Excellent! Food was great and service was too. Portions were large. Can't wait to go back!

Grand mariner shrimp

I've been here numerous times over the past 10 years and I'm never disappointed. Lunch specials are great. I usually stick to the same things cause they're so good!! I highly recommend the dynamite scallop appetizer and the stuff squid. Today I added beef & broccoli and grand mariner shrimp and I was not mad at all. Both dishes were really tasty. Great Groupon offers available too!!

Sashimi deluxe

A platter of fresh, flavorful sashimi + a bowl of tangy, sticky sushi rice earned Fuji its four stars. We were a group of 7 in the tatami room- cozy but comfortable in a restaurant catering mostly to Hibachi lovers and pretty well ignored by run-of-the-mill sit-down diners. They piped in more-than-background-volume Enrique Iglesias to our private room, which we found pretty funny. Overall, the service was fine, the decor was very dated (who cares) and the fish i ordered was simple- hard to mess up- but veryy tastyyy. White tuna, salmon, toro, octopus.... Our waitress encouraged us to shout "Ramune!!" as we popped open our japanese "marble sodas" so... that was awesome.

Drinks start off sooo nice

We were originally heading to Peter Chang's (now permanently closed). Yelp was down, so I had to…read morerely on Google Maps--and I'm glad I did! Service: Parking: Ambiance: Food: Menu: Value: Great--$$ with huge portions The menu is cleverly divided into thirds: New York-style Chinese food, Traditional Chinese food, and Japanese dishes (including an authentic sushi chef). The food was fantastic--fresh, flavorful, and plentiful. Portions were so large we had to take a ton home, which means another full meal tomorrow. Usually when I eat at a Chinese restaurant I leave a little hungry and end up grabbing dessert somewhere else--not tonight. I'm stuffed and satisfied.

Food was so-so and I think it's because of what I ordered that left me underwhelmed. It was a party of four. One ordered a speciality roll a salad and the spare rub appetizer. The salad is a green salad with ginger dressing. Standard fine. I tried one of the ribs it was fine meaty a little bland compared to others I've had. My appetizer was the yellowtail with jalapeño. - I didn't care for it. My entree was the whole crispy fish. I was looking forward to it my friend said her husband had it and loved. It came out and I was disappointed. I don't recall it saying on the menu that a sauce covered it. I wouldn't have ordered it or requested it on the side. It was a thick sweet sauce so parts of the skin took on a shellac texture. The inside flesh itself was bland so the dipping in the sauce helped but again underwhelming. Even if I had wanted it with sauce it was way to much sauce for the dish. The others in my party enjoyed their entrees I tried the Moo shoo pork which was decent. The tempura was fried perfectly not oily

So tonight after I went to nearby Orange Barber Shop for a haircut, I decided to go ahead and grab…read moresomething to eat. I had thought about Mainport which I don't mind but don't exactly think is the best thing since sliced bread, but for some reason I decided tonight would be the night I go for some Chinese. I haven't been to one in Norwalk ever since Great Wall closed down. If I had known what I was getting myself into, I would have just kept walking. So immediately when I went in, there was already a lot of people inside. It was hard to tell who was in line in this hole in the wall. They do have menus outside the door you can take to make your decision which helped, but it still took me 5-10 minutes before I realized I could just go ahead and order since, again, I didn't know who was in line. Oh, a little tidbit. If you coming in looking for buffalo sauce, please look elsewhere! I kid you not, a couple of girls who came in after I did actually asked if they had buffalo sauce. Yes. That question literally came out of their mouths, and made its way to my ears while I was waiting for my food. Oh, and speaking of waiting, I had a 20-minute wait after I finally ordered. It's not as long as some other reviews, but it was just enough to make me miss my train. Yeah. That's why I wouldn't have come here if I had known. I will also mention that the barber who did my hair tonight actually also came here while I was waiting. Make of that what you will. For my order, I had the General Tso's Chicken (S1) and the "Crabmeat Cheese Fried Wonton"... To quote Avril, "Why'd you have to go and make things so complicated"? Just call it a Crab Rangoon already! That's what every other Chinese Food joint calls it. It comes with rice and red sauce. Yeah... Let's start with the red sauce because I have a bone with that. When I opened my bag and saw how much I was given, that level of sauce was so low I just had to laugh. The container it was in wasn't even filled halfway with the stuff. And yet, the Rangoons themselves did such a poor job of mopping the sauce that I couldn't finish the sauce. That's not to mention that the red sauce when I did taste it was WAY too salty. Seriously, did the recipe call for a salt lick to be added in? It tasted like I was eating saltwater. As for the Rangoon itself, the flavor was okay, but nothing to write home. Honestly, I could say the same things for both the rice and the General Tso's Chicken, but I will add that the breading was so soggy that the chicken actually fell out as I was trying to eat it. I will say in its favor though that the price isn't terrible, and the service from the staff is fine. That is enough to keep it from a one star, but even though I would like to give it a two-and-a-half, I can't give this a three.

While at work, I was craving Chinese food and came across this place on Yelp. I decided to give it…read morea try. I ordered Pork Fried Rice and Boneless Spare Ribs. The food was prepared in about 10 minutes, and I found it quite enjoyable. The seasoning was well-balanced, and the meat was tender. Finding a good Chinese restaurant can be challenging, but this place met my expectations. I would be happy to return in the future.
