I was greeted by the employee at the cashier station as I entered the store. She asked me if I was familiar with the layout of the store and I told her I was. She them told me to just let her or one of the other associates know if I needed any assistance. I made my way over to the Men's Shoe Section and began looking for a pair of dress shoes. I found a really nice pair of Florsheim shoes that was almost $30 off their regular price. I said, "Sold!". I was really surprised the store was not busier this close to Christmas, so if you are not one who likes crowds, this may very well be a store you might want to check out!

She said she would go ask someone and then just never came back. Not a "sorry", "F you" or anything. Just avoidance. I just waited there for a minute talking to my wife and seeing if she saw anything she liked. The employee never returned. Eventually another staffe who I didn't even ask for help offered and even went to the back to look. She came back and apologized they were none in my size and was extremely kind. I did not catch her name but she had shoulder length braided hair. Thanks to her for sure but no thanks to the people who think lying to people and having them drive across town is how to treat people. Don't know what is up with the avoidance. I was all smiles when I asked. Maybe don't take a job working in public if you cannot communicate with people?

I ran my first local 5k race this morning and managed to come in 4th overall female and 1st in my age group. I immediately thought, "NEW SHOES would have made podium!" I was 9 seconds from it. My trainers were so worn out. I feel like I just purchased them but I've been using them for my runs and walks and knew it was time for a new pair. I walked over to Fleet Feet this afternoon to inquire about new insoles and shoes. Fleet Feet Plano provided the BEST service!!! We did a few measurements and reviewed my analysis then went over several options. The shoe I've ran in for years, a different model and a shoe with a larger toe box I'd wanted to try. Once selecting a new model we moved onto several insole options. I'm a Brooks girly through and through and stuck with this brand but a different model this go around. New city, new shoes, new model, new insoles! She's ready! Maybe in the coming months I can squeak out an overall 1st 2nd or 3rd haha ;) If you're in need of a great new shoe, you absolutely should come into this store. Highly recommend. This one is on the smaller side but still has a wide selection of products, although not as many duplicates on display. They do have frequent social runs as a bonus and even hosted a neat quarterly event with raffles from different health/fitness/restaurant vendors and a run with Hoka shoe demos. I always get my insoles from Fleet Feet due to their comfort, personalization, and durability and purchased one when they had a promotion. Unfortunately the staff member did not put the correct discount in and overcharged me, but after realizing and going back, they were able to fix it, although their tone in doing so suggested an attitude. The staff were very friendly when I was making the purchase, so I'm hoping it was a one time interaction. Overall great outreach with the running community and opportunities to try new products. Consistently good products, but hit or miss service.
