Let me start off by saying place is adorable. This is just a review for the to-go-box of 4 s'mores…read morefor $20. Absolutely not worth it. The kit comes with 4 small size regular marshmallows (nothing home made) and 4 TINY pieces of chocolate that wouldn't even cover one s'more. It's all Graham cracker one marshmallow and a smidge of chocolate. See photos. Yes they include a tiny bit of caramel sauce and peanut butter sauce on the side, but I'm sorry, these don't even make complete s'mores. More expensive ingredients...ok. But not including enough to make an ok s'more is odd. The Graham crackers are also run of the mill. Maybe try the s'mores made there? A take home kit your better off getting a bag of large marshmallows, higher end grahams and a nice block of fancier chocolate for $20. I have ZERO problem spending premiums on food and good ingredients...but this kit is a rip off do not do it.

I'm not really a s'mores person, but wanted to check it out since it was new. The owner (I presume) said they've been open for about 3 months now. Décor was cute inside. They have kits you can purchase or you can order individual s'mores. They have a vegan option too, so you'll have plenty to choose from. Good service. Small s'mores, but I guess the vegan and organic ingredients make them a bit on the pricier side ($7-8/s'more). Not complaining, just thought they would be a bit bigger. But I guess I don't need the extra spike in blood sugar anyway, so it's all good. The Classic was good. I ordered mine with oat milk chocolate. This place is still new, so hope folks check it out. It reminded me of a s'mores shop in Portland, Oregon.

My wife and I stumbled upon this place accidentally when we were hungry. We wanted to grab something easy for us to graze on. When we walked in, we were absolutely impressed by the cleanliness of the store and the very knowledgeable staff. A staff member took the time to explain to us all the items in the store, and we loved it! Before we knew it, we were buying one of their signature sandwiches, which had mortadella on it. It was absolutely flavorful and wonderful. We then had the charcuterie box for two people, which had a wonderful assortment of truffle-infused cheeses that were just tasty and perfect. Lastly, we had their tiramisu. It was perfectly creamy, just the right amount of coffee, and lightly sweetened. We loved it so much that we ended up going back the next day for more! This is absolutely one of those hidden gems! If you find yourself in the area, it's worth stopping by and grabbing a bite to eat.

Salami is healthy???? Yes! Angel's is the Best!…read more What the so-called medical and nutritional authorities are telling you is that processed meat like "salami" is bad for you. Given the nitrates and nitrites added as preservatives to regular mass-market salami that become nitrosamines in your system as you digest products that contain them are known to cause cancer, you should stay away from any processed meat products that contains them. What we are not being told is that fermented and cured meat products like traditional salumi, prosciutto, coppa and others are actually good for your gut and your health. The natural probiotics (typically lactobacillus) in the fermented meat will colonize in your gut and help to maintain and restore a healthy gut biome. Our pre-industrial ancestors ate a lot of cured / fermented meat since it was the only way to preserve it. Today, in many of the Blue Zones around the globe, centenarians happily enjoy cured and fermented meat products and live healthy lives into very old age. We are being told that the "Mediterranean Diet" is the gold standard - what we are not being told is that cured and fermented (not processed) meat without added nitrates and nitrites such as Prosciutto di Parma, Jamon and Salumi made the old fashioned way (like Angel's Salumi) is a staple of the Mediterranean Diet in Sardinia, Italy and France as well as Spain. The centenarians in Okinawa don't eat beef - they eat pork for their main meat source. Fermented foods in general are great for your gut! Sauerkraut, Kimchi, Kefir etc., along with fermented meat all contain good natural bacteria that helps to maintain a healthy gut biome which is 70% of your immune system. Angel's cured meats do not contain any added nitrates or nitrites - eaten responsibly, they make a tasty treat that's good for your gut. I love Angel's products and rarely leave reviews. I am a Stanford lawyer and have done a ton of research on Blue Zones, healthy aging and glucose / insulin management. My breakfast consists of a sandwich made from keto bread, Angel's Toscano Salumi, avocado, avocado-oil mayo and aged cheddar. My blood glucose levels do not change after eating that concoction of great tasting food! Keep up the good work!!!

I am not sure what I was expecting (maybe like a grocery store refrigerated and freezer section,) but I was surprised at how it was laid out. It was three aisles of the lower banks of freezers, with full wall freezer along two walls, and a few dry goods which makes sense because everything that they have is frozen at ideally the peak of freshness. It was very clean, looked a bit futuristic and was well coded. With different color signage to indicate where the poultry, beef, pork, seafood and prepared foods were. Easy to head to the section you were looking for. We looked around the store a lot and the folks who work there were very attentive. They asked us a number of times if we needed any help, answered any questions that we had, and even gave us some suggestions and background on certain cuts. We ended up going with some picanha, a couple other types of steaks, and a couple options of seafood. All the pricing was all very reasonable and now we have a fully stocked freezer.

I do miss the tuxedo custard mousse cake (or whatever it was called)--it was absolutely delicious. It's also a great place to grab lunch meats, fresh rolls, or bread for easy beach sandwiches. Best of all, the staff is consistently friendly and genuinely enjoys chatting with customers. Ordered the Small Boston White Clam Chowder ($6.99), 3 Piece Fish & Chips with fries ($21.99), and the Sea Bass Plate ($25.99) which came with two sides - opted for Spanish rice and black beans. The clam chowder was just okay and nothing particularly special. The sea bass with garlic butter was a little bland and definitely needed some hot sauce or tartar sauce for extra flavor. The Spanish rice also tasted like it had been sitting out for a while and was a little dry. I did appreciate that the black beans came topped with some cheese and were served in a little tostada bowl - a nice touch. The fish and chips were hands down the best thing we ordered. The fish had a super crispy batter and the fries were crispy as well. Definitely the standout of the meal. Pelly's is located in a shared plaza with Ralphs, so there are plenty of parking spaces available. Both indoor and outdoor seating and it's a counter-service setup where you order at the counter and they'll bring the food out to your table.
