I shopped at this location on 10/23/25 - Thursday night at 8PM. The security was stalking me and would not stop staring at me. As a smaller woman being followed by a man - regardless of if it's security or not - made me feel unsafe. I've heard this same thing from a peer of mine. This is an issue. I went to Albertsons for the $5 Friday sale on Top Ramen. I grabbed a couple of cases since they were out of singles, and it's easier to store them that way. I asked a lady at self-checkout if she could help me ring them up. She said I could only do the chicken flavor that way. That didn't make sense, so I decided to go through a lane and double-check with another employee. That guy (Pat) said no to both. I told him the lady at self-checkout said I could do it for the chicken, so he had to go track her down to ask her. Then he said it has to be 25 or more. I had 36. He rang up 25 and said that was the 25 limit. I asked where it said that, but he couldn't find it. Then he said it had to be in increments of 25. I asked where that was stated. I told him to try ringing up another one just to be sure, and it scanned for 20 cents like I thought. It feels like they just want to argue and lie at every turn. I always make a special trip on Fridays for their $5 sale and usually get burned because they're always out of the items. It seems as though they put a minimum number of sale items out just to get you in the store. Why can't they keep their sale items stocked? Why can't they ring one up from the larger pack and enter the quantity? They can, but don't want to be bothered or don't really want to sell them at the sale price. That ramen was the only reason I went in since my daughter's choir teacher pays out of his own pocket to always have ramen in his room for the choir kids who hang out in his room at lunch. I wanted to help by buying him a bunch. It just makes me mad when they lie and make things up as they go. This is the Albertsons I shop while we are in Carlsbad each summer. It's been updated, it's clean & easy to get in and out. They have everything you need. It's across the street from a huge Walmart so you can hit both stores if you need to. I'm not a Walmart shopper but I know some are... 6ft rule applies, you can't get in a check out line until the employee lets you know it's ok. Mask are required & hand sanitizer at the door. Employees are very friendly & efficient Plenty of parking. read more

My sister and I decided we were going to try the online order because we are both disabled. The service sucks. We asked that our order always chine with a receipt and it doesn't. We order medium items we get larger. We order cottage cheese ( not lowfat) and we get low fat. They also take it upon themselves to give u the most expensive cut of meats. Numerous times we have fine into the store and complained with the same thing happening. They comment that the delivery will arrive between 7 and 9 at night and never let us know that our order is on the porch. One night they came at 9:45 knocked on our window and left. I like so many things about this store - shelves are generally well stocked, good beer selection, fresh produce, friendly checkers - but I finally felt compelled to write a review because of the bakery. I just got my husband's 40th birthday cake here and it was definitely comparable, probably even better, than some of the stand-alone bakeries in the area. They used fresh strawberries for the filling, frosting was not overly sweet and my request for "a beer glass" as the decoration exceeded what I was even envisioning. Oh, and the price was amazing for the quality. I got my older son's cake from here as well and I'm pretty sure all my future cake orders will be from here too. It's a hidden gem! read more

I am a frequent shopper here and have been sooooooo impressed with the quality of the cakes here. I have had special orders and they have been fabulous. I was recently referred her to have them do a boutineer and a corsage for my son and his girlfriend and then I had another corsage made for my daughter from her brother. THEY WERE ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!! And...the price was fabulous. $25 for each corsage and $10 for the boutineer. So beyond impressed with how beautiful they turned out for that price. I will return for every single prom and dance for my kids. The florist was so so so nice to me as was the person who helped me pick them up after hours. A+ service from beginning to end. read more

I went in the other day in a hurry to order balloons and to get a few things in the produce dept. There were many balloons to select from and the employee, Donna was very patient with me. Not only that, she even suggested some other balloons (which I loved, marbleized look). She said if I had any other shopping to do to come back and they will be ready. So off I went looking for the limes and employee, Abel showed me the way, but suggested I try the key limes out and even showed me why. He sliced a key lime in half and showed how much juice came out of a little slice and asked me to also taste it. I was sold! After renovation this Albertson is a place to go for shopping, but for me it's Friday's $5 sushi (always California Roll Deluxe). Starbucks coffee is meh, you have to go to real Starbucks on College. Prices are on a higher side, but selection is good, and service is outstanding. So occasionally, when there is no time to go to Bressi Ranch (Sprouts, Trade Joe's & Stater Brothers), this location will do. read more

If you are looking for a horrible experience then by all means go to the bakery at this Albertsons and order a cake. So bad and they do not listen or follow the request. Ordered a bright pink and green cake with whipped icing. This cake looks like someone threw up green alll over. Whole thing tastes like the regular icing.. that is how much piping is on this cake. If i wanted a green cake would have ordered it this way. When i pointed this out nicely they said oh well maybe next time. Im done.. at least most if the rude ones are gone. Update response to Albertsons: i let your awful bakery team know when I was there to get the cake that directions were not followed. They did not care and told me maybe next time. It's your typical Albertson's, but what made this one stand out was the customer service was good and employees were very nice. Also, the store looked clean. I always find what I need here! The employees are always helpful and their bakery always puts out great looking cakes, packaged and customized. Clean and organized shelves which is awesome. You can find fresh fruits and vegetables in their huge produce area and they also have a large selection of seafood in their Seafood/Meat counter. They also have a Starbucks in this location which is a double win for someone who needs the extra boost of caffeine for shopping. One of the best grocery stores around. The veggies here are always fresh and stocked up. The fresh produce is always tasty. We recently got the chicken kabobs and grilled them. Very good. I really like shopping at this Albertsons because it's so close to home - and anything to avoid the dreaded Wal Mart. This location is your typical grocery shopping experience. Although, I have to give a shout out to the lovely woman who helped us out when we accidentally dropped a bottle of cooking sherry at the self-checkout, making a HUGE mess. I think Melissa was her name? She is a redhead with a superior personality; she was on it in the blink of an eye, even calling another employee over to grab us a new bottle. After returning home from doing some light shopping at this location, 3 items. I discovered that I was over charged $12.99 for a can of wine spritzer. So I returned to the store, more in principle than anything else. I approach customer service, provided the receipt and the unopened beverage and explained to the employee about the overcharge. He told me that that 12.99 didn't seem unreasonable and he proceeded to argue with me. Finally he called the alcohol manager to do a price check. The alcohol manager looked at the receipt and argued that the 12.99 was for something else. Finally after going over the entire receipt of 3 items he agreed that I was probably overcharged. Finally he does a price check. The item was supposed to be $4.49. So we return to the front and he tells customer service to refund me $8.00. So basically I paid $4.99 for a 4.49 item. I was so over it by this point I didn't argue. Most any other store would have refunded the entire price. Albertsons pull your head out! read more

I had a horrible experience today at both the Starbucks and the deli. Here's why I'm giving them a 5. I told the young lady that checked my order out. Said to her: this isn't your fault, I'm hoping you'll mention it to the manager so he can do some coaching. I was taking my cart back and here comes the manager.... he asks if I'm the lady that had a bad experience.... I said yes. Then Wow, that was quick... He apologized for my experience. Said he would use it as an opportunity to let his team know how they should respond etc. The fact that the cashier felt it was important enough to call the manager right away, and that he came to find me r get away in the parking lot tells me this was a one off. That's it's a well run store. I shop there every week and I avoid the Wally World across the street like the plague.... I will continue to be a loyal customer. read more

I went into the Albertson's Quarry Creek Sunday afternoon approximately 2:05. I waited 2 minutes before Lusa said she would be right with me. Trudy, the other person in the department was loading the chicken fryer. Lisa was slicing deli meat. I watched her slice at least 6 different meats. I was the only person waiting to be helped. This review is only for cashier Victor's complete lack of empathy and customer service to an elderly, handicapped man who was in front of me in line today. The man looked to be in his late 80s and had an oxygen tube under his nose. He bought 3 cases of soda, and Victor let him know that he would need 5 cases to get the sale price. The man said OK, he'd take two more. Victor charged him and then the man asked, "Should I get them myself?" and Victor said, "Yes, that way you can choose the ones you want." (The man had already said he'd take two more cases of 7-Up.) I looked around to see if they were especially short-handed but there were two people bagging at other registers. I ended up helping the man once my purchase was complete. I would be seriously bummed if someone had treated my father or grandfather that way. Why be like that Victor? read more
