The concrete was in need of repair. Not only did I rehire him, but in a lapse of judgment, I paid him before he did the work, based on his previous work ($1800), to repair the stairs. The work this go-round was terrible. As most people enter the house through the side or back door, I saw pictures of the stairs 6 weeks after he was done in 2026 and could compare them to the repatch pictures he sent me. I sent him pics of the stairs with cracks in his patchwork 6/18./26. He said he would get to it "end of next week". He actually repatched stairs 7/12 /26. The overall redo job was so terrible that I have hired someone else to try to start over, beginning with undoing his work . Lesson learned .
