This rainy season pounded the gutters with serious rain, and much to my chagrin, organic detritus even though most of the trees around my house are shorter than the roof. THANKS WIND! Feeling pretty good, I opted for a soft wash around the dormers because, hey, I'm a boss. The tech was on time for the appointment on the promised day, finished the job in around 2.5 hours, and showed me a few photos of the results. Now, I'm writing this while high off the concept of clean gutters, but from the sections he showed me, I trust the rest looks just as nice. I guess I'll know for sure during the next storm. I'm one of the owners of a large Victorian house converted to condo units. Our slate roof is very high and in order to service the gutters (which have not been cleaned for over five years) , HiCleaners used 48' ladders. Most other local licensed gutter services do not even have ladders that tall. HiCleaners did an outstanding job, removing the downspout elbows to unclog the debris, banging all along the vertical drains to clear them, and reattaching one of the downspouts. Communication was very responsive and professional. The crew was excellent - punctual, courteous, expert. The price was a bit higher than others I contacted, but those others were unable to get the job done and wasted our time, so I feel HiCleaners were well worth the money. We asked to have our house power washed. I asked specifically about the detergent that would be used because of the old plantings that we have near the house. Instead of the promised True Green product that does not damage plants, they used a Pool Shock solution full of bleach. I asked the guy doing the work about the detergent and he told me that it was not a problem for plants. Bottom line, the house is clean but the plants are burned or dead and the lawn has 2 foot burn marks where the product spilled out of the machine. I called and talked with Ivan and he said that there must have been a misunderstanding and bleach was not to be used. Great words but the plants and grass are dead. Other than that detail, they were perfect. Ivan read this post and was very upset that such a mistake had been made by his employee. Ivan offered to return the money charged and provide a free gutter cleaning for the trouble. I guess that mistakes can be made and it appears that Ivan will work to make sure that it doesn't happen to another customer. read more

Updating to note that I was refunded and I was upfront with Ivan that I was unlikely to change my review. I should have gone to Yelp the first time I had issues- I am receiving more calls now than I did when I actually wanted them to come back. I was uninterested in having them out a third time when the second visit was an utter nightmare to schedule. It is untrue that I scheduled an appointment or that anyone rang my doorbell before coming to my property. I was expecting a call back to schedule the appointment. When the person finished my gutters, he rang my neighbors door (duplex) and never spoke to me. And yes, someone did stop by and randomly chatted with- again, not me!- my neighbor and said he did not have time to complete the work. And then did not show up the next day. After a winter chock-full of massive icicles and a couple gutters that froze solid, I requested some quotes via Yelp's Request a Quote. While Ivan from HiCleaners had the lowest quote, he also didn't give me any trouble about not having an easily accessible roof. They were booking a month out since it was nearing spring, but we were willing to wait. A week before our scheduled cleaning, Fabian called asking if he could stop by since he had an opening.
