We are so grateful for friends who encouraged our stay there! We hope to go back next summer and every summer. I understand why our friends call it their "Happy Place" .. So, so much good stuff about The Ledges. We stayed in the Harbor House, one of the twin, floating…read morehouses. It was lovely. It was pleasant to watch the "small" boats coming in and out of the harbor while hanging on the deck. Nearly all of them were respectfully quiet and waited to turn on their speakers till they were a distance away. Even more fun was watching the freighters go by on the river. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. The view from the small section along the shore was stunning, with sunset views of Boldt Castle. The pool was clean, fire-pits were well stocked, and there were plenty of sturdy outdoor seating areas. I am not sure if Nick is the owner or manager, but he answered all of my pre-trip questions quickly and accommodatingly. In person, he was friendly and helpful. There were several thoughtful touches in the house. For example, a lovely cart to help transport our luggage from our car. After rearranging the furniture a bit, we had enough space to be perfectly comfortable. I was so close to deciding on five stars (especially to balance out the low ratings here...which I have a hard time understanding). However, a few things: The windows of our bedroom were filthy with bird poop (I imagine they are very tricky to clean and can only be done occasionally). The doors, floors, and table tops were sticky (from cleaning products, maybe?). The road has a dangerous, curving blind hill. I'm not sure anything could be done about it, but it is important to be aware of it when approaching. Out of the control of the owners and managers is the attitude of the neighbors. They appear to believe that it is acceptable to blare music from early morning till late at night in an attempt to keep the geese off of their yard. The ridiculous volume and the flood light shining at The Ledges were shockingly rude, but not the fault of The Ledges. Overall, I'm grateful for an absolutely beautiful spot to enjoy a lovely long weekend with our friends, and would likely go back. Thank you Nick and the rest of the staff!

We had one of the weekly rentals, we had everything we needed for a great week. The pool was a refreshing option after a day out sightseeing. Location is great with proximity to all sorts of activities- Wellesley island, TI park, mountain climbing (some driving required for this one), Canada, white water rafting in Watertown.

We were fortunate enough to come at a time where there were no other guests there, so we had the whole place to ourselves! Check in was very easy, and Vicky is absolutely amazing! She was so helpful during our stay and made some absolutely delicious breakfasts. The first morning we had peach French toast with breakfast sausage. The second morning we had a bacon and cheese omelette with avocado toast. I for the life of me cannot remember the name of the room we stayed in, but it was so nice. There was a massive bed with a canopy over it, that was oh so comfortable. There was a fire place that could be turned on and off, that was nice to have in cold October. The bathroom was also so spacious, with a stand up shower and a jacuzzi tub. The house has this quaint elegance to it, and they have so much for you to do there. They have a bunch of different puzzles and board games you can play. They have a lot of older books you can read in their little library. They also had a TV that you could watch. The house is also sat right next to the Thousand Island Club golf course. They had two bikes my wife and I were able to ride around the area on. We absolutely loved our time here at the Hart House. And we have already been trying to plan a trip to come back!

When the package arrived in Florida, UPS made an error and sent it back to the winery. That's when Patty at Thousand Islands Winery became a true Christmas angel. She stepped in immediately, handled everything with such care, and made sure my gift was rerouted to ensure delivery. Her kindness and dedication turned a stressful situation into a wonderful experience. Thanks to Patty, Thousand Islands Winery has now made a big splash in Florida too. I already adored their wines, but now I love everything about this establishment, the quality, the service, and the people behind it. Highly recommend, every time.
