Experience while living there was great. Relatively quiet, maintenance requests were done pretty well, gym was clean and nice, as well as the pool. But this place wasn't the cheapest but we were stuck with the property management company because we moved from out of the area mid-lease. We didn't mind that, because we'd had a great experience at that apartment complex and the little extra money there was worth it. When we moved out of Hidden Cove was the problem. I requested a walk-through prior to moving out on the website, and had my wife stop by the office to schedule it. No response to the website and no one was there when my wife went during the day. I called in about a week prior to moving out and they said they couldn't schedule them that quickly. This should have been a red flag, because they have to be done within 2 weeks of moving out. We spent the next week meticulously cleaning the apartment hoping to get back our security deposit. Once we moved out, we were sent an itemized bill for cleaning and painting of the apartment, and $300 on top of our entire security deposit. The cleaning and painting could not have been for anything beyond normal wear and tear since we were there for a year and cleaned thoroughly before we moved out. So I called the apartment complex to ask what damage there was BEYOND NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR that required a professional cleaning and complete repainting of the apartment. According to the California Department of Consumer Affairs, I'm only liable for damage beyond normal wear and tear. They said they would get back to me with the walkthrough they did after we moved out. No response. Then, within a week, their corporate management company called me asking for the $300. I asked for the statement showing damage beyond normal wear and tear that I was liable for, and she said she would get back to me. No response. I received another call a week thereafter, stating that I owed $300 or I would go to collections. I told her the situation, and she assured me that she would not send it to collections until this was resolved. The next day, a collection agency called me, and I could not get hold of anyone at the complex or the corporate office. I asked the collection agency to give me a day to straighten this out with the apartment complex, and they were fine with that. The office was closed when I drove by, and I could not get hold of anyone the next day by phone. I was stuck paying the $300 or risk a strike to my credit which is problematic while trying to buy a house. No sooner had I made the payment, within 5 minutes the same original itemized bill was emailed to me showing the cleaning and painting stating that was the best itemized list of damage they could give me - and it wasn't a list of damage at all. Only a bill for painting and cleaning. I wish I had left this place a wreck so I could have at least gotten my money's worth and not expended the energy of cleaning. This is absoluting the worst place to live. Do not let the fact that it seems clean and quiet during the day. There are loud parties. The police are here constantly. And they will be out to get you if you decided to leave. I have had my car in my spot towed twice since telling them I am leaving. The property mangament company here is horrible. read more

I moved here with my boyfriend who is in the Marines. We had a 1 bedroom upstairs apartment at Hidden Cove II. I absolutely loved this apartment. It has beautiful flooring, updated kitchen, huge bedroom, high ceilings, and a large balcony. Everything about the stay was pleasant other than my downstairs neighbor saying she can hear just about every movement we make. They upkeep the facility, it's fairly quiet (other than the loud music at the pool that starts playing at 8:00am every morning). Everything was great until the move out. For being a large military community, this complex is not military friendly. My boyfriend got orders for Kuwait and so I took care of breaking the lease while he was gone. They do two move out inspections, one two weeks before the move out and one at the move out date. The one two weeks prior is to insure that all damages are taken care of. The only "damages" I had where 4 small holes in the wall where the tv stand was. The guy who inspected said "if a pen can go through it then we charge for it". Well a pen could not go through those holes regarding how tiny they were. I still spackled and sanded them to make sure. Also, they wouldn't accept my return of the keys a few days before the actual move out date. They said I could mail the keys in to make sure they received them on the date. Lastly, the move out charges for utilities were EXTREMELY high. It was $300 for all final utilities. I've lived in a few places and $300 is not right. I don't spend more than 10 hours at my place because of my job so how I racked up $300 of utilities is beyond me. The deposit was $750, they took the $300 utilities, $280 repairs for "damages" (the 4 holes), and $105 mandatory cleaning fee. We have about $90 left to a $750 deposit. I was so happy with this place until move out and these unnecessary charges. They made it hell to deal with this as my boyfriend is overseas on a completely different shift than I am and cannot be contacted immediately. This is not military friendly and they charge an arm and a leg to move in and move out. I recommend a different community. read more

Lol... I guess that's the thought that runs through my head when asking myself how can they label it as a luxury apartment. 1st off throw the lease out the window because even though you sign for. Specific amount every month expect 200-300 EXTRA charges. Such as pest control(never saw them come to our place once) and other add ons! Than let's talk about how you have to pay for a parking spot that isn't guaranteed. Next let's bring up the fact that my water has smelt like straight sewage since 1 month after I got here. You want maintenance to come out well that's going to be a HIDDEN CHARGE on your monthly rent bill of $25-50. And after they leave two days later the smell comes back it's so bad if you take a bath you just smell sewer water. Hidden coves should be hidden charges.. it's a straight joke. EVERYTIME I go to do my laundry all but TWO washers and dryers are "out of order" the gates are always broken. I was stuck in the complex for two hours before someone fixed the gates. I'm warning you I LOVED the idea of luxury living save yourself and wallet and go to grand a few streets down and save almost 1000$ for the EXACT same experience .... read more

I have lived here for almost 4 years, have been a loyal resident, I am a veteran and I can say with out a doubt this place has gone down hill. With recent new manager Christy Arnold this place is now run like a Nazi camp. She is rude and has no compassion for her residents. I will start with the "pros" of Hidden Cove Apartments that I have encountered. The ladies in the office are very nice including the male, I also greet maintenance anytime we cross paths. I have never had a problem with other residents, noise, or anything along those lines. No bugs. I am usually able to grab a parking spot near my apartment because I do not pay extra for my own spot. I have been warned twice for parking in Future Residents, thankful that I did not get a ticket or towed. Now just some aspects that I am not particularly complaining about because I had the option to observe before moving in however, others should be aware of. The apartments wood floors are very cheap and collect a lot of dust easily, A LOT. I came across mold around the bottom of bathtub. They waste a lot of water with sprinklers running being that there is barely any grass (most goes on sidewalk). The water from the faucet smells like sewer water sometimes. Overall just very cheaply made. The pools arent very clean or as clean as they could be. The laundry room is usually disgusting unless you get in right after they clean, hair and grit under the black strip of the washers, also the washers only carry about half of a regular "load" and that still barely gets your clothes clean. Washer is 1.50 Dryer is 1.00. Not worth it at all. I have not had an issue with my clothes being stolen however, i usually go to Grand Laundry. "Gated community" yet very easy for others to get in, a couple gates stay open. Now to what has pissed me off. I am ending my lease early and just recently about 3-4 weeks ago I had a flood in my apartment. I woke up for work and the kitchen was about 1-2 inches high of water as well as living room, storage closet, and coming into the bathroom and bedroom. It apparently was the neighbors fault, not exactly sure. I was not "charged" for any damage, however the water was half ass cleaned up. A day later I noticed water damage in the wood of the counter. Fast forwarding to the day where i was told that i would have to stay in a hotel and would be reimbursed for up to 150. As I did, came back the next day from work expecting things to be done, I walk into my apartment still being completely in process of getting the water out of the walls. So instead of being called ahead of time that my apartment would not be done and i need to stay another night, I had to be told in person after driving all the way back. As you can see no communication which i will often bring up after being understanding to everyone there multiple times. I turned in copies of my hotel receipts around October 20th. As of yesterday, November 7th, after coming in every other day and speaking to everyone except the only one who knows what i am talking about, I found out that my "reimbursement" was applied to the rent which was never discussed as an option. Again no communication as well as when I asked if I could get my lease ended earlier than my original date or have some money knocked off because I came in one day while the painters were still working to my door wide open, Air conditioning on and all of my lights except for the bedrooms ON. And i wish i would have taken a picture of the mess that they made my apartment into after throwing everything from the living room into my bedroom and not putting it back. I do not need to be contacted or have some lady reply to this comment with sorry bullshit. This review is so that others can be aware of a situation that should not have happened. Again very nice ladies, however that doesn't matter to me if you cant even take the time out of your day to communicate with your residents unless its in regards to late rent or whatever benefits you. I have been living here for about 7 months now and I cannot wait to leave! At first the living experience wasn't so bad, now it's become nearly impossible to have a good nights rest. This is the second time I have had the WORST upstairs and management not doing a thing about it. At first it was a bearable normal arrangement then turned in to a 'he said, she said' situation. We had Police reports, and videos of everything that had gone on and it seemed those were ignored. Managements' idea of resolve is telling each party what they want to hear in term causing a vicious cycle. We were being told it was fixed and our upstairs neighbor was being told that they weren't an issue. While my main issue with my living experience came from entitled, obnoxious neighbors with no sense of consideration what so ever, I was disappointed with the way each situation was handled seeing we never got any resolve regards to it. Thankfully we have to leave the property early otherwise this would have gone to a legal level. Be weary these walls and ceilings are thin! So expect a lot of noise! The other issues I had was the quality of the apartments themselves. I feel they were very hastily remodeled and a lot of smaller details (that caused bigger issue in the long run) were over looked due to trying to get other tenants in as quick as possible. The actual wood floors our nice but not worth what you pay. The maintenance team I must say is fantastic and prompt. They have gone above and beyond to correct the issue and go out of there way to be careful and attentive. The other issues, is we literally get nickle and dimed to death! Parking is absolutely atrocious and YOU pay for it! a month! (of course if you opt out you are stuck to street parking which depending what units you are stuck on what scarps of the street their are and competing with the other houses). We had to upgrade our parking just to ensure that we got a space! That was an extra $20 a month added to our utilities, which wasn't fair considering we were already paying for one. We also have a supposed "24 hour security" that's included. I have only seen the physical person ONCE. The rest of the time it's been a car parked in different parts of the neighborhood with no one inside. We have had an attempted break-in AND a car part stolen off our vehicle. Unacceptable. The last I would say is the problem with our units is the left dog poop! We get a lot of the outside residence surrounding the units walking their pets and leaving the poop! People even from our community leaving poop by our units. For the price you pay for the units it is NOT worth it. There are some way more affordable or equally expensive places in San Diego where the people are way more considerate and worth the price! This place, unless you have a necessity because of work RUN!!!! read more

my family and I have lived in these apartments for 6-7 months now and have had roaches since and management refuses to take care of them. we have 100s nightly! i advise if you plan on getting an apartment with this complex that you have them spray several times before moving in and ask neighbors if they have roaches. They have only sprayed our apartment and not joining apartments so they keep coming back to our apartment! read more

Worst apartments ever!!! I lived there for 8 months and everything seemed to be a problem. The office staff was nice prior to moving in but after that I couldn't get them to return a phone call if my life depended on it. The apartment always had issues, washer and dryer broke 3 times, toilet over 3 times, water leak which they just painted over, dishwasher broke, lights broke, closet doors etc. they would sometimes fix it immediately and other times I had to complain several times. They charge for regular parking, water and trash cost more than a 4 bedroom house in the area, super noisy neighbors and dogs that constantly bark, trash everywhere etc. there r no lights in the back of the apartments (where I lived) which made it unsafe when coming home late. Now that I'm moving out they charged over 200 bucks to reprint even though the per move in paperwork says "stains on walls" so apparently I'm responsible for previous owners???? It he apartment is perfectly cleaned and still being charged form cleaning???? To top it off the office was very rude, unorganized and can't evn newer basic questions. Bottom line......I wouldn't recommend them to my worse enemies. read more

At first I really like the place due to location even though I'm paying $110 for 2 small dogs, $30 for parking space with carport + $10 parking space without carport, plus $50-70 water and garbage every month in addition to our monthly rent. We never complain even though our neighbors upstairs keep on stumping the whole day or even in the middle of the night. Unfortunately they raised our rent from 1272 to 1399, that's a big impact on us financially since I am pregnant and currently on disability due to preterm labor and my husband is working per diem. I asked them that we will stay for another 6 months more because it will be difficult for me to pack and unpack since I'm 6 months pregnant but they told me that their 7 month term is 2469/ month!!! Who's person in the right mind will pay for 1 bedroom 1 bath, bathroom inside the bedroom and no washer and dryer for 2469/ month! I was really upset. My tears fell while talking to the staff. I feel so insulted. They doesn't care. No consideration at all. We have no choice but to move out. Where are these people's heart? read more

THIS PLACE IS A JOKE. I have never left a review on any business or anything else on yelp, but my "customer service" has been so bad I need to let people know to never rent from this place. you will regret it. Lauren is the least capable person to be the manager, she does not care about you she only cares about the money you give her and how to save a buck. first off, my roommate started having issues with the gate opener remote so he went to the office and got a new one, and it worked fine for about a week until he had to go back in and get another one. He has had to do this almost 5 or 6 times through out our time here. Then about August or September we had a bed bug infestation which we were both living out of the apartment for more than a month, which we were not only not compensated for, but we had to pay the utilitys due to the fact that we pay water and electricity is an average based off the building that we live in. The management had their pest control company come in and do 3 treatments, each 1 week apart. After the third treatment, I was starting to but things back in order and found a live bed bug on one of the mattress. So they had to do another treatment. Another demonstration of poor customer service was that the maintenance team removed the outlet covers prior to the treatments, and after everything was all done I had to go to the office and ask if they were planning on reinstalling them. later that day they reinstalled them. Then Lauren tried to be the hero and said that she was going to try and wave the bug mans treatment fees except it will probably come out of my deposit. More recently we noticed the garbage disposal was not working along with the outlet behind the sink. We put in a service request and a day or 2 later i come home to a service repair order on out counter saying: verified outlets now working, corrected power issue and verified outlet proper operation. When I tried to use the garbage disposal it still did not work. In the mean time, we have had to use an extension cord to an outlet that has power just to operate the disposal. After finding that it still does not work, I called in to put in a service request for the issue and they said they would be in the next day, however no one showed up. So yesterday I went in to inquire about the service request and the guy I spoke to said they have no record of that call or request, but he would put a request in right away and they should get to it tomorrow. I also wanted to put in a notice for leaving once the lease is up, only to find out that the lease is 15 months not 12, which is news to me. Today I get a voicemail while at work stating that the maintenance team could not get into the apartment because the key they have does not work and we need to set up a time when we can let them in to do the work. On top of everything else i have stated, i get home and find that out refrigerator does not work. All of our food in the freezer and fridge has spoiled. read more

Me and my partner have been living here since 2011 and we have had nothing but problems, he maintenance people take forever to fix something were VERY slow !! and security !! doesn't do anything except walk around on there phone can't do nothing shit !! This place is a flat joke. Vertical blinds and popcorn ceilings for way too much money. Office staff always changing and no one has a clue what they are talking about. They make you send rent to Colorado or through automatic payments online totally sketchy. Oh not to forget the water heater that beeps hours on end and they have claimed to fix it 3 times but it still goes on. Lived here 1 year and there was construction the whole time. This is my husband and I's third move within the past 2 years... so we've had a few experiences to compare to. We just moved here all the way from MA on the east coast, and have had a great experience so far. Our leasing consultant Ricardo has been very helpful throughout the whole process of our big move. It was a little scary because he didn't fly over to Cali to look at apartments, we just went with our gut and research. We were pleased when we got here. The complex is really nice, our apartment was nice and clean and upgraded. Our microwave didn't work, but they replaced it within the next day. The only negative I'd have to say so far is that parking is scarcely available in the evening if you don't have a car port. We also ended up getting our rental car towed because we parked in what we now know is called a "red zone" with a red curb. (we don't have that on the east coast, there's always signs that say don't park here, and there wasn't one in the spot we parked) Mainly our fault I guess for not knowing Cali driving rules, but it would have been nice to get a heads up since there were no signs like in the other spots because that $235 hurt. There's not much I can complain about though. Leasing staff has been nice and helpful, apartment is great, complex is clean and kept up with, and the best part is being so close to everything like shopping centers, parks, restaurants, main highways, and more. It's only noisy because of the restaurants in the Lexus dealership or the neighbors but nothing too crazy to get worked up over. Overall, I'd recommend it to any one else. =] read more

I have lived here for a month now and I love the location. Close to restaurants, grocery stores and shopping center. Conveniently located next to the 15 fwy. I have had quite a few maintenance requests (slab leak and toilet base leak) but because the maintenance crew is so friendly and attentive it makes up for it. I have a large dog that I always clean up after but I can't say the same for many of the other owners unfortunately. Leasing staff is also very friendly and helpful. read more

My family has lived here since September 2016 and we can not wait to move out. The staff is extremely judgmental (we are a young family) we moved in on the 24th and paid deposit plus rent with the understanding that rent wasn't due till oct 30, because that's what Ricardo told us. Halfway through September we got a letter saying they were gonna evict us if we didn't pay... (who has 4500 sitting around?) the maintenance staff works on their own time. Our toilet over flooded. I called the emergency maintenance number and it took them half and hour to come fix it (I had to stand on the side of the tub and hold the thing in the back of the toilet so it wouldn't overflow) we also had 2 dogs. We got rid of one of them in November. We notified the front office and we were still charged the extra fee. In April we got it taken off but they refused to credit us back the couple hundreds that we paid..... do better hidden cove. read more

DO NOT DO IT! This place was awful. My elderly parents rented an apartment here so that they could move closer to me. They show a very nice apartment and then put you in a different one. One that is less maintained. They moved a family of 5 above my parents. This family was loud and often fought. After several complaints with no response from management I moved my parents out. We agreed to pay the penalty per our lease. The staff never posted this amount to the account so we were unable to pay. After move out they sent my parents a bill for 11k. Adding more stress. Luckily, we had our several attempts to pay in writing. After a lengthy email to upper management they finally rectified the situation. The nightmare is now over. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere! read more

I been living here now for 3 months I'm extremely unhappy with this apartments and with the people that work at the office, first Everything in this apartments is old they never answer the phone at the leasing office they lyin to get you to rent, and make sure you add about 100-150 dll more to wherever they tell you your rent will be every month add the trash about 90, electricity is very expensive the ac is very old oh and doesn't reach all the rooms make sure to buy a couple of fans. I would like to give this place a zero as well. Shitty ass apartments with bugs in the summer and the walls of the apartments are so thin, you can hear everything your neighbors are doing/saying. what do you expect from an apartment right?? Everything was still okay until we moved out. DO NOT EXPECT A CENT OF YOUR DEPOSIT BACK! they will take all your money. charge you 60 dollars for water, 55 for each pet, 20 dollars for parking for one car. they do not tell you any of this at move in either. Our rent went from an expected 1400 to about 2000 a month for a 2bd 2bath. the gates are never locked on top of it all, anybody can walk into the apartments. this is why we left this place as soon as we could, If you have money and don't mind wasting it then go right ahead, but if you're broke and do not have money to throw away then go to another apartment complex. there are way cheaper and nicer apartments in Escondido. read more

I lived here for 13 months and moved out at the end of June. Pros: The apartments themselves (or the few I've seen, anyway) are very nice. Maintenance takes care of the complex really well and staff has always been friendly. Lots of storage space. We lived in one of the upgraded apartments and I think it's definitely worth the price we pay for rent. Maintenance has always been very prompt when we've needed things to be fixed. Cons: ****I am in agreement with Lauren S. about the noise level. There are CONSTANTLY loud motorcycles driving by at all hours of the day and night. We recently had a baby, so this is a major issue... particularly since the summer is extremely hot and we usually have the windows open. **** Parking sucks. They say they've improved their parking policy, but it's still pretty bad. The parking spaces themselves are too narrow. You have to pay $20 extra monthly for a covered space (which I originally refused to do). Because of how narrow the parking spaces are I received many door dings. I originally drove a Toyota Tundra and even when I parked perfectly straight my truck was on the lines on both sides. This didn't really work out for me when I got bigger during pregnancy (nor was it going to work out after I had my child) so I caved and started paying for the covered space. I also frequently heard people arguing the tow truck drivers. My neighbor's car got towed out of their own space (that they pay for) because the tow truck driver said they couldn't see their sticker. The tow truck driver then told my neighbor that they would tow their car for any reason they could think of (out of spite). ****The area isn't quite the safest. People drive extremely fast on the streets around here. Someone recently got shot at the school across the street at about 8 o'clock at night. Anyone can get in and out of the gates here. They're always randomly opening even when no one is around. I've had many people over and I've only had to go and open the gate myself for them maybe 5 times. ****Apparently when you move out, you need to give 60 days notice. We got an email (only sent to ONE of us, even though all other emails were sent to both of us) with 59 days left stating this. ****We liked the fact that there is a "dog park" here prior to moving in (we have a dog), however it's only fenced on 3 sides. Not sure how that makes sense. ****There is a sewage plant or something nearby, so most nights it smells pretty rancid outside (not Hidden Cove's fault, obviously, but still a con). Please note that it gets VERY hot here during the summers and the units do not have central air conditioning. There's only 1 unit in the living room that doesn't work very well, so be prepared to buy a LOT of fans. The apartments that are closest to the leasing office kind of screw the upstairs people on balcony space, as well. They're much smaller than the downstairs porches, and half of the balcony is taken up by the air conditioning unit. They also have gaps at the floor of the balcony, so any water runoff (or whatever else, bouncy balls, etc.) goes onto the downstairs neighbor's porch. The adjacent units in the other 2 sections of the complex don't have this problem. All in all I was okay with living here. The problems (though there are quite a few) are pretty minor & things I could live with. We're mainly leaving due to the heat & constant noise. read more

My husband and I moved in to Hidden Cove after the new year and I am really surprised at the negative reviews on here. The complex is in a GREAT location, super close to a shopping center with just about everything you can think of but it's also far enough away in distance that the complex is really quiet. The office staff is a hit or miss, we have had a couple of times where a couple of them have blown us off and have been unprofessional but Lauryn has always been more than helpful and great- she is awesome! We live in the apartments with no washer and dryer and I will say that even though the laundry facility is -ok-, we really wish we would have spent a little extra to have a washer and dryer in our unit. The amenities such as the pool and gym are really nice and updated, so that's also a big plus. One thing that is ridiculous that I am not too fond of in these apartments, is the towing company. Don't even think about parking anywhere in the complex unless you have a permit or it will be towed immediately and you'll have to deal with the sorry excuse of a staff at the chosen towing company for these apartments. Overall I would recommend hidden cove to other potential apartment seekers, but one thing I will throw out there is that if you're looking at the online pictures, some of the 2 bed, 1 bath apartments look nothing like the site pics so make sure you get a tour of your actual apartment you'll be moving into before you sign ANYTHING. read more

I have lived here for 3 years and love it! The office is so friendly and the maintenance workers are great! It is not often you find a place that allows pets and actually has lots of grass for them to walk, do their business and play. The pool is always so clean and the whole complex is well kept up. The apartments are huge and fit all my furniture from the house i moved out of and any time i needed maintenance to come out they are quick and call to make sure i am happy with the work. My husband and I just moved into Hidden Cove a couple months ago and so far we absolutely love it. The location couldn't be better, we're so conveniently located right of the 15 but it's so quiet in the apartment I never notice. The amenities are awesome and the staff are always friendly, professional, and helpful. DO NOT MOVE HERE! By far the worst and most ridiculous apartments I have ever lived in! The Management team is the worst! We have lived here 2 years and once new management took over they wanted to TRY to charge us fees for having a dish satellite on the patio! Not only that! I have had my car towed twice and had my brothers cars window kicked in on property! My husbands car was broken into twice when parked inside the gate, which on watch security is hired and paid to keep the community safe ! What a joke!!!! This place doesn't even rate 1 star ! This place is ridiculous. Since we've moved in we've had hidden fees pop up and they charge for any and everything. Pet rent is $50 PER pet PLUS a $500 deposit for two animals. You also have to pay additional for parking. The Customer Service also is horrendous. Everything seemed picture perfect from the outside but once we moved in it's been nothing but a nightmare. The apartments themselves are extremely nice and well kept. The grounds are beautiful. Maintenance is questionable. As soon as our lease was up we were out of there. I would never recommend this place to anyone unless you enjoy getting ripped off. read more

I used to live here with my boyfriend and it was a nightmare. We are still thankful to this day that we got out. We got charged for paint and our carpet upon move out even though we lived there for years. We did not get our deposit back - nobody does here. The maintenance likes to break into your apt when you aren't home. They have a large keyring with everyone's apt keys on it. They know who is home and who is at work. Hidden Cove is full of crooks...i'm surprised this place hasn't been investigated. All they do is lie and steal money from the tenants with their sneaky tactics and hidden FEES. They also have a deal with the towing company, which is why their gates are always "broken" ....What they ACTUALLY do is they turn the switch off so they can leave the gates open so its easier for the tow trucks to tow YOUR cars. OH and they love to do it at the END OF THE MONTH - when your rent is due. Like I said - they have some kind of deal worked out with the towing company. Cute huh? The gardeners lay on the grass all day where people park their cars and they leave orange peels all over the place.. Not to mention - it takes them ALL DAY to get their work done. They sure do MILK it. The washers in the laundry room smell like body odor. Oh and you have to notify them 2 MONTHS in advance before you move out, otherwise they will slap you with a month to month price. . Most places ask that you notify them 1 month ahead of time when you are ending your lease! Not HIDDEN COVE! Dont forget that, people!! Otherwise you will get charged month to month when you are ready to leave. So so so happy and thankful that I don't live there anymore! Never again!!!!!!!!! read more

Well it is finally over. I spent 7 months in hell. If this post saves just one person from going through what I went through it will be worth it. We moved in and started having problems right away. You can hear every move your upstairs neighbors make so even if they are considerate it makes you miserable. In our case the folks upstairs were on a mission to make our lives a living hell. Management could not care less. If you leave early they make money. You have to pay an extra months rent. The grounds are not truly gated. The gates rarely work and break down on a daily basis. The pool is locked out at random and not available several times a month. They don't clean up the dog crap they just mow over it. It stinks every week when they mow. The steps in the complex are great for skateboarders they come from all over town to skate those steps. Adding to the noise. And when you complain they just tell you to pay up and move out. In my case they tricked me into not paying the penalty until it was too late so they posted a $10,615.00 charge on my account as past due and told me that if they rent the place they will remove the charge but it stayed until they rented the apartment to some other poor sole. You will never know how relieved I am to be out of this situation. Save yourselves all of this anguish and pain and find somewhere else to live. The situation at Hidden Cove and I would guess all AIMCO properties is less than desirable. My husband was almost hit by a falling tree that stood dead for two years and had been reported at least 4 time that I know of. They just waited until if fell. Then the mental pressure from the constant noise from above caused my husband to develop hypertention, was hospitalized for 3 days which was what finally brought us to the decision to pay the penalty and get out. Don't risk your life and health it is not worth it. Oh and one other thing. No matter how conservative you are with the water your bill will not go down because they split the whole bill between all of the tenants so no matter what you do you will be paying for a wasteful neighbors habits. Not what you think this place is. KEEP LOOKING! Upon moving in you think everything is good during the walk thru but reconsider. There's barely any parking and they charge u for a crappy carport. The parking is gated unless it's broken, which it is a lot of the time. Currently they have construction workers that have been working on the roof since December! They put notes on my door stating they would be there working on roof until Jan and it is now almost March... every morning loud banging outside and construction workers right next to ur window and in yr patio with ladders...HORRIBLE. aside from them being here they are currently taking up multiple parking spots that are already slim pickings of bc they are 1st come 1st serve. So they have about 10 parking spots they are using for portapotties and tables and trucks; whatever random crap they need. Porta potties....everyday when I come home. And large construction trucks. Unbelievable. The pictures they have online are only a select few apartments and the apt they showed me during my walk thru looked nothing like the ones online. :/ still unsure of when more parking will be available. Upon moving in I remember complaining about my blinds being too long because I constantly have to adjust them and move them around even after closing or opening. They are clearly too long and they still didn't replace them. When I first moved in I remember my door handle came off the door! I was livid because I was trying to leave at the moment and here I have a giant hole in my door where the knob should be. Why? There is a spider issue living downstairs constantly. Not sure how they even get in but to me it's not worth it having multiple spiders all throughout your house for no reason. I'm convinced they come thru the a/c which you can't close. The cabinets are warped at the bottom and I don't think they plan on replacing any time soon. Unless you live in one of their nicer apartments. Gardeners start working before 8am just so you're prepared. Hope you love Papa Johns because for some reason they stop by every once in a while and tape a coupon to your gate. Even if you don't want it... To me that is just not the business. I don't want that crap on my gate. Who knows if the nicer hidden cove apartments get these awesome pizza coupons taped to any part of their house. I honestly do not think this place is all it is cracked up to be for what they are charging and recommend that you keep looking if your are going to drop this kind of money every month for limited parking, broken gates, loud construction and spiders all day everyday. Think again. Not saying the staff isn't nice or pleasant but the apartments themselves are what you're stuck with for months. And your new spider friends. read more

Im currently living in this complex and i just got my card towed for not having my permit parking sticker on my windshield that i never got when i moved in.. ive been here for a few months now and suddenly i get towed.. anyways i went to the office i asked the lady in there what happened i ask her that i never got my stickers and she told me i was supposed to ask for them.. lol thats not my job im paying for these parking spaces and they still expect me to do their job.. not only that,i asked them if their towing company that they hire have a list of all registered cars that live in the complex and she said no.. ok so pretty much what shes saying is that i can easly not pay my parking spaces and steal my neighbors parking stickers and slap them on ny car and ill be good... since one of this shit is registered..lol its a joke!! Cant wait for my lease to come up im moving from this cheap place!! Now i have to pay 245$ to get my car out because this management cant be proffesional and do their job right... dont rent here!!!! read more

worst place to live ever my husbands subs were stollen from out of his car my car was towed twice and the second time I couldn't get it out cuz I was at my grandpas funeral and the transmission is blown so now I don't have a car and we told one of the ppl that work there and they said it wouldn't get towed so we talked to them and the lady that said that doesn't work anymore so they couldn't help us they raised our rent it's gross the people above us are sooo loud I HATEEEEEE this place read more
