Been here twice and both times have been lovely! Most recent time was a few days into the new year…read moreso Christmas decorations were still up which made the restaurant very cozy on a blustery rainy day. I was treating my mom to a birthday lunch where she enjoyed the most amazingly textured and light salmon cakes with the best dipping sauce over a beautiful Caesar with an oyster Caesar dressing. I had an equally as impressive mushroom bucatini and while I'd usually add a protein to my pasta this one did not need it so I skipped it and did not regret that as the medley of mushrooms was just so flavor packed and plentiful. I devoured my many leftovers later that evening. We will be back!

At that price, I expected a thick burger that would be cooked to order...something like you'd get in a steakhouse or a French restaurant. The burger comes with au jus, furthering that expectation. Burger showed up, torched through, completely brown all the way through. When I mentioned it to the waitress, she said 'oh, it's a smashburger, we can't cook it to medium rare'. Ok, well first of all $24 for a smashburger is nuts. No mention of that on the menu. If I want a smashburger, I'll pay $6-8 at a food truck. And second, why didn't you tell me that when you took my order for a medium-rare burger? I would have ordered something else. And the cup Au Jus was thicker than I expected, more like a sauce, rather than something to dip your burger in. Strange. Skip the $24 (smash)burger, get something else. Definitely would not recommend.

What a find! If you…read moreLIVE in Gig Harbor (as we do), enjoy wine, want to get out on a chilly weekend night and hang out somewhere warm, friendly, and cozy while sipping small-production delicious wines, then this truly hidden gem (behind another business in an old house) is for you! (& me!) If visiting Gig Harbor, step away from the main drag, go up just a few blocks, park in Cuvee's lot (or across the street in the giant lot) and find yourself in a wee living room with good company & tasty wines. Only off-putting thing to anticipate is the plastic glassware containing potentially very fine (& spendy) wines. My husband - lifelong wine biz - was a bit put off by his $20+ glass of chardonnay poured into plastic. But maybe this was a one off? I own a wine bar & spent three hours washing crystal last night and agree it's a pain, but also a labor of love as our wines are excellent (as are our guests) & sometimes you gotta wash the Riedel :) Highly recommend this adult-vibe, relaxing wine bar.

Very nice hidden gem with knowledgeable staff who know the wines they sell well. They don't sell…read moresweet wines which is a nice bonus since I only drink dry wines. Inside is cozy with seating for about 20 people. They offer three wine flights which my wife ordered and thoroughly enjoyed and also wines by the glass (or bottles you can take home to extend the party). I noticed they also sell canned 7 Seas beer, which I used to love but can no longer drink beer. There's also some plenty of parking which isn't always the case in Gig Harbor. Definitely will return!

After we got done with our visit we had just enough time to duck in here and check it out. There are lots of spices and some that are not easy to find so Steve stocked up on some for meals at home. There is also a wide variety of balsamic vinegars with a wide range of flavors. You can get a spoon and taste different ones which is a lot of fun to do! What also drew me in was their candy selection. While it's not a huge section some of the things they have are quite unique. Like a licorice caramel for example. I purchased a few of those and they were very enjoyable! Definitely a great place to swing by and take in their options. To one side of the shop it looked like a small wine tasting area. While it was closed when we were there probably it being close to them closing that is something to explore there as well.

I also enjoy the selection, albeit small, of gift items - always high quality and most often things I can't find elsewhere. The staff is helpful, but leaves you alone until you're ready. The new location is easier to access (slightly, parking in gh is hard any day) but is so much bigger the selection has gotten even better!

Pizza avengers assemble…read more This by far is the best pizza experience we''ve had in a while. How so, such a common commodity has risen to heroic standards? Well, there are the obvious... well selected ingredients (Adams wild mushrooms), a quaint view of Gig Harbor, etc etc But let's get back to the Averages The team working here would put any to shame. Between taking orders promptly and delivering food quickly, that is quite frankly amazing (so good we ordered the second pizza....) They are joking, tossing pizza, being the friends you wish you had. This place is a class act. A case study in great teamwork that just happens to serve amazing pizza. Apparently, I'm new here, because lots of people know this as they keep stoking that fire.

The two tables next to us were occupied almost immediately, and then the house was packed, making the room really warm. I actually wished we had sat outside instead. We ordered a glass of the Barbera and the Creamy Balsamic salad to start. The salad was nice and large with good flavor. I liked how they pre-tossed the salad for you so that each piece of lettuce was dressed. We also ordered the18inch Adam's Wild Mushroom pizza with the gluten free crust. Gluten free people- great news!! Their gluten free crust was soooooo good. I honestly had to ask my fiance if he thought it was actually gluten free. It was thin and chewy, which is hard to find in a GF world. I enjoyed the white sauce on the pizza, as well as the mushrooms. I couldn't taste the spice in the spicy evoo, and I thought the pizza needed a little extra saltiness to round out the flavors, so I asked for some parmesan which they brought out freshly grated. Overall, I would come back again to try another of their GF pizzas. Do they have a HH special? That would be awesome.
