I have heard such good things about this place so we had to try it. My husband said his pizza was phenomenal and he knows his pizza. Unfortunately what tanked my review was the salad. To be honest, it was probably one of the worst salads I've had in a long time. The dressing was very bland and I asked for no hard boiled egg and it came out with it on. I had already picked it off in the photo. I asked for chicken (+$3) and it seemed like it was that premade bagged chicken. The tomatoes were also not good. I ate maybe 1/3 of it. Were there changes in staff since the review 3 months ago? Or is the afternoon staff just not what the evening staff is? Plenty of folks working, but they were mostly standing around, on their phones, chatting with one another, or uncomfortably staring at us. We couldn't get their attention when we needed something. But felt the uncomfortable stare when we didn't need something. Pizza was ok. Salads were weird and over dressed at the bottom in particular as well as very bland. Millville Pizza Co. always seems to be busy, so I figured it was about time to check it out. We walked in on a Friday evening and were quickly seated inside. The two tables next to us were occupied almost immediately, and then the house was packed, making the room really warm. I actually wished we had sat outside instead. We ordered a glass of the Barbera and the Creamy Balsamic salad to start. The salad was nice and large with good flavor. I liked how they pre-tossed the salad for you so that each piece of lettuce was dressed. We also ordered the18inch Adam's Wild Mushroom pizza with the gluten free crust. Gluten free people- great news!! Their gluten free crust was soooooo good. I honestly had to ask my fiance if he thought it was actually gluten free. It was thin and chewy, which is hard to find in a GF world. I enjoyed the white sauce on the pizza, as well as the mushrooms. I couldn't taste the spice in the spicy evoo, and I thought the pizza needed a little extra saltiness to round out the flavors, so I asked for some parmesan which they brought out freshly grated. Ordering online for a to-go order is easy. We ordered a Home 2 pizza and added Italian sausage, and a house salad. Goat cheese on a pizza is just a new level of delicious, you've gotta try it. It's tangy and more flavorful than just mozzarella, it makes for a delicious artisanal style pizza. The house salad is pretty small in my opinion. For the amount you get the price should be closer to $5. I was expecting more salad considering it's simple veggies and wasn't a complex salad with extra toppings. Maybe you get more when you eat in, but that was a bit disappointing from the to-go experience. Overall, the food is good and the pizza options are unique. read more

Millville Pizza has a great lunch special $28 for two salads of choice, a 12" pizza of choice and two sodas. Burrata salad is something I'm coming back for it was delicious. The balsamic glaze and Burrata cheese were perfect together. The salads are a nice size portion and call out on how much we love the burnt pizza crust bubbles. They were pretty busy and the girl that waited on us was so sweet and kept the most graceful and friendly disposition the whole time. In the past I would order from Millville and then stop by to pick it up. Because of this I already knew that they had great pizzas and salads. But we finally had the time to come in, sit down, have a meal and leave a review. We were seated promptly and I would recommend either reserving a spot or understanding when they're less busy as there aren't many tables inside the quaint pizzeria. There is some good outdoor seating available. The pizzas here are very good and sized for two to enjoy with a salad for one hungry person to enjoy. They also have a great gluten free option. The Millville Chop is our favorite salad and I am partial to the Pacific Raider pizza. Next time you're in Gig Harbor, try Millville Pizza. read more

The pizza was really good! Only took off 1 star due to service and "eh" salad. All the pizzas were really tasty and had nice fresh ingredients. Looks of unique options too. Perfect size and really good crust. The Caprese salad was just fine, not enough dressing and burrata was pretty bland. My main gripe was with the service. I want to make clear that everyone was super friendly and nice. However, the meal felt quite rushed. They asked us for our order within 2 minutes of sitting down and asked to clear plates as one of us was still eating. They never refilled our waters after the main bottle was empty. And when they cleared the pizza plates they dumped the crumbs all over the table. It just felt a bit rushed. They were also out of many core ingredients (sausage, arugula, bell pepper, black olives). It was the end of day on a Sunday, so I suppose they were just low on supplies by the end of the week. All these issues were minor and could definitely be fixed. The highlight of it all was the pizza, and they did that very very well. So I'd definitely come back! read more

If you blink, you will drive right past it. The sign is small and under the overhang and the restaurant is shared with another business in a single bldg. We you enter, low lit with wood looking accents, which at first gave me a coffee shop feel. The staff were wonderful and attentive. The tables seat 4, but if you are more than 2, pull another table over as they serve single size and share size pizzas (8 or 12"). Ordered the artichoke dip and it came with pizza crust. Highly recommend Ordered salads, and they can be shared. The pizzas were also great, the thin tossed crust came with a wood fire feel (not sure if they were or were not) and a wonderful crunch. The only negatives were the croutons on the salad. Really hard... chipping a tooth hard. We all had to pull them off. The other was the pizzas being a bit too salty. Drink water but still worth it. I like my sauce a little more rich but theirs is pretty great as well, probably more versatile like it is. Still yummy. I really liked the salad but I should have asked for the shallots on the side. They weren't overpowering and actually accented the salad pretty well. Just for me, a few less. Things that could be a little better. Service. I think since I was a single table I was overlooked a lot. Here is my bill. Not too bad for a single person meal. I just felt very neglected. The cookie. Great idea a wood fired cookie. I do like Millville but lately a few things are off. The sandwich I loved is not as good because the garlic aioli is so strong it stings and doesn't taste good either too much garlic or bad garlic. If you order a chicken salad for an entree it comes as an appetizer and you are finished before your guests get their orders. Met my pizza buddy halfway and thought we'd try this place. Wood fired in a small town on the water in Gig Harbor. We were greeted warmly and I was the first one there. Small but quaint corner pizzeria with adequate seating inside and some tables on the outside. No a/c but there was a nice breeze with the doors open and close to the water. The server was friendly and attentive and brought me a nice cold liter of water and I ordered a cold beer which was quite a refreshing IPA from Old Stove Brewing. My partner arrived and we ordered a 12" with red sauce, bacon, sausage and pepperoni. More than enough for us. The pizza arrived and you could tell it was wood fired, the char was just right. However the rest of the crust was so thin it barely held the toppings. Way too much flop but the rim was crisp and tasty. The small town vibe helped make it a worthwhile drive and the toppings were above average. On my pizza scale I would rate it a 5+ and We've been to a lot of pizza places. Let's start with the food Pizza is excellent. I prefer the red sauce. The white sauce is a bit like rubber. Pizza selection on toppings is good but it's hard to find the toppings they have very small amounts on the pizza. Service was good but it took about 40 minutes for the first. Pizza and 20 on the second one. The salad was in heavy dressing and had mostly lettuce and very few tomatoes and even less onions. The food is good but allow a lot of time to eat. We had a two year old with us so a long wait was a bit much. If you go into enjoy a glass of wine the wait works. read more

The grass often feels greener on the other side. What I am referencing is that when Steve and I go to Gig Harbor we often have very good experiences with the restaurants there. But a friend that lives there feels the opposite and is envious in our direction for the same thing. With that said despite being critical of some of the restaurants in Gig Harbor our friend did recommend Millville Pizza and it was on our bookmarks to try anyway. For an appetizer we had some marinated olives that we really enjoyed. The dish was extremely fresh as was all of the ingredients in our meal and was a great beginning to kick starting our appetites. Steve and I ordered the Majestic, a Ricotta white sauce pizza with olives, chicken, fresh basil, red onion and roasted tomato. The pizza was cooked in a pizza oven so it gives you more of a feeling of authenticity and in the end the pizza was great! For dessert we got some warm, house made cookies here which were fantastic. I had a weird experience. The manager asked me to clean the toilet seat. She accused me of going to the bathroom with the toilet seat down. But it was a crowed restaurant and could have been anyone. Moreover, what is the manager doing watching who's in the bathrooms. This situation was quite frustrating and embarrassing. It's unfortunate that I was wrongly accused, especially in a busy restaurant where it could have been anyone. Millville has two gender neutral bathrooms, rather than male and female bathrooms. Many other guys used the toilet that evening. Managers should handle such matters differently considering the context and the possibility of innocent mistakes. It's puzzling why the restaurant manager was closely monitoring bathroom usage. Perhaps she was trying to maintain cleanliness, but her approach seems rather invasive. This is hands down the worst pizza I have seen/had in years. I'm a local so normally this is my go to pizza place. I called for carry out which was a 35 min wait. When I showed at the 30 min mark the waitress was beyond busy and I watched as my pizza and stromboli sat and cooled until I was able to pay. When I got home the photos is what I got. We opened up the stromboli and it had a hole in the crust and also huge amounts of raw dough, so much so it was questionable to eat. The pizza on the other hand was overcooked in places with the flattest flatbread crust I have seen. They have either changed their dough or something was going on in the kitchen. I would not recommend getting pizza here for the time being. read more
