Staff was very pleasant with activities for the kids. From the moment we pulled in, we were impressed. Great service, walking us through the check in and checkout and taking us to our site. Fellow campers were mostly respectful. We didn't have a problem with noise or trash. Only issue was someone allowing their dog to poop in front of our cabin and not picking it up - small price to pay for a pet friendly experience, and people will be people. Wide variety of campers, and was great to see them, their rigs, and share the experience.

Giving 4 stars because the spa pool was only open from 3-8 when it was supposed to be open from 10-8 every day we camped. Once it opened, it was packed and not always enjoyable. Also, this lake could really use a good skimmer; the bottom was full of leaves and muck, unlike the Jellystone Campground at Mammoth Cave. We loved the shows and all the camp decorations for the Hulu event. We will be back, I just hope the pool will be open more hours.

Now we were asked to meet family there again this summer and hoping they updated their beds to the size they claim so I email to ask- they email me back to say the beds are same and they are "industry size". They are FULLS and we have video and pics to prove it. I have been manipulated and should have demanded atleast a partial refund after our visit (having read up on the law and what it means them lying about size of beds). Since then we have made it an annual trip and our group size has doubled. I would say this campground is geared toward adult fun, meaning unlike some campgrounds "quiet time" is not a factor during the weekend. They have a lot of concerts and group gatherings. It's a fun place to stay and the people are very friendly. Lastly, if you come during one of their concert or during a poker run, you won't be disappointed.

Regular weekend campers that want to take the kids, this may not be the best place for them, but when we want to come see one of the many good acts they book, it is good enough for us. The sites are 90% permanent seasonal sites and for shorter team stays its basically what ever is available. We have friends here that we can come to visit, or we will come for a few shows. The short term campers and concert goers help keep prices down for the longer term residents and I'm fine with that. The residents and staff treat guests very well, just don't expect a big retail camp store and lots of amenities for weekend camping. But we had a great time for the concert once again and visited friends. This is a fun place, just know what you are getting into.

Some long timers set up and all were wonderful to lose time in conversation. The back area was huge with grass. My pups got some great exercise in to help being cooped up in the truck for so long. We happened to catch the bluegrass bands while we were there and it was nice to have in the background. They didn't stay up too late either. I would stay here again if ever in the area.

My friend said they had slushies before this so we asked for slushies and they said we didn't have any. So I jokingly called my friend a lier and they thought I was talking to the employee. The manager came out and said not to talk to the employees like that. When I explained myself I said "I'm sorry. I was talking to my friend not her." And I thought it was cleared up because it was just a misunderstanding. Me and my friend got a chocolate milk shake and a blue raspberry ice cream cone and the ice cream cone tasted like it was just dyed blue. And when we got them we said thank you and the one lady said "Yeah" and the other said "mhm". Mind you we are a lot younger than the employees and we felt it was very rude of them.
