I absolutely love La Z Acres campground. A group of us started camping there in 2020 and we were welcomed with open arms. Since then we have made it an annual trip and our group size has doubled. I would say this campground is geared toward adult fun, meaning unlike some campgrounds "quiet time" is not a factor during the weekend. They have a lot of concerts and group gatherings. It's a fun place to stay and the people are very friendly. Lastly, if you come during one of their concert or during a poker run, you won't be disappointed. read more

Stayed here 2 times now with 2 more booked for soon. Tom's review below makes a good point he gives is 4 stars for a concert venue and 3 as as campground. I understand his point. Regular weekend campers that want to take the kids, this may not be the best place for them, but when we want to come see one of the many good acts they book, it is good enough for us. The sites are 90% permanent seasonal sites and for shorter team stays its basically what ever is available. We have friends here that we can come to visit, or we will come for a few shows. The short term campers and concert goers help keep prices down for the longer term residents and I'm fine with that. The residents and staff treat guests very well, just don't expect a big retail camp store and lots of amenities for weekend camping. But we had a great time for the concert once again and visited friends. This is a fun place, just know what you are getting into. read more

Concert venue review. 2021 Went out twice this year. BYOB! Seriously. Bring in a cooler if you want. I had no idea what to expect. Gravel driveway past a booth that had our name on the list. Small parking area for visiting fans. Most parking is at each individual camp site. These are some elaborate exterior structures covering a camper or trailer(see pic). Residents sitting on decks, chairs, swings and golf carts everywhere. Make your way to the office for passes to your reserved area. The venue was a lawn bowl where golf carts, blankets and lawn chairs were scattered(see pic). A large well equipped stage with professional light rigging and sound system stood out. The floor area was surprisingly concrete with 8 top round tables and chairs(see pic). The sides were now built out in tiered decking with more tables and chairs(see pic). Ticket prices were very inexpensive for the quality of acts they book. I reserved a table with 8 wristbands for a whole $25. That's it! Wristbands give you full access from your table to the floor in front of the stage and any of the reserved table areas. Food trucks were on hand(see pics). I also saw a swimming pool(see pic) and heard there were 3 other water features(lakes/ponds). I can't get over the quality of sound system and light show. Bands should be eager to play here. Tour buses and semi's fit with ease. Looking forward to next years shows. read more

my parents have a permanent site here, i just turned 17 years old and i bring my friends out here all the time during the summer and it is an absolute blast. it's literally my home away from home and the best campground ive ever been too. so many fun memories. everyone is beyond friendly. the concerts are so much fun, the pool is clean and nice to go tanning at, there is always people around my age out there so it's a great place to make friends. read more

We went this weekend for the first time ever. We got a tent site and had a GREAT time. We were 4 people in our 30's and had so much fun. The people who checked us in and everything were so nice and helpful. They deliver wood to us, took us to our spot and were polite and kind the whole time. We could hear the band playing from our site which was amazing to sit by the fire and listen to. Yes- people are drinking , yes- kids drove golf carts, yes people stayed up til 2 am but I never saw anyone super intoxicated, kids weren't obnoxious on the golf carts. It is a fun filled, activity driven Camp site and we loved it. No one bothered us, no one was rude or mean, the grounds are clean and kept nice. The bathrooms were cleaner than we anticipated honestly. The only thing we could nit-pick is the tent sites aren't all flat ground. There is flat areas for where your tents are set up but the area around the fire pits are on a small hill but it wasn't that bad at all and didn't cause any issues so would not take a star away for it. We will be back a lot more often! read more

BEWARE - Website photos grossly misrepresent this place. We left without camping and gladly forfeited our deposit to not stay in this dump. Many of the campers here were trashy, dirty, and decaying in such a way that fosters insect and rodent issues. The staff was drunk upon our arrival during office hours and the trailers were so tightly jammed in backed up to each other that I could not spread my arms out between them. read more

When we first arrived there was no one to check us in. Called the phone number and nobody answered the phone. Drove around the campground looking for the store. They had my reservation written down on paper with no site number listed. Staff was confused. Sites are very small with no room between sites. Had to wake up 2 other campers so they could move their trucks just so we could leave in the am. Ton of kids riding golf carts around till 3am. Definitely not a kid friendly campground. A lot of Drinking and driving golf carts all day. Woke up to trash on our site from ppl walking through and leaving it in my site. The breakers in the box kept tripping. I was told the lines have low voltage. Which is not good for your camper to run off. Thought of just leaving at check in but decided to stay. Should've listened to my gut and left. Will never return. read more

This is by far the most fun and active campground we've ever been too. There is always some kind of entertainment going on and the people are so friendly. This is a fun place to visit and love the updates the owners are constantly making. read more

We decided to drop our camper in a permanent spot close to Zanesville. The grounds and facilities are clean and improvements seem to be non stop! Great little restaurant and store, it also seems to be the morning gathering place. There is always something going on, entertainment wise. Camper (as always) are helpful and nice. We have camped here for quite some time. Since the new owners took over this Spring there have been nothing but improvements. There is a positive vibe here that hasn't been seen in years. The campground is clean, the pool sparkles and is always full. Weekends bring entertainment and fun. There is always something going on. We are glad to be here. read more

I got invited to go camping just the othe weekend and see a band, we arrived and going by reviews we was seeing how wrong they were, I read about people can't find the office/store but asked someone that was cleaning up and they was super nice and told us exactly where it was would have found it no problem anyways. check in was awesome staff was super helpful and respectful, had a question they was more than happy to help, I'm not sure what these other reviews was all about but they couldn't have Been correct when you expect too much you will receive the bare minimum. This place is to have a great time and enjoy yourself, we got primitive camping and have not one complaint, except not having the money to move in and stay as a residential right away. Yes I will definitely be moving to la-z acres. 100% awesome place and phenomenal time, if you don't like people having fun and being happy and enjoying life then this is not for you, looking for a good time please fill free to call and make a reservation, I will definitely be recommending this place to others. read more

Lazy Acres plays music past midnight blasting the surrounding neighborhood. My child can't sleep. I can't sleep, and I think something should be done about this. Please contact the Muskngum County Commission to shut down the music. We will all sleep better at night! read more

There is nothing family friendly about this camp ground when it gets to be bed time for kids. Along with other things. As I sit here at almost 2am with the neighboring camper still playing corn hole and have cranked up the karaoke machine to full blast. Not to mention I'm handicap, my camp site is on a downward hill full of rocks, no fire ring, no picnic table. Like they just squeezed us in wherever. Charged us more money than they said on the phone. Had no golf carts to rent with me being disabled. Then when a younger kid gave me a ride, one of the security guards wanted me to prove I was handicapped while I'm there with my kane. My family is so tired right now. I tried to call the office to get the cerfuw for being so loud with no luck. They are closed. They care about quantity not quality for their campers. read more
