No play area for the kids or organized activities of any kind. It is close to the freeway to get what you need, especially heading to Rochester Mayo clinic. If you have a camper trailer, this is an excellent value if you have an extended stay in Rochester, MN, especially for the mayo clinic. Highly recommended for a no nonsense rv park and value.

The sites are level gravel with paved drives, located north of the restaurant, along highway 52. It is noisy next to the highway. The sites have grass, but it hadn't been mowed when we were here. It had rained all week and our shoes were soaked walking in the tall wet grass. There are pine trees in some of the sites with pine cones. There are no picnic tables for campers to use. Pets are welcome. The street lights don't work in the park so it is dark. The office has the restrooms/showers, but you have to pay to take showers. The toilets and sinks are free and very clean. There were washers and dryers, but we didn't use them. There was a comfortable lounge. The office wasn't open when we got there and we never saw any one in there while we were there. You fill out a form provided outside the office door, and slide it under the office door. When someone gets in the office, they take the form and payment, then put it in an envelope and hang it on the outside of office door for you to pick up later. It's confusing the first time when you get here. The restaurant looks like the office. NOPE! This park is only open April to the fall. It was quite pricey ($45 per night) for just the hook ups, not having someone in the office, no picnic tables, unmowed yards, gravel lots, and pay to shower. If we had to come to this area again, we would stay here, but we would shop around for better prices. It was nice having a restaurant close by. Shopping is 5 minutes down the road.

They are pet friendly which was awesome for me! I spent a lovely 9 days here visiting family. The Motel is right across the street from the gorgeous Lake Pepin walkway. From my second floor room I had an incredible view. I liked the check in on your own. The housekeeping staff was friendly and did a great job, but you do not have housekeeping unless you request it. It was easy to text a note and request it. The Owners are simply really nice people. They are usually around quite a bit so it is easy to contact them be email or text. I highly recommend this place and look forward to going again next year. They fill up fast, so plan ahead!

We could hear a little noise from the room above us, specifically when they were walking around, but it was fairly minor. The office staff were friendly and welcoming. Booked my room on Expedia and got a great deal. Room was clean. Bathroom was clean. Plenty of elevators to get up and down. The basement is called the "Subway " and it is actually a below ground shopping area with retail and professional services. Very cool. It still has its issues.. two rooms for my recent transplant follow up and my son was a kidney donor and they did not have any heat in the room. Lightbulbs missing out of fixtures.. It seems they can get by limited service because they're close to Mayo We were at Mayo Clinic the end of January 2025 for a kidney transplant. We reserved rooms for the family and also our stay was 30 days. When we arrived, the hotel did not have any heat and customers were very upset. We went to Walmart and purchased heating blankets and portable heaters for our room and for our family' Members rooms. It seems the ownership group for the Kahler hotels either doesn't know about these issues or their standards are lower than most. I would never recommend staying at the Kahler Inn and as far as the kahler Grand, I would recommend would make sure that everything is functioning in the room before you pay.

I was an outpatient at Mayo Clinic for 12 days, I had testing and exams as early as 6:00 AM and as late as 6:00 PM, so if I would have had the time/opportunity to move to another hotel, I certainly would have. When I expressed my concerns and disappointments nothing got resolved. The hotel is very dated and run down. The faucets were corroded with lime build up and the water pressure was at best a trickle. I paid $340 per night and for that price, I certainly expect better quality. The TV stopped working, called front desk, no resolve. We fixed the TV ourselves. Complained about the water pressure and was asked if I wanted a service person to look at it, I said no! Maybe if they cleaned the shower heads and faucets water pressure would improve!! I doubt a service person would take apart the shower heads and faucets and clean them by soaking them in vinegar to clean off the lime! I did speak to management (Scott), and he kept reiterating the fact that the hotel was 20+ years old. I told him that he should charge $260 per night for a 20+ year old hotel. He reduced my total bill by $340, VERY DISSATISFIED! DON'T STAY AT THIS HOTEL FOR $340 PER NIGHT!!

No continental breakfast, No TV, WI-FI, Beds & rooms were uncomfortable and comforters were Winter weight ?? Should be changed to Seasonal weights for comfort. The only problem (which was not their fault) is that the trains run very close to the building, so bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Highly recommended!
