Little children like my granddaughter age 3 1/2 would need to wear floaties for your peace of mind but, parents are going to be with their children. My daughter and her husband rented a Kayak to go to the other side where it is deeper and there was a rope swing. My son in law loved that. You can take your own water toys and tubes. It is spring fed and it stays 72 degrees all year. It's still chilly but when you walk around you get use to it and it's comfortable. I have not camped out. We may go again for the 4th and we might camp out. It's very pleasant there. The cabanas are great. Lots of shade in the cabanas and you can grill, there are lots of chairs so you don't have to take chairs unless you want to. You will need to take food and drinks, snacks. All of the cabanas have hammocks which is nice. Beware of rocks though and be sure and take your water shoes so that you can walk on the rocks. There are some areas that are very easy to just walk into the water where the ground is level. I highly recommend this place for a fun family weekend or a fun day.

I have video evidence of the bedbugs in the bed and I was bitten multiple times. I also believe they were aware there were bedbugs on the property and passed it off as a simple "maintenance issue". In addition to this huge problem, they are also unorganized. The staff didn't properly inform me about changes to my reservation. I was sent a last minute email with vital information that they should have confirmed with me via phone call or text. They also allowed me to buy a tubing/kayaking/shuttle wristband during my reservation. When I spoke to an employee on the phone about the problems with the property, she informed me that they were not even operating the shuttle/tubing during the week because it was "off season". I tried emailing the property as soon as this happened and did not get a response. I also called twice to speak to the manager about it. The manager, Rachel, never called me back. Do not stay at Son' Blue River Camp. It was a 0/10 experience.

The bathrooms near us did not have any lights or a/c turned on. They worked and were clean, but didn't have any electricity. We used the bathrooms that were down a little form us. They did have lights and were clean. I was nervous about the bathroom situation. In other reviews, people were saying the bathrooms were a mess. This was not the case with our trip. I hope they keep this up. Having clean bathrooms is very important. I would not come back if the bathrooms were a problem. It had rained, so the river was running pretty good. The 3 hour float was only 1.5 hour(s). The tube rental was easy, $30 per person for all day. They take you back to the campsite and you can float as many times as you would like for the $30 daily rate. They also allow you to have multiple tubes for you and your ice chest at no extra charge. I highly recommend coming to Son's River Ranch.

But you can rent tubes, if you want to float the river. I happened to step into a pile of ants at the based of one of the trees. Wouldn't recommend that. These little guys also found their way into our picnic fruit, so make sure every food item you bring is secured in an iced cooler 100% of the time you aren't eating. The water is so fun, you won't want to leave. I got a little sunburnt, so if you're pale like me-make sure you constantly reapply.

Trees aren't grown enough to have any sort of shade and aren't really planted in places where anyone was parked. We had the back corner lot with the field behind us which we (including our dog) loved, but in the month we were there it was only mowed once. That said, the management on the phone was responsive and always handled any questions we had with no issues and our refund after checkout was returned quickly. We would stay again if we're in the area. Thank you!

At first I was thrilled with the place. I was consulting with a tech company in the area and they…read morepointed me in the direction of Lake Falling Star. The owner, Kelly, got me set up and helped me get pulled in. I thought that was very nice. That evening Kelly walked by and saw me brushing my dog and commented that she didn't realize how big he was and I told her not to worry he'd lick someone to death before he'd hurt them and she huffed and just walked off muttering something about borrowing trouble while her unleashed dog pitched a fit. I couldn't even sit with a show trained retriever but her shepherd had the run of the place all day and night. A couple days later she came by and complained about the way I was parked. I mean she guided me in there, was she forgetting things? I even began to wonder if she was the same person that checked me in at that point. After that it was something every day. power cable on grass, water leaking , it was the A/C drainage. If she saw me I got a good chewing on about something else every time. it was always something that should not have even caused a concern but bothered her. Finally, I was sitting on my patio when a deputy pulled up with her following behind in a cart. She said she wanted to look in my trailer with the deputy. i declined as I had no idea what this was about. When I declined the deputy handed me a notice of eviction. He then informed me I had 24 hours to leave. I still did not know what I did. So, I handed the eviction back and said I refused the method of delivery, but would be gone in the morning. And just like that, I met another disturbed person in my life's journey. I never found out what she thought I was doing. I wasn't even sure if I had ever done anything questionable in that trailer.--NO... I was busy all the time with work and pretty much just came home, walked the dog and had a couple drinks before going to bed there at night. Strange! Of course I would never go back even if it has been a few years. Beware, not all is as it appears at that park. I have heard a lot of stories since sharing mine. Some are downright bizarre.
