Gaining access was quick and easy! I paid via venmo, text a screenshot of my payment confirmation to the number listed on their website and received the access code via text with a map of their layout. We arrived and gained access easily with the code. Once inside, we met some other customers who told us where we could park and unload. The park was clean. It's nice to see people following the rules and picking up after themselves. Everyone we encountered was nice. There were families out with their kids and some singles riding. We were hoping for mud but it hasn't rained in a while so we didn't get to play in any. There are some decent routes here for beginner riders, which was good since we have a newer driver with us. Overall the place was good! Definitely a good spot to take kids.

He started the conversation with the statement that he had "reprimanded" his staff for trying to help me out of order. There was clearly a misunderstanding with his employees but he insisted he had told me something that he had not said and which was totally inconsistent with the conversations I had with his staff. He has poor people skills and even worse business instincts. I ended up taking my equipment and leaving the premises even though they were supposed to do warranty work. I would rather pay someone to do the work than deal with this knothead. I wouldn't be surprised if he has continual staffing problems. I certainly wouldn't work for him.

The staff was courteous, thoughtful, and made sure we felt comfortable before heading out. What stood out most was how thorough they were -- they explained everything upfront so well that we honestly didn't even have any questions. They also reassured us that leaving our vehicle there would be safe, and it absolutely was. The slingshot itself was such a fun experience. It comes with a back seat compartment and a mounted dash, which made it easy to store items and keep things accessible. They also offer an umbrella cover option, which I'd recommend if it's really hot outside. We went without it and were fine even with temps around 95°, but it definitely would've added extra comfort. A couple things to keep in mind: - Don't forget your helmets (we did ) - Our iPhones overheated when plugged in for music, so plan accordingly I'd also suggest bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, and something to manage your hair like a bandana or scarf (they do sell some there if you forget). We rented for five hours, and honestly... it flew by. Next time, we're definitely booking longer or even adding another day. Overall, such a great experience and I'd absolutely recommend them for a fun, easy adventure around San Antonio.

We had a large number of guests traveling from out of state to attend, and we struggled with finding accommodations that would fit our needs. We wanted to be able to make a nice recommendation for guests that would be close to the wedding venue and allowed the use of a shuttle service. Many of the nearest hotels were in Cedar Park, which was not as close as we would have liked. After some research, we found North Shore Vacation Rentals which had a large number of rental properties within The Island on Lake Travis. Having so many rentals in one area made shuttle service much easier to plan. From the moment I reached out, Katie and the staff at North Shore were such a pleasure to work with! They really went out of their way to help make my very large room block work smoothly. Katie personally showed us the property and a number of the rentals before we committed, and we were impressed by the shape that many of the condos were in. The Island also offered a few amenities, including access to swimming pools, a spa, outside barbecues & picnic tables and even a bar/restaurant on property (where we hosted our after party following the wedding reception). I am so happy we chose to go this route not only for the convenience factor, but also for the exceptional customer service that was provided. Katie even walked the entire property with me the weekend of our wedding to help me distribute welcome gift bags for our guests. In addition to rentals within The Island, North Shore also offers other rental properties. One very nice house in particular located just a short distance from The Island was rented out by a group of guests as well. Guests had nothing but nice things to say about the business, all of the beautiful lakefront views, and the numerous deer sightings in Lago Vista. If you're looking for a place to stay in the area or just an excuse for a getaway, I would highly recommend considering a rental through North Shore Vacation Rentals!

What a perfect way to start our first adventure of the year, especially in the Year of the Horse This year, we've decided to create moments instead of buying things, and this experience was everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, everything felt easy and welcoming. The instructions were clear and simple, making the ride comfortable even if you haven't been on a horse in a while. Our instructor, Annabelle, was AMAZING -- knowledgeable, calm, kind, and truly attentive the entire time. I had the honor of riding Poncho, a strong, steady, and beautiful horse. There was something incredibly grounding about simply walking the trails, crossing through water, and fully trusting him to guide us safely -- and he absolutely did. That connection, that peace, that trust... unforgettable. We enjoyed this experience so much that we already know we'll be back in March, and we plan to end this year the same way we started it -- on horseback, making memories together.
