First, I should mention that I eat at this restaurant 3-4x a year. The food is a bit overpriced, and the service is hit and miss (I've had very good servers and also very bad servers). After today's experience, I will NOT be returning in the future. Why? 1. Server was so-so. Not as friendly as she should have been, but maybe she was having a bad day. 2. Meal was (again) not worth the price. 3. I was charged a surcharge for using my credit card and THE SERVER DID NOT MAKE ME AWARE OF SAID SURCHARGE (they are required to by law). 4. When I called the restaurant to speak with the manager (Kim) about my dissatisfaction with the 3 things mentioned above, she was rude in her response to me (I get it, its Casa Grande, good managers are far and few). You get much better service at the Texas Roadhouse restaurant. I'm sure they will appreciate my business. read more

We went there for the first time today. It was amazing. We had our dog with us, so we sat outside under the misters. It was amazing. They brought our dog her own water, and played with her. Then they brought out our orders. The burger was cooked to perfection and the fries, the FRIES, were the best ever. They were so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I wish I knew where they got them and what they cook them in. Best ever, the grease they cook them in was so good. So glad that we stopped here on our way back to Mesa from Sierra Vista. Decided to give this a try, due to seeing it off the freeway in Casa Grande by the Harkins. We waited for 10 minutes and were sat at a table , 10 ft from outside heaters. A bit cooler evening, glad we had our jackets and long sleeve. Our server was on point, had refills before we asked and always got what we needed. Sausages were lean and apple flavored. BBQ sauce tastes like apple cinnamon applesauce and honey bbq sauce mixed together. My husband had the appetizer sampler and would give it a 7:10, $19 a little pricey for the limited beef choices. Get bbq sauce on the side. I enjoyed the pulled pork, quite a bit that I took half home w/half my potato. $16 priced good Drinks Arnold Palmer 2refills. On an adventure to McFarland State Historic Park and Casa Grande Ruins, we decided to stop at a spot I'd noticed from the highway many times on our way back to the valley. The restaurant was busy, but we were seated quickly. I browsed the menu, torn between the flat iron and the ribeye, so I asked the waitress for her recommendation. She was very knowledgeable and suggested the ribeye, so I went with her advice. When my meal arrived and I cut into the ribeye, it was incredible--flavorful, tender, and impressive in every way. I stayed in Casa Grande for work and ate here three times. My first meal was a beef dip sandwich for lunch and it was pretty good. I got seasonal veggies as a side and it was seasoned very well. For dinner I had a 8 Oz filet medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. It was seasoned well and delicious. Lunch the next day was their grilled cheese with three cheeses and fries. I went here last week with my mom and aunt and though their experience was a little different than mine, I enjoyed mine! It was around 4 PM on a Friday afternoon. We were able to be seated immediately inside. There are many seating options, a bar, and a separate takeout window as well. I ordered the Texas Twinkie appetizer and it came out perfectly fried to perfection. It also had ample brisket inside. I loved it! For the meal, I ordered garlic Parmesan wings and enjoyed those as well. My mom ordered the fish and chips, and felt the fish were reminiscent of your typical frozen fish sticks from the grocery store. The fries are also over cooked a bit and very crunchy. A definite no need to order again. My aunt got a bbq plate and felt it was just okay. There was some free bread that came out prior to our meal that came with a cinnamon honey butter. We ate there twice in the past week, the first time food was a 3 but service was a 5. I kinda blame myself for the food, I had French onion soup and it was meh but it's a country bbq joint so what was I expecting. The loaded mashed potatoes are the bomb! The steak on a stone is a good idea but not well executed. The garlic butter is great but I've had steak on a stone in Europe and it was much better, they use different steaks designed to be cooked on a stone whereas here they give you same steaks designed you would order normally with a sear on it. Nice try but it could be much better. The place itself is warm and inviting, big but not crowded. Now, the second time we went was 5 stars all the way. Had stuffed jalapeños which were top notch, prime rib which was better than some up market steak houses and loaded mashed potatoes again. The meal was awesome start to finish and like first time, service was top notch. Friendly staff make a difference and these people are perfect that way. Reccomeded by a Tucsonan as pit" stop in Casa Grande in large mall off Florence Blvd e & n of I -10 the local award winning Hideout Steakhouse & Bbq was quite a surprise . Located far north of the In-n-Out burger close to the Harkins theater sits the Hideout almost a block long including the outdoor covered patio. An extensive menu(s) with all 3 meals breakfast ,lunch ,& dinner with large indoor/outdoor bar. I wanted to try the bbq to take out and read on Yelp the pulled pork was a favorite . They wouldn't take an phone order without paying in advance so dropped in to order a pound of pulled pork " butt " to go that was quickly prepared along with several small tasty sauce's ( 6) requesting trying them all . The size of the restaurant' and menu was almost unbelievable. Back at the ranch" the chunks shedded pork butt seemed dry with a subtle spicing ,Texas style ? The sauces were even a better " hit" for me . I usually stop in Casa Grande to go to In-n-out burger for a breather before the stressful " gauntlet north into phoenix , but would definitely consider hitting up the Hideout again time permitting . On a Saturday afternoon about 4 pm it wasn't crowded and felt like a locals favorite spot. Hello Everyone: I am writing this review based on an event in Chandler I attended last night where Hideout was the catering service. I would like to first mention all the staff involved in the set up and ensuring serving dishes were full of food long the buffet line were very approachable and kind. This particular event had several of their items: Chicken Breast - in the serving pan with wonderful juice, tender and had good flavor. Barbecue sauce was available for those who wanted it. Brisket - was fork-tender, nice barbecue flavor and smoke ring on the piece I was served. Again, barbecue sauce was available if desired. The mac and cheese was delightful, just enough heat and the noodles were cooked right (not overly done). The rasberry coleslaw was a nice change from the traditional. It was made with big pieces of the coleslaw (rather than grated/shaved), all the ingredients were fresh, including the fruit. Rolls were also available with "real" butter (not margarine). Baked potatoes with sour cream and diced scallions (and butter) were also part of the buffet line. Again, the potatoes were just right (not over cooked or dry). It was nice to have the toppings on a separate table to help yourself with the amount desired. There was also Mexican street corn which had a sweet and wonderful, rich flavor on the buffet line. On a separate table were: jalapeño peppers, pickled onions and dill pickles in a help yourself manner. Considering they were serving about 200 people the temperature of the food (hot was hot and cold was cold), overall choices, and the tender meat resulted in my five-star rating of Todd, the owner's product. Based on my experience, I would not hesitate to recommend them for a catering event. Job well done to Todd's crew! read more

Today's is 9/13/25, around 11:30 a.m on a Saturday. I called to make an rsvp and was notified that rsvp need to be done 24 hours in advance. So we parked and walked up. The patio only had 1 family sitting on it and they had the misters on. We were greeted by Linda right away and asked if we needed lunch or breakfast menu. We got both. My dad ordered the scramble bowl, my mom got the filet with fettuccine Alfredo and sweet potato fries. I got the 8 ounce filet mignon with a side salads and loaded mashed potatoes. Drinks were ice tea and root beer. My salad was a bit sad and not as fresh as I would've liked. My filet was juicy, with a dob of garlic and chive butter on top and a side of loaded mashed potatoes. Service was quick for as packed as it was. Prime rib isn't served until 3 p.m. haven't been here since they opened 4 years ago but glad we celebrated my bday lunch here. Stopped by once again for my husbands birthday! We visited on 8/1/25 around 4pm. Honestly we were standing at the entrance waiting to be helped for so long I asked my husband if we should leave. Lmao. Once we got seated (we asked for a booth this time and it was 10/10 better than being sat in the middle of the dining area!) our server was super friendly and attentive! We both ordered the 16oz ribeye steak, my husband got the mashed potatoes with mushroom sauce (a little too salty for him, he left it nearly untouched. ) and fries. I got the loaded baked potato with brisket and mac and cheese. The food was a 10/10 once again. We also got the Texas Twinkies but ate them so fast, I couldn't grab a pic. Loved the bbq ... the service - not so much. Our server looked after our booth in one corner along with the outside tables about a half mile away . I'm not sire why they have organized the waitstaff in this way . Most of the waitstaff walked aimlessly around with frowns on their faces . Too bad because the ribs , the sides and my brisket was very nice. Also had one of those experiences where the waitress uses a handheld pos- just reading out what we owed , set it on the table and walked off - couldnt get the machine to spit out a receipt . Went back last night after 4 years and it was just as good as I remembered. Went in at 5pm on a Saturday with no reservations and they were busy. Instead of waiting the 20ish minutes to be seated we opted to sit at the bar. Our server/bartender was prompt and friendly. I ordered the burnt end meal with a side of spicy sausage. Our first time here after moving to Casa Grande. This is a nice place but be warned, I ordered the prime rib and the smoke flavor was very strong. I did not see where it was mentioned that the meat was smoked or I would have chosen a different meal.I ordered a Captain and coke and was charged $12.00 for a shot and $1.00 for the coke and $1.00 for a large glass! Staff was nice and attentive, the atmosphere was a bit loud, a few loud children were there when we were. I sat for quite a while before being acknowledged, until Vanessa--who's station I sat in was not the server, stepped in and asked if I had been helped. I appreciated her initiative. I ordered the bone-in New York steak, blue rare, and it was cooked perfectly. The tomato basil soup was flavorful, the house salad fresh, and the jasmine rice and baked potato--loaded with lots and lots of butter--were exactly what I wanted. Overall, the food itself was delicious and well-prepared. That said, the service flow was noticeably lacking. Several waitresses appeared to be walking back and forth without actively waiting on tables or carrying dishes to and from the kitchen. It may be time for management to evaluate staffing roles and efficiency to better match the quality of the food. Great meal, but the service experience could use improvement. read more

I ordered the marinated chicken and it came out very dry and unseasoned, seemed like it wasn't in marinade but a minute. it was very disappointing because the one I had a month before was very moist and delicious. My husband ordered the beef rib and it was very dry and overcooked. The steak my friend ordered was so thin and very tough and it was a ribeye which should have been tender and flavorful but it wasn't. Came in on a Saturday afternoon. Service was okay. Best thing we tried was the Texas Twinkies. Mother in law had the burnt ends very small portion for the price. I asked the waitress which was better the smoked wings or the stuffed jalapenos. Yes, answer oh the jalapenos are so good..... So I took her advice. After getting them. I was hoping for more of that brisket flavored since it was stuffed with cream and brisket. Not so much very little brisket in those. Next time I think I would try the Twinkies again for sure and wings. I mean smoked wings should be fire. I'll be the judge. Until next time. Okay, now remember i'm disabled and walking distances is NOT a good thing for me. SO I can't give Hideout a 5 star because you have to usually park in the back behind the building making it a very difficult trek that leaves me breathless and painful. Now I was invited for breakfast by a friend who is also a disabled vet and another close friend. It took a while but I found a handicapped parking space pretty close. I wandered cane and all into the restaurant and was seated right away, sofar very friendly and very nice, the place is very clean and tables are well presented and placed. As my friends arrived we were greeted by the wait staff, very enthusiastic and polite. we looked over their menu and I was impressed by the selection. We ordered and it came quickly, it was very well presented. The food was very good, I was surprised because some of the reviews i've read made me think it may be questionable. food Hot, delicious and the waitress was very attentive and filled the coffee and teas without question. The food I rate 4 Stars only because their biscuits and gravy, well tell you the truth biscuits were okay but the gravy was BLAND and since I grew up in the south I love my country gravy, this was a copy of Cracker Barrels white gravy, flour, salt and milk, not country gravy by any means, but, the wait staff again 5 Stars, and the ambiance is very inviting. so Yes, this is a new go-to-spot for me and my buds. read more

My wife brought me here for my birthday dinner. We were seated right away and our waitress Stephanie took our drink orders. I had a 25oz Coors Lite beer and the bride had a 9oz Mirassou Moscato wine. She brought us their bread with cinnamon butter and my wife ordered the Burnt Ends Meal on bread with a dinner salad and Cinnamon Apple. I had the 16oz Ribeye Steak medium, with dinner salad and Loaded Baked Potato. Also got a side of Loaded Stuffed Jalepenio poppers. The food arrived pretty quickly and everything looked great. It tasted even better! My wife loved the Burnt Ends and Cinnamon Apple. My steak was HUGE and AWESOME and done just right...slightly pink, tender and juicy. The Baked Potato was also great and so were the Poppers. I ordered coffee and Peach Cobbler for dessert. Coffee came quick enough, but after fifteen minutes I canceled the dessert as we had somewhere to be. Although the service dropped off as the restaurant got busier, the food was superb, so I won't mark it down. Never disappointed. Today was not good, food and staff awesome as usual. The booth behind us, one of the folks, a man, could not have been anymore obnoxious. He was complaining loudly so people could hear. That wasnt enough, he was jumping up and down and rocking back and forth in the booth against my bad back..Waitress did everything to try to appease him but he wouldn't accept even an apology. Kudos to the waitress. The manager Kim, then came over. She stayed extremely calm and professional and paid for his and the other 2 folks at the table meals. My wife and I went here the other night as we had each had long days and neither of us wanted to cook. The Hideout Steakhouse has a barbecue and country charm. We were seated within minutes of arriving. You could smell the different wood flavors used to cook/smoke. Everything was very clean. We decided to have the wrapped jalapeños and we opted to share the burnt ends and Tri - Tip. Our server was great. She was friendly and checked up on us several times to make sure everything was okay. The food came out fairly quickly. The Jalapeños had very good flavor and not a lot of heat. Jalapeños are just one of those foods you don't know if it's going to be mild or hot until you bite into it. The burnt ends melted in your mouth and had great flavor. The Tri-Tip on the other hand didn't have a lot of flavor and was a little dry and/or over cooked or smoked. read more
