Rodrigo was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and immediately made me feel at ease. You can tell he genuinely cares about his work and the people trusting him with sentimental pieces. About a month and a half ago I came to Higgins with a couple opals and a diamond that my mother game me. I told them that I wanted to make a pendant for my fiance, I got a general quote and was on my way. I came back a week later and sat down with Diane, she drew a couple true-to-size pictures and we eventually came up with something that I absolutely loved. The younger gentleman there explained to me how my diamond was an older European cut, was incredibly clear and probably had some history in the family... which was true, the diamond was my grandmothers originally! I was so happy to be contributing to the design of the pendant and to bring that history into what we were doing. After the design was complete they told me that to make the pendant in Platinum it would be roughly twice as expensive, and that 14 or 18 carat white gold is a great way to go. They gave me the final quote which was roughly $300 cheaper than what was originally quoted. I gave them the a-okay and the three week wait began. Two and a half weeks later I received a phone call that everything was ready, unfortunately we were out of town and I would have to wait till the following week to pick it up. But when I did it was beautiful, I could not believe how everything came together... It really was a piece of art. I gave it to her later on that week at dinner, I showed her the Sketches that Diane and I worked on together and told her about the older diamond. I wrote this review because this was so much more than giving my fiance a piece of jewelry "out of the showcase". By the time I put the pendant on her, it already had a story. I found this place on yelp originally for a watch battery years ago, and I am so glad I did. They did a beautiful job on the necklace, and now they will be doing our wedding bands to match her engagement ring! read more

I have purchased a few of my watches from Higgins jewelry... They are an excellent business. I have always been treated fairly and had a great experience! I believe they do carry very nice products and their prices are much lower than anywhere else I have been. I used to get all my watches at the mall or specialty watch stores and as their products were nice I always felt like I might be over paying for the product. Turns out I was, I think those places I was going before were marking up the merchandise 3 to 4 times market value and then having a sale to draw people in. This was all just a marketing ploy, which I discovered after shopping around and and finally meeting a smaller and more honest business. Another thing about bigger watch stores is that they can really whack you for repairs. I mean they will really stick it to you if they can. I once needed my crystal repaired on a cracked watch serface and you wouldn't believe how much they charged me. I thought it would at least Be cheap to replace since I was buying the crystal from the same company I had originally purchased the watch. Not to draw any names into it , but I don't think Movado would mind I said , come on guys it doesn't need to cost an arm and a leg just to replace some cracked crystal! Anyways Higgins was good to me and will have my return business, nothing like saving a buck. They also have a really nice assortment of citizen watches, which I am quite a fan of. If you are looking for something in paticular they can even do special orders. I recently was looking for a Citizen watch for my girlfriend and walked into this place and they happened to have the one that she had expressed interest it. This was perfect for me and happened to be the start of a great relationship. read more

Or fixing a neckless that broke over the weekend , they can do it ! I had a idea for a new ring , so... I talked it over with Dan , he make a ring a person could only dream of .. People stop me and ask just to look at it .Also when I go in , they are not only nice and down to earth , they know what they are doing, most times they have a customers in there that has been coming to their store for years and years . Higgins Jewelry Center provides above par service, the owners are simply amazing. When my husband and I got married they were able to take my grandmother's 45 year old wedding rings and fit them to me without disrupting the entgrity of the piece. Dan did a fantastic job and was able to size and repair my ring very quickly. I have also purchased other pieces as have many friends of mine and I continue to be impressed by their service and knowledge.
