Piano bar area.

Nice place to come for a meet up with friends or a group. Great Happy Hour specials on drinks and appetizers with generous portions. The owner and staff are very cordial and accommodating and great prices. I look forward to returning on a weekend night for music and dancing. Inside is clean and spacious with a generous full bar. It was pretty quiet for a Tuesday night. It is a little dark inside, so it can be hard to read the menu. Parking nearby gets filled pretty quick but there is plenty of other parking around the corners and where Pinstripes used to be.

Stopped by over the Grand Opening weekend and was pleasantly surprised. Higgy's is spacious and inviting with plenty of seats around the bar and table/chairs near the piano. They serve both food and drinks. From their drinks menu, I ordered an old fashioned and enjoyed that it followed a standard recipe- with a boozy bourbon. It would have been nice to have drink prices listed on the menu but in the end, it was reasonably priced at $14. We noticed another table's order of nachos being served and the portion was generous! Servers stopped by multiple times to check in on us- which was appreciated and would definitely be needed if sticking around for an evening of music. We even had the owner, Richard, come by and introduce himself and the space to us. We missed the piano as that was expected to start at 7. I look forward to coming by another night to enjoy! Ps there's also darts!

What an amazing addition to The Arboretum in South Barrington! Higgy's newly opened and offers an elevated bar atmosphere with piano entertainment. The inside has a huge main bar to sit at as well as tables and chairs and a dart area off to the side. The piano stage is perfectly placed to enjoy from any spot you're sitting at. Their food menu offers appetizers, salads, wraps, sandwiches, burgers, and tacos. The pricing seemed very reasonable for the area. When I visited, I ordered the Higgy's Old Fashioned. The bartender offered changing the main spirit if I had a preference which was nice. The drink was well balanced and very smooth yet spirit forward. My husband also got the Lemoncello Drop Martini which delicious and not too tart. Each drink was $14. For opening weekend, staff was on top of it! Our group was checked on for additional drinks or food a couple of times. The owner, Richard, also stopped by to thank us for coming and to answer any questions we had. It's not often staff is prepared for day one crowds but this group was exceptional! Overall, I highly recommend stopping out at Higgy's to give them a try! I can't wait to come back to enjoy more piano and try some food!

If I had to describe this place in one word, I would use ENERGY. After having dinner on a Friday night, we came for a nightcap about 9:30 and this place was crazy busy. From the moment we walked in the door the room was bustling from the seats at the bar to large groups seated near the piano and more in the back of the room. The ages were completely diverse and I noted large groups of men and women, couples and groups of ladies or men only enjoying a night out. There are dartboards in the back, but nobody seemed to be over there at the time. This place is reminiscent of the old clubs downtown Chicago back in the 80s. Drinks were delicious with generous pours. We had the King Richard punch and it was phenomenal. The person playing the piano was not that great but the energy that he was supporting in the room was over the top. I noticed some of the reviews were saying they came around 5:30 and it was dead however, when we were leaving about 10:30/11 o'clock there were people continually walking in the door. Therefore, I don't really think this is an early night place. I think the vibe really kicks up later in the evening. It was also nice to have doormen opening the door for you when you walked in and out (whether they were doormen or bouncers I'm not sure, but it worked for me.

What a super fun place!!! We walked by the door on the way to the movie theater and Michael at the door stopped us and sold us! He was so right! We returned after the movie. Our server Annie was absolutely outstanding! She had an incredible vibe that totally matched this fun place! Can't wait to come back. The entertainment was fantastic and the drinks were delicious.

I decided to come back a second time to see if that was the vibe for each of the waiters and it wasn't. They were very pleasant very knowledgeable and didn't say inappropriate things to us. The ambience was awesome if I could design my house to look like that, I would love it. It kind of reminds me of a cigar room. the food for brunch, and the food for dinner was exceptional. If I were to recommend one dish specifically, it would be the octopus I ordered that all three times and I dream about it because it was some of the best I've ever had. This is probably one of the better restaurants in the suburbs outside of the city so if you're willing to travel a little bit to the west suburbs, I highly recommend checking it out plus it is around a lot of things stores shops entertainment, so it wouldn't just be a one and done you can go to a movie and then have dinner just to make it worthwhile.

We ended up getting bread and two apps to start off to share. Couldn't have asked for a better way to start off our meals. Everything was great and a ton of good to share between us. We got the chicken and a pasta for our meals and we couldn't finish both because we were so full. We were very happy the next day to finish the food at home. Overall this is a great place for a date night or a place to celebrate a loved one. We will be coming back and have already told our family members they need to check this place out. I suggest getting a reservation as the place is packed!

The deal is half off apps, but if you enjoy an adult beverage, the house-brewed drafts are also half off. M-Th 3-6pm, dine-in only. At least that's what it is right now. I feel like it changes, so maybe call beforehand to confirm. I only got pics of the nachos this time, which really doesn't do it full justice because they're bigger than they look in the photo. Food is always good and consistent, there's nothing really to complain about regarding service or prices, and parking has always been really easy, though that could be because we typically go on Tuesdays. I imagine weekends could be a little bit busier, but the place is pretty big, so even if you have to wait, I don't think that you'd be waiting that long. The vibe is also casual and low-key.

I had been here with my daughter about 12 years ago and remembered enjoying it then. We all had burgers and craft beer. My friends went with the Mad Max (burger of the month) and I went with a peppercorn and blue cheese burger. It was thumbs up for all of us on the burgers as well as the beer, which was unique and delicious. I took no pictures that day and just enjoyed the outing with friends, but I was especially impressed with the taste of my burger. I abstained from adding any of my usual condiments, and decided to try it as is, with just their sauce. Best decision ever! The sauce was amazing and the burger was cooked a perfect medium. Like many restaurants, Luck Monk offers their regular menu, plus flyers on their specials, including beers and cocktails. Four days later, I went right back there again on my own, to formally review it with photos. I had to go with that same peppercorn burger, because it was just so good, and to make sure the first time was a fluke. It wasn't. I tried out their chili as well, which was also good. This chef knows what he is doing. This stand alone restaurant is easy to get to, and has ample parking. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and looks high end, though I found the pricing to be reasonable. It would be a great spot to take clients for a business lunch. It's elegant looking , but unpretentious. The hostess and servers are wonderful. I highly recommend the Lucky Monk!

I grabbed drinks with friends here on a Thursday night and we had our pick of the seats. Luckily my friend, who has been here before, grabbed us seats by the center fire place and we were able to enjoy the atmosphere; chill and, despite the aesthetic, not western-in-your-face. In fact, we were seated as some super comfy leather couches. Sure, it has some special experiences (the bathrooms are slightly confusing the first time) but I thought everything was very well done. The menu has a little bit of everything, from cocktails to beers, small plates to entrees. Again, we only had drinks but my "Campfire" cocktail was tasty (but a bit sweet). I was slightly dismayed that they were all out of both sour beers as well... oh well. For what we were looking for, a chill spot to catch up and imbibe, this place hit the mark perfectly. If you've never been then it's worth checking out.
