Wish I read honest reviews before deciding to put my son through this. My son started daycare here in June, a month before he turned 2. I spoke to Shawna, the director, about my concerns with him so we woud be on the same page. Throughout this time I would ask his teacher Ms. Monica how he was doing which her replies were almost always "he's just all over the place and idk maybe he'll be better off in the 1 year old classroom", so nothing substantial for me to go off of to the point where I just stopped asking her anything and tried to communicate more with the director instead. Well Shawna was great at asking me if we were getting him help. I told her in early September we were set to have a meeting to see what help he would require. Throughout this time I wasn't crazy about having him attend here but had no choice in the beginning because it was the cheapest around and because of my son's issues I didn't want to put him through too many changes at once. Reasons why I wasn't crazy about them: -At least twice we picked him up and his class stunk like poop, he was pooped and already started getting a rash since he's sensitive, idk how they didn't smell it -His teacher Ms. Monica always seemed put out when he would show up and never acknowledged him -They would do the bare minimum to say they're "taking care of the kids", left his diaper ointment in his cubby until I physically handed it to them to use -When I packed him lunch, because they feed them almost nothing and my son would come home starving, I would let Ms. Monica know and she would forget to feed it to him but maybe twice -He was constantly getting hit in the beginning, sometimes they knew what happened but not always even said "he came from home like that" once which was obviously not the case or I wouldn't have asked Shawna told me 10/3, when I was rushing out to get to work, that they would have to make his last day 10/13 because he took too much of the teacher's attention and "parents are paying for their kids to be taught a curriculum. He's in kids space, eating their food, and grabbing their cups" Which the curriculum part is not true because they're always watching tv in all classrooms. TODAY: I went to talk to Shawna about why during our conversations this wasn't brought up and I was blindsided. To say she flipped her switch in character, is an understatement. I was upset of course but my intention wasn't to argue but have a conversation to get an understanding especially so I can help MY child because we were switching daycares anyway and I obviously wouldn't have brought my kids in to their classrooms if I was going there just to be argumentative. She would not let me get a word in, I found out after her talking over me the entire time that my son was apparently hitting other kids (which had to be learned behavior from all the times the kids would hit him) and parents were complaining. Not once was this ever brought to my attention until today and she had the audacity to say I never followed up with her about what was going on with getting him help. During our "conversation" she said "idk why we're even having this conversation if we already said their last day is Friday and I have a daycare to run but if you'd like we can make their last day today" which I gladly accepted and walked out of her office to get my kids, this lady followed me into the hall STILL arguing!! Oh and Ms. Monica lost my son's wipes and diaper ointment so she couldn't give them to me when I asked for all his stuff If this is how professional the DIRECTOR is when someone wants to have an adult conversation with her, I can't imagine how everything is run and what we don't see/know. I would only recommend this daycare if you have older kids or just need a cheap option that literally does the bare minimum and you literally have no other choice. Definitely not for families who need a daycare that actually cares about the kids or at least communicates effectively with them.

From the first call to the first tour, I felt at home. I've never felt as if they were putting on a show. They are consistent in their care and character. I now walk in there with such a peace knowing my son is being loved and well cared for when I'm away. I love that they don't have lots of turnover with their staff. There is consistency with the faces which helps not only the students, but the parents as well. It also says so much about the owners! I truly think we underestimate the value of quality care and what that looks like. It looks like your child running up to his/her teacher every morning for a hug. We know hugs are very personal and trust must be established. It really says so much about the teachers who establish this trust with their students. It also looks like watching your babe through the window and seeing the teachers sow seeds of character that will last. It looks like your kiddo coming home and doing things you may have never taught them, like sign language, blowing kisses, cleaning up toys and recognizing colors and shapes. It looks like your child being greeted by their name as soon as they walk in the door. They truly care about their students and this is a reflection of that. In addition, they feed them healthy foods which helps me at home incorporate more into his diet with less fuss. I especially love the updates throughout the day with photos and activities they are doing for the day. You can't put a price on peace, ya'll! I visited so many daycares and read so many reviews, after 2 weeks of taking my lunch hour to go tour different facilities I thought I would never find the right daycare for her. KinderCare Deer Park was the last daycare I had on my list to visit and I wish it would've been first on my list! They are the absolute best and I am forever grateful for Ms. Maria and the rest of the staff! The attention and care that is given to my daughter is well above my expectations. My daughter wakes up every morning ready to go to KinderCare and she stays happy at drop off and at pick up right when we drive away from the center she tells me again "I go back to school" this makes me happy because I know she feels comfortable. They were so informative and answered every question I had, security wise, if my baby got sick, if something happened. They have a plan. They help potty train and genuinely care about each baby. They spend so much time planning fun activities for the kids and my four year old sometimes tells me he'd rather be at school than with me (ouch lol). The admin team also deserves a shout out. I guess you could call her my little "Velcro" baby. She doesn't do well meeting people for the first time as she is a bit shy... at first. Despite my explanation that my daughter was merely curious and did not provoke the situation, Denise's response was dismissive and lacking in empathy. In addition to my experience with Denise, I also noticed that the toddler teachers seem overwhelmed with the number of children under their care. My final straw was witnessing my daughter's hair being pulled and her being dragged down without any acknowledgment or apology from Natalie, one of the Directors . It was alarming to see such an incident go unnoticed by the staff, and it left me questioning why my daughter seems to dread going to school. The lack of communication and accountability is deeply concerning, especially when it comes to the safety and well-being of the children. It's disheartening to be met with smiles while legitimate concerns are overlooked. I believe addressing these issues, including the staff-to-child ratio and the need for better communication and supervision. I am deeply concerned that if one of the directors has the audacity to speak to me in such a dismissive manner, then they may also have the power to influence how teachers handle parental concerns. It's troubling to think that legitimate worries expressed by parents could be overlooked or dismissed by those in positions of authority. A culture of dismissiveness from leadership can trickle down and affect how staff members interact with parents and address concerns. It's essential for the daycare's management to foster an environment of respect, accountability, and open communication, starting from the top down. Parents entrust their children's well-being to the daycare, and it's imperative that this trust is respected and upheld at all levels of the organization. Mrs Alejandra and Mrs.Sinclair are great teachers in her class but something just isn't right about the administration.

Once you step inside, you'll see the environment is beautiful, welcoming, and clearly designed with children in mind. One of its advantages is that children aren't confined to the same classroom all day. They have access to different spaces where they can explore, play, and learn, and they also spend time with children of different ages, which helps them develop socially. The teachers are exceptional (shout out to Miss Olga, Miss B, Mis Cha Cha, Miss Renee, Mis Naiely...). Every day they come up with thoughtful, creative activities that make learning fun and keep the children engaged. You can tell how much time, dedication, and love goes into everything they do. Our son started here without speaking a single word of English. Thanks to the patience, kindness, and encouragement of his teachers, he not only learned the language but also felt safe, happy, and at home from day one. He was genuinely excited to go to school every morning, and as parents, that's the greatest recommendation we can give. Now he is really sad to go. The staff is communicative, caring, and fun. They strike a great balance between fun and learning, and our kids always came home having learned a new fact or life skill along with a story about a fun game or dance they did. We have been so surprised at how independent and outgoing our kids have become since starting at CHMS. We had to relocate from Houston, and of all the things we'll miss, CHMS tops the list. The folks there are so dependable and truly felt like family. It was truly a privilege to send our kids there, and we cannot recommend them highly enough.
