I had what I considered to be a slightly challenging project that involved moving and replacing an old and large cable connected television off a very high wall, and adding a television in another room without service. As a working professional, I was hopeful the work could be completed on a weekend day, but wasn't expecting to hear from anyone immediately after posting the job. In fact, I wasn't really sure I wanted to be barraged with phone calls from prospective companies. But my phone rang that Saturday, and it was a call from Shawn. They r very good @ responding to your service call. They showed up to my home on the same day to get my business (my dollars , $150/ hour....+ the equipment they sold me.) High definition audio video is also excellent in selling you a lot of electronic devises from remote controls to cables and more.... I ended up getting a 5000k bill. They don't disclose prices up front, if they would let customers know up front people would probably run away as the bill gets high quickly, mine was over $5 k. I wish I was notified prior the job I had truly no idea they charge $150/ hour. I would not recommend them due to their poor customer service response. SHAWN GALLEGOS was to redo my TV and sound system, including reconfiguring my current cabinet, installing a new TV, wall mount, sound bar, switches, and connectors. Initially, he appeared to be knowledgeable about such work. The project occurred over a six month period, primarily because I had to repeatedly call or email him to do the work. He is in the Valley, and even though I am in his stated service area, he did not want to come to my house unless he had other work in WLA at the same time. I purchased the major items; he bought the others. His work changed the look and quality of the existing cabinet, so I had to have a cabinet-maker cover what Shawn had left unfinished and altered. After his work was allegedly completed, Shawn still had to change various components to get the system working fully. His final negligence was when the TV set would make cracking and popping sounds, go dark, come up again, then repeat through the same cycle. I called him; he thought it was probably a connector and/or a short, and said he'd get back to me. Instead of waiting again for him to respond, I called another tech person who reconfigured Shawn's work in the next two days. Two weeks later, Shawn left a message saying he was busy and forgot to get back to me. All the work ultimately cost three times what Shawn quoted. There were no written estimates, bills, or receipts, only the unsatisfactory work, and a pile of unlabeled wires and cables left in the cabinet. That I didn't demand paperwork was my error. Also, his general sullenness should have been another clue. Shawn's website states the following, none of which appeared to be true: "Satisfaction guaranteed," "We have always put our customer's needs first and go out of our way to meet their needs," "Staff wears masks" (never worn, and the only staff is Shawn), and "Accepts Credit Cards" (actually, checks only). read more
