I don't live in Ridgecrest so I called the number in spite of the fact it didn't mention it was a hospital number. I was told the Clinic was across the street from the hospital. I arrived on time to the Medical Office but all the doors were locked. There was a frail elderly man trying to gain access also. I called the number and told the receptionist I couldn't gain access to the building. She sarcastically said we have been seeing patients all day. I clarified the building was across the street from the Hospital and in front of the Marriott. I finally gave up and hung up on her. Someone else called back and gave an address of a street name I couldn't pronounce and certainly couldn't couldn't spell. She told me to put the address in my smart phone. I am a senior citizen and I can't see the screen of my phone in the sun. After driving over 2 hours to get to the appointment I just had to leave. This whole epic could have been avoided if they would have texted me an address and an appointment verification. The elderly man that was there also just left. Unbelievably poor patient service. I hope the Dr is aware the poor quality of the staff is preventing him from seeing patients

Called the clinic, told them I needed ultrasound, blood work. I let them know I needed to set it as…read morea physical to which the receptionist replied no problem see you at 130. I get one free physical under my insurance per year. I show up and wait 20 mins behind a lady in line. She tries to charge me a copay and I tell her no this is a physical it's free, and when I check in she doesn't even have my name down for the appt she has me down as Becky or something. Then she tells me I need to fill out new patient papers which is fine and expected, I told her it was fine and that I usually go to another clinic to which she quickly responded "oh ok well you can go there". I said well I can't just walk in and get a physical I've set an appointment here I'll just go here. She acted like she didn't want to go through the trouble. I proceeded to fill out my papers, turn them in Waited about 30 mins or so .They called me back and had a new girl fill out my papers who clearly should not have been doing so because she was extremely confused about what to fill out and where. They put me in a room and left me there for what felt like an hour before the dr even bothered to check and when she did DR.Eve Mercy popped her head in,says are you hope? To which I replied do you work here? (She was not wearing professional clothes at all) she says yes so I said yes and then she left me there for another 20/30 mins. When she did come in she just came in with no introduction and says "why are you here?very rudely, I was immediately put off and uncomfortable with the visit because of her blatant attitude. I said well I'm here because as I wrote on the paperwork I'm experiencing these symptoms and my phone doctor recommended I got an ultrasound, blood work, urine check. She replied again with why? I explained my symptoms again and she seemed very impatient and rushed to get me out the door. She tells me I need your urine so I go to give a sample, the bathroom was so disgusting I was distracted to the point that I forgot to give the sample! I came back in and let her know I'd need to drink some water and asked for where I could get some, she pointed to the sink rudely. If you live out here in southern cal you know why we don't drink water out of the sink. I've never experienced that ever. She leaves again and comes back with the wrong paperwork, forgot to order my pregnancy test, leaves again, comes back in and says "it's negative" to which I reply "what's negative, pregnancy test?" She shorty replied yes. I tell her ok , she proceeded to make little to no eye contact with me and ask me a couple questions. Then she goes to leave again and as she does so I say "you know I'm here for a physical too right?" She very rudely replied "yes, that's what I'm doing" (with a rude smile). She walked in the hall again,Comes back and did a quick breath check, nose check and ear check. I asked her about the ultrasound and bloodwork and she tells me "we don't do that here", I say "what?" I called ahead and your lady on the phone specifically told me you would order in someone to give me an ultrasound and she said I could get the bloodwork. She says we don't do ultrasounds in cal city. I said ok well had I known that I wouldn't have waisted my only physical. She looks at me and says with a smile, "well, does it really matter?" I was shocked and said "excuse me?" She repeats herself to which I reply " well yea it does ! I wouldn't have come here had I known". She says again "well we don't do those here".Then she proceeds to tell me I have to come back before 10 to get my blood drawn. Even though I was clear on the phone of what I needed and was insured these services would be provided. She then rushed me out of the office with a script for heartburn that she shoved at me as she leaves. She didn't complete my physical, I was there for stomach pains and she never once touched my stomach or examined it, she also skipped reflex check,& told me to come back the next day to finish up. I was so done at that point I couldn't believe the way I was treated by a "professional Dr."So I went straight to the counter and told the nurse my physical was not completed and I wasn't happy with the way I was treated so I'd like to cancel the whole thing and go elsewhere. She apologized and told me yes I could do that so I thanked her. At this point the dr actually turned around from down the hall and came towards me with all the attitude in the world and says "what's the problem" the nurse explains, the dr says oh your mad you couldn't do ultrasound. I said no I'm mad about the way you treated me in there like an annoyance. She is waving her papers around become agitated & the nurse is apologizing for her. She says your medical right I say no I'm united, she got a big eyed scared look & says "oh you're PRIVATE? I say yes. They were assuming I was under state ins, And treated me like crap! Which is wrong even if you're under medical every patient deserves respect! Don't go there.

My husband and I want to be clear that our concerns are not with the doctors at Reen Medical Group…read more We have been satisfied with the physicians and the medical care provided. Our concern is with the communication and professionalism of certain office staff. We have repeatedly experienced difficulty getting phone calls answered or receiving callbacks. We were eventually given a number to text, which initially seemed helpful, but texting became essentially the only way staff would communicate. This has resulted in misunderstandings and important information not being clearly communicated. The incident that prompted this review, however, crossed a line. My husband was told that my mother could stop by the office to pick up his MRI order. The staff member he was communicating with, Alexis, did not inform him that the office closed for lunch or provide specific pickup hours. My mother arrived during what apparently was the lunch period. Rather than professionally explaining the office was closed and asking her to return later, Alexis decided to let my mom in to give her the paperwork, but made it clear with her mannerisms and tone that she was put out, irritated, and negative towards the request. What came next was profanity from both sides. I'm not saying what was said by my family members was acceptable, but I know for a fact that the employee could of handled herself in a more professional level, as she gets paid to do so. We fully respect that employees are entitled to lunch breaks. That is not the issue. If paperwork can only be picked up during certain hours, those hours should be clearly communicated or better yet, email the paperwork. A communication failure does not justify profanity, personal insults, or verbally abusive behavior toward a patient or family member. We will be requesting a meeting with Dr. Reen to formally address this incident and our ongoing concerns regarding office communication and staff conduct. Good physicians deserve a staff that reflects the same level of professionalism. Unfortunately, based on our experience, that is not what occurred here.
