We stayed twice on this trip, once in a pull through on the second row from the office, and once on the newer first row from the office. This park is large and there are a few grassy areas for pets on the ends of the parking rows. Lots of road surface to walk your pets also. Each site has full hook-ups. The older sections have more mature trees. Both sites were asphalt paved parking surface with gravel on both sides. Our first site had the water valve inside a round enclosure. The valve was off when I hooked up, and I reached in to turn on the valve and a black widow spider ran past my hand. I was a little hesitant to get back in there again, so I turned the splitter valve off when we left. They had a nice large office/clubhouse, but we didn't use any of that area. They had a dump station available that we didn't need either. There was a Winger's restaurant/Casino next to the office that we tried our luck at the casino side but didn't eat in the restaurant. On our second visit, we booked within one day due to an emergency and they were very accommodating to us. We also arrived early, and they had to charge us $5.00 early fee, but we were just glad they let us park early. We will definitely return again when in the area.

July 9, 2026- Winnemucca, NV…read more IThis campground is fine for what it is--a convenient one-night stop. The sites are level with full hookups, and it's a large RV park. Overnight guests will most likely be assigned to the D row, where the other one-night travelers are grouped together. The park has a somewhat institutional feel, with modular cabin buildings that each contain three cabins. The full-time RV residents are located in the back rows of the park. There is a fenced gravel dog run, but no swimming pool. I had planned to do laundry, but all three of the large washing machines were out of order, leaving only three small washers, which were already in use. Also, Wi-fi did not work very well. I used my cell service which worked much better. The camp store had very little inventory, and all of the refrigerated cases were empty. In addition, the area outside the office was fenced off and being used to store construction materials, which didn't make the best first impression. Overall, it served its purpose as an overnight stop, but I wouldn't choose it as a destination for a longer stay.

When you pull into your spot you have to share a picnic table and space with the campers beside you. The picnic tables are very old and peeling. Be careful if you sit at the picnic tables! When we checked in the lady was very nice and very excited they have free bathrooms and showers. OMG! I've never stayed at a place with such filthy showers and bathroom. I wouldn't bathe my dogs in the shower (see attached pictures). We were there three nights and for two days there was a dirty bandaid on the shower wall! (I should've taken a pic of it) We saw some workers mowing the grass in the front to make the front of the park look wonderful. The rest of the park has weeds every where. The registration desk runs such short hours! We couldn't talk to anyone in person because we'd leave camp before 9 and return after 5. Each night the smell of sewer through out the camp was horrible! There are other places in Winnemucca that are a lot better (we drive through a few after we set up camp at our sad spot)

Thank you so much!! Very clean here! It's all gravel and everything is well maintained. Large bathroom/showers, a pool, 2 doggie areas (no grass though) kind of like large sand boxes but very clean! They even have a dog washing station! Clearly they're a dog friendly RV park. Theres a lot of long term guests there, some who are working the lithium mines 60 miles away, everyone is friendly. There were many trailers that appeared permanent and lots of big dogs outdoors in kennels set up. They have a koi pond that is in need of a deep clean. Overall: An easy pull off for a night of rest before hitting the road but not quite the place you'd want to hang out outdoors in the evening for ambiance.

It's a pretty spot for sure, but I'd rather go down to another beach/lake area which is much larger in order to have a better/easier experience when traveling with my pups, which is often so there's that.

Patriotic small "living" ghost town. This park is a great destination for a group with toys(quads,…read moreside by sides). Across the street there is a unique local bar, for adults to enjoy a drink and tables with ice cream and sodas for the kiddos. At the RV park, Multiple full hook up and non hook up sites. Amazingly friendly owners and townspeople. Super clean restrooms with showers and access to an indoor full court basketball. We went on Memorial Day Weekend and were able to purchase a fabulous full breakfast, watch a local parade and memorial service at the town cemetery. The speakers were heart felt, sharing personal stories of local residents father's buried in the cemetery that served during WW2 and both were POW's, and made it back to continue their lives in Paradise Valley, complete with the pledge of allegiance and the national anthem played perfectly on a trumpet.

Bad news. Randy Clark sold Clark park. Since last year, the price has gone up from $45 to $65 per…read morenight. Clark Park has always been first-come-first-served. We've been there 20 times in the past 10 years and never had a problem. Well the new owners decided to make it by reservation only. We couldn't have known. We arrived and chose an open site, as always. We paid and settled in. A couple of hours later people showed up and informed us that we were in the site that they had reserved online. There is no one on site to help. No office with someone to tell us about the changes. We drove 5.5 hours to get there. Well, after a few phone calls and a half hour, someone came to straighten things out. But the uncomfortable situation ruined the place for us and, we expect, the other campers too. We won't reserve a site there for fear that the same thing will happen to us as happened to the campers who reserved the site. It's a shame but after 20 stays, we're not going back.

Star Point Trading Post and RV Park is a friendly outpost, located in Mill City, Nevada along I-80 about a half hour west of Winnemucca. Star has a well-equipped general store, that sells a little of everything when it comes to groceries, beer, liquor along with camping supplies, hardware and automotive supplies. But... that's not all, as there's a fantastic restaurant, that features a full-service bar, for your enjoyment! As you enter, you'll notice the cashier's station is to your immediate left, with the bar and restaurant just beyond. To your right is the general store. The building is evenly divided between the store and the restaurant. I love the giant yellow gumball machine. Dollar bills are stuck to every column in the bar area. The general store has a little bit of everything, as it's the only store for many miles. You name it, they have it, including a deli case, snacks, a few groceries, lots of beer and soft drinks, with a shelf that has a good selection of wine and liquor. The aisle in the center has a great selection of nuts and bolts, and on the other side, there is lots of camping and outdoor products. There are also automotive items, and cleaning supplies. Even though they have a near-monopoly for miles around, the prices are what you'd expect to pay if you were in downtown Winnemucca. The second page of the 7-page menu features "Burgers and Sandwiches." I was tempted to order the "Half Pound Foot Long All Beef Hot Dog," but in the end, I went with the "Half Pound Original Buster Burger." All burgers and sandwiches include cheese and a side, and the menu offers a vast assortment to choose from. To see all seven pages of the menu, From the "Burgers and Sandwiches" section of the menu, I went the "Half Pound Original Buster Burger," which seemed to be the "signature" offering on the lunch menu. All burgers include cheese, so I chose "Pepper Jack," and my side was "Crinkle Fries." When you order a burger, you are treated to a vast array of sides, along with several varieties of cheese, which is included with the price of your order. Side choices include crinkle fries, seasoned curly fries, seasoned Jojo potatoes, onion rings, baked potato, small green salad or cottage cheese. I've never seen a restaurant that offers so many choices of sides! Cheese choices include American, pepper jack or Swiss. Add-ons are available for additional $1.00 each. The burger stated out with a half-pound of ground beef, cooked perfectly medium, just the way I love it. When I placed my order, I didn't mention how I desired my meat to be cooked, but I'm sure Tara could have cooked it any way I wanted. The pepper jack cheese was melted perfectly, and the helping cheese was large. The meat and cheese was set on a large, fresh, lightly buttered and toasted roll. The fresh garnishes of lettuce, onion and tomato were placed on the plate, to be added at my discretion. This is an outstanding for a superior burger, as the 'hot' stays "hot," and the "cold' stays cold. Tara knows her burgers! The "Crinkle Fries," were deep fried to a light golden brown, and lightly salted, which made for perfect fries. Included on the side was a small cup of ranch dressing, which makes for an outstanding dip. I could have asked for ketchup or hot sauce, but I'm happy with ranch! I added the onion, lettuce and tomato, and took a bite into my burger, and was instantly in "burger heaven." The meat was lightly seasoned, juicy and tender, and I could actually taste the pepper jack cheese, which enhanced this amazing burger. The cool garnishes contrasted to the hot meat, cheese and bun, which made for one of the best burgers that I've ever had the pleasure to enjoy for a long time. Chef Tara has talent! As I enjoyed my cheeseburger, a steady stream of locals came in to purchase things in the store, pick up a newspaper, or just to chit-chat. Don knew everybody by name, as Mill City is a small community. My "Original Buster Burger" was simply delicious, the fries were amazing, the beer was cold, and the staff was super friendly. When you're in the mood for great food, and maybe you need to pick up a few supplies, stop by Star Point Trading Post and RV Park, enjoy the food, and say a friendly "hello" to Don and Tara.
